RUSH: Here\u2019s Fred, Prospect Heights, Illinois, as we head back to the phones. Thank you for waiting, Fred. Great to have you with us, sir. Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I enjoy your program, Rush. My theory is the people coming in from South America, the young children, we need \u2019em because we have women marrying women, men marrying women, and young men and women getting married and not producing enough to keep the society going.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait a minute. Fred, let me see if I understand what you\u2019re saying here. You\u2019re saying that we need this influx of young children from Central America<\/a> to counter the fact that men are now marrying men and that women are marrying women, and we need people in here to make up for that because of what? What is wrong with men marrying men?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, we have to produce young people to keep the country going.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, I get it, because men are marrying men and women are marrying women, we\u2019re gonna have a population replacement birthrate —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. Like Europe.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I got it. I see where you\u2019re thinking.<\/p>\n

CALLER: But not only that, men and women are getting married, and they\u2019re not producing enough.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. It\u2019s that contraception. It costs so damn much. Actually it\u2019s so cheap — yeah, Fred, I must admit, I had not seen it this way.<\/p>\n

Alan in St. Bonaventure, New York. I\u2019m glad you waited. Great to have you here. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you, Rush. Mega dittos. Always been a lifelong dream to talk to you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (chuckles) Well, great. Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Something that I wanted to comment on and something that may have been overlooked intentionally or unintentionally. With all these illegal immigrants coming across our borders from the noncontiguous countries, why hasn\u2019t the UN been on anything in their home countries? If things are so bad in their home countries that they need to come here, why hasn\u2019t the UN been on this from the get-go to help improve their lives in their home country so they don\u2019t need to come here?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you see, that\u2019s what NAFTA was to do. NAFTA was supposed to establish a self-reliant, self-sufficient Mexican economy so that Mexican immigrants wouldn\u2019t come here. But it got convoluted and bastardized a little bit.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

<\/a>RUSH: So it didn\u2019t work. The real answer to your… (I just had to throw that in about NAFTA \u2019cause I love to tweak people with it.) But answer your own question. Why doesn\u2019t the UN go to El Salvador and try to straighten them out so the people who live there could maybe enjoy an improved lifestyle? Same thing with Ecuador, same thing with Nicaragua. Why doesn\u2019t the UN do this?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, deep down I think that the UN has a hatred of American exceptionalism. That\u2019s my own personal opinion, and it could be wrong. But, at the end of the day, they hate American exceptionalism.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You are closer than you know. It\u2019s not just a resentment. It\u2019s more resentment for American exceptionalism. What is going on out there in the worldwide left is an effort to cut this country down to size and eliminate it as a superpower. That\u2019s always been the UN\u2019s objective. That\u2019s nothing new. The UN has always… You go back as long as you want.<\/p>\n

Every UN program involves the US paying for more and more to solve the miseries of the rest of the world. The US? We should have a world tax, we should have a carbon tax, we should have a wealth tax, we should have whatever. We need to get more money out of the United States. The reason for it is, “We just can\u2019t have a lone superpower. We just can\u2019t! Not one that is made up of free individuals.”<\/p>\n

A free United States is a bulwark against a world government. A free United States provides a beacon of hope, an economic aspiration for everybody in the world to want to come to. What if they destroy that? What if there is no place anymore for people in El Salvador to escape to? Then they\u2019ll stay. What if there\u2019s no place for Mexicans to escape to and improve their lives? <\/p>\n

What if the United States is turned into something no different than anywhere else? Then they\u2019ll stay. They\u2019ll stay where they are, and they won\u2019t move, and the United States will not be what it was. One of the things that I have found the most difficult to do in talking to young people is to make them believe this. My dad, as I\u2019ve regaled you countless times, warned my brother and I — my brother and me.<\/p>\n

He warned us of this every day. He told us that this is exactly where certain kinds of people wanted this country to end up, and he told us it was an ongoing, everyday battle to stop it. We are the exception. That\u2019s what American exceptionalism is. It\u2019s not just economic prosperity above and beyond the rest of the world. It is the exception to the way we are governed, the exception to the way we live. <\/p>\n

We\u2019re the exception to the notion that people live under authoritarian regimes or under monarchies. We\u2019re the exception to it. A lot of places do not look at us as a model. Some do, but the leaders of the world who are threatened by our system don\u2019t want to emulate us. They don\u2019t want their countries to be turned into things like this, because this is a threat to them. <\/p>\n

So there has always been this assault. Don\u2019t forget the founding of this country was to escape what was the norm for everybody. And just because we escaped it in our funding has not erased the fact that people have resented that. We face it each and every day. The UN is more motivated to eliminate the United States as a destination for people in El Salvador than they are to fix El Salvador. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
