RUSH: We go to Ocala, Florida. This is Don. Thank you for calling, sir. Great to have you here, and I appreciate your patience in holding on.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, it\u2019s an hour and a half, but that\u2019s okay. I started listening two months ago, and I couldn\u2019t get through. I had a thing about the 1-800 number. Whatever. Anyways, I think you\u2019re the most comprehensive analyst of politics alive, and you\u2019re an icon and you\u2019re the whole package. I wanted to ask you if you —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait, wait, wait, wait! Ho-ho-hold it!<\/p>\n

CALLER: (chuckling)<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, wait just a second.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Even I… I really appreciate that, but did I hear you right? You just started listening two months ago?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. ‘Cause I wasn\u2019t aware of the program. I listened to you back in the seventies, and I followed you, and I wanted to ask you if you saw the National Geographic show about the 1990s. They had a little plug on there on you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, you know, I\u2019ve got that. I\u2019ve got that TiVoed. I haven\u2019t watched it yet.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Uh-huh. It\u2019s pretty cool. They put a plug on you, and your positive influence on politics back then.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Look at what this guy figured out about me — and he nailed it — in two months!<\/p>\n

CALLER: (bashful chuckle)<\/p>\n

RUSH: The guy nailed it. You are perceptive as heck.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Excuse me. I listen to Laura, Bob, and John, too. But I tried to do get… I should have called Friday on open lines, you know?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I wanted to congratulate you on your feat of your books and receiving the award.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think that was outstanding.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I appreciate that. I really do. Thank you. Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. Another thing. Different shows talked about a few days ago, the National Guard going down the border. I think that if Homeland Security can\u2019t, it\u2019s like two peas in a pod. You know, Homeland Security and National Guard, whatever. What\u2019s your opinion on that? I think it just causes problems.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Sending the military to the border would cause problems?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: How so?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, a conflict of interest with Homeland Security. Homeland Security\u2019s supposed to be securin\u2019 the borders.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, it\u2019s actually the Border Patrol, but Governor Perry… I don\u2019t know if you heard this or not. Governor Perry is the governor of Texas.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. Yes. Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: He said that the Border Patrol in Texas has been moved 45 miles inland! They\u2019re not even on the border.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. Yeah. That\u2019s weird. That\u2019s strange. Go ahead.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, you probably heard Luke say that or Luke or Bob or Tom. Whoever. But they\u2019re not even on the border. <\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: I know. It\u2019s strange.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But the Border Patrol is supposed to be securing the border. Homeland Security, they\u2019re supposed to be… Well, it\u2019s a mess. It\u2019s a mess.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, I know. (chuckling) Anyway, another question is there was talk about militia, a couple militia going down there and that would cause even more problems. Have you heard anything more about that?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ah, the militias! I have not heard of any militias that are mobilizing to go to the border.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I wouldn\u2019t worry about the militias. They\u2019re not a problem.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s probably just a rumor.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Don\u2019t fall for whoever\u2019s telling you about the militias.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I don\u2019t know. There wouldn\u2019t be a… The National Guard would simply be a symbolic Band-Aid. The National Guard, they wouldn\u2019t be in conflict with anybody.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Unless they fired on Homeland Security, and then I don\u2019t think that would happen.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, the thing about the borders is we\u2019re in the North American Union now and there\u2019s really not any secure borders. We\u2019re all one… one… The three of us are all one country now, basically, so that\u2019s —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Not secure, there\u2019s no border. The problem is that the border is being erased. When you get down to brass tacks, there\u2019s this little thing called sovereignty, and we appear to be unconcerned about it. Now, I think Texas Governor Perry does want the National Guard, but only \u2019cause he could send \u2019em to the border. Now, I\u2019m gonna warn you here, Don: The Drive-By Media would love for this to be a militia story. <\/p>\n

They would love to be able to find some goofballs wearing turkey hats that take old buses down there from some state. They would love that. You don\u2019t want to encourage that. That\u2019s not gonna accomplish anything. This is a Regime responsibility, pure and simple. But I appreciate the call. I thank you. The border has become a bus depot. (interruption) How come we can\u2019t tell these other governments to keep their people in or else? <\/p>\n

Are you forgetting the news of last week? The presidents of Mexico and, I think, Guatemala actually had a meeting to facilitate the children of Guatemala transversing the Mexican southern border. The government of Mexico is working with the government of Guatemala to — I don\u2019t know– facilitate the migration. Nobody\u2019s trying to stop it! (interruption) No, we have not said… (sigh) I don\u2019t know of any…<\/p>\n

When is the last time, for example, the government of the United States told the government of Mexico to get a handle on this and to stop it? Do you remember when that\u2019s ever happened? (interruption) That doesn\u2019t happen. (interruption) When? (interruption) Oh, well, okay. Eisenhower, for crying out loud. Well, it\u2019s not Jurassic Park here. We\u2019re talking about in the modern era, and it doesn\u2019t happen, and it certainly isn\u2019t gonna happen with Obama. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: This is Don in the Rio Grande valley, Texas, and welcome to the EIB Network. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hello, Rush. This is the first time I\u2019ve ever been on your radio station. Thank you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I used to work in a detention center that took care of undocumented minors. It\u2019s been about six or seven years since then, but I can tell you exactly what goes on in those detention centers. From a humanitarian point of view, they give them great service. The company I worked for was wonderful. But from a taxpayers\u2019 point of view it\u2019s kind of a nightmare because people are really unaware of how many billions of dollars they\u2019re spending on these facilities, and they\u2019re building more and more of them.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Yep.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And they\u2019re trying to, you know, protect the border.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, now, your experience is six or seven years ago. Six or seven years ago there was not this flood that is occurring now. We\u2019re being overwhelmed at the moment. The detention centers are full. They are asking churches to ask parishioners to house these kids and not tell anybody about it. They are dispersing these kids to states all over the country, Michigan, Nebraska, and the governors of these states are not being told. They\u2019re not spending much time in the processing centers because there\u2019s so many coming in. They are not being properly medically screened. They\u2019re not there for the length of time. <\/p>\n

The taxpayer hit, I think, and especially when you\u2019re talking about the Tea Party, which is the greatest common sense group of Americans we know of, they\u2019re fully aware of what this means budget-wise, taxpayer dollars-wise. They know full well we can\u2019t afford this and they know full well that\u2019s exactly why we\u2019re doing it. There are those who want to break the country. There are those who believe that we deserve this. This is exactly what we did when we were being founded. We invaded other countries. <\/p>\n

I\u2019m telling you, folks, Dinesh D\u2019Souza\u2019s movie, America<\/a>, you\u2019ll hear people say this. This is what we did. We stole Mexico, went in there for the war. We killed \u2019em and we took their land, this is what we did. So we can\u2019t complain. This is exactly what we deserve. There are people that believe that. This country needs its comeuppance. This country needs to be cut down to size. This country needs to be shown what it\u2019s like to be attacked by this country and colonized and oppressed. There are people in full support of this, \u2019cause they think that we deserve it, that this is payback time. <\/line>
