CALLER: Oh, hi. I\u2019m so happy to actually be on the talk show with you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I\u2019m happy to have you on the talk show with me. I\u2019m happy to have you out there. What\u2019s up? How you doing?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Great. It\u2019s a sunny day here. No clouds.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Sunny day with clouds? Well, enjoy \u2019em while you can. No clouds you say, no clouds, even better. Okay. Is it hot, is it really hot, or not?<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s about 85 degrees out here.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Eighty-five. Well, can\u2019t do better than that in August. I mean, that\u2019s cool.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I wanted to talk about your book.<\/p>\n

<\/a>RUSH: My books? Cool.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What do you think about \u2019em?<\/p>\n

CALLER: The books are really good. I can\u2019t believe it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing) You can\u2019t believe it. (laughing) They\u2019re really good, I can\u2019t believe it! (laughing) You\u2019re cracking me up here, Matthew. What do you like about \u2019em, Matthew?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I like Liberty. He\u2019s kind of really funny, and he\u2019s smart, too.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Liberty is the talking, time-traveling horse.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. Very funny.<\/p>\n

RUSH: He is. He\u2019s hilarious. He\u2019s the funniest horse you\u2019ve ever run into.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Matthew, for people that may not know, let me tell them who Liberty is. Liberty is the time-traveling talking horse in the adventure series, Rush Revere and Time-Travel Adventures with Exceptional Americans<\/a>. There are two books out, Brave Pilgrims and First Patriots<\/a>. Have you read both of them?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Only the first one. I\u2019m saving up for the second one with money from selling eggs that my chickens lay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You\u2019re selling eggs that your chicken lays?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Do you sell the eggs by the dozen?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And how much?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Four dollars.<\/p>\n

RUSH: How much?<\/p>\n

CALLER: A dozen for four dollars.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/map>\n<\/p>\n

RUSH: Four dollars for a dozen eggs, and how much money have you collected?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019ve collected $19, I think.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you should be right there, Matthew, you should be right there. I mean, that\u2019s right in the affordability range. In fact, you should have a little more than is necessary. So all you need is somebody to take you to the mall.<\/p>\n

CALLER: We don\u2019t go to the mall much. We kind of just stay home.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, well, let me do this.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I have school now. Well, on Wednesdays we have school.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, you\u2019re in school already? Okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I start on Wednesday. Still kind of getting ready.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Start on Wednesday. Okay. Well, you know, Matthew you have cracked me up here so much by telling me that you really couldn\u2019t believe how good they were — (laughing) — you couldn\u2019t believe how good they were gonna be. I want you to keep the money that you have earned selling eggs laid by your chicken. I want to send you a copy of the second book. And as an added bonus, Matthew, I want to send you the audio versions on CD for both books, Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims<\/a>, which you\u2019ve read, and Rush Revere and the First Patriots<\/a>, which is what you have been saving up money for from the sale of eggs laid by your chicken.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you\u2019re more than welcome. I\u2019m happy to do it. I mean, I think you\u2019ve earned it. You\u2019ve earned it. I mean, it\u2019s very enterprising of you to actually sell eggs by the dozen in order to raise enough money to buy the next book with Liberty, the talking, time-traveling horse. These books, by the way, go deep down into American history, and they take the reader — you like the books because you actually learn about stuff in American history, right?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. I really like history and that class. I like history the most, that class, that\u2019s why I got it for Christmas and I read it like 20 times.<\/p>\n
