RUSH: Now, ladies and gentlemen, yesterday on this program I was handed in the middle of the program an updated news story<\/a> out of Ferguson, Missouri, from the Washington Post<\/a>. The Washington Post story said that one of the autopsies had discovered marijuana in the gentle giant\u2019s system. Today the National Journal has accused me of character assassination for mentioning that. The National Journal dalso has accused Matt Drudge of character assassination for posting a link to the Washington Post story. <\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what it said: “Conservative thought leaders such as the Drudge Report and Rush Limbaugh seized on this new bit of information. But smoking pot is hardly a smoking gun, nor is it indicative of a criminal mind (as Coloradans and Washingtonians would attest).” The character assassination of Michael Brown. The Washington Post doesn\u2019t come under any criticism here, and they\u2019re the source of this! Doesn\u2019t say anything about it. <\/p>\n

Let\u2019s go to Michael Baden, audio sound bite number 11, last night with Greta. She said, “Does the fact that they found marijuana, does that exclude the fact that there might be other drugs in his system or even the marijuana was laced with anything? Is that the final analysis, or could there be more information to come in terms of toxicology, Dr. Baden?”<\/p>\n

<\/a>BADEN: Very important with marijuana is the levels of the different drugs that are present in marijuana to have an opinion as to whether or not he might have been affected by the marijuana, so that he might have been acting the crazy way and may have done things (stammers) to the police officer that normally he would not have done.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait, wait, wait. Wait, wait. What was that? Whoa, whoa, whoa! Ho, ho, ho, ho. Marijuana may have had the gentle giant acting crazy? Whoa. Crazy? Is that right? Is that what I heard? “Very important with marijuana is the levels of the different drugs that are present,” (mumbling) “so that he might have been acting the crazy way and may have done things to the police officer that normally he would not have done.”<\/p>\n

<\/a>Oop! Oop! I wonder if we\u2019ll get a retraction from the National Journal, \u2019cause the National Journal<\/a> said (paraphrased), “There\u2019s nothing to marijuana! It doesn\u2019t turn you into anything. Ask them in Colorado!
