RUSH: Dingy Harry Reid. You know, John Boehner came out and had a press conference. He said, “What the hell is this, a joke?” He was talking about the latest delay in the full implementation<\/a> of the individual mandate. It was March 31st that you had to be signed up, and they said all last week and the week before that, “We\u2019re not gonna extend it.<\/p>\n

“We don\u2019t have the statutory ability to extend it! That\u2019s a hard, fast deadline, March 31st.” Now they\u2019ve extended it to the middle of April. It doesn\u2019t matter if you file quarterly estimates, you still have to pay — start making payments — on your Obama penalty. You don\u2019t. You\u2019re not exempted. If you\u2019re small, you\u2019re not exempted. There\u2019s no delay for you. But Boehner came out and said, “What the hell is this, a joke?” <\/line><\/p>\n

He was responding to the announcement last night that people who had begun the process of signing up for insurance now have until mid-April. “What the hell is this, a joke?” So Dingy Harry had to get in on this today at a Senate Democrat<\/a> press conference. Dingy Harry, during the Q&A with other Democrats disguised as reporters, one unidentified Democrat disguised as a reporter said:<\/p>\n

“We\u2019ve had a number of these delays, and they say that this is giving more people the opportunity to sign up. But when they do have these hiccups or delays, doesn\u2019t that give” our enemies, the Republicans…? He didn\u2019t say that. That\u2019s what he means. “[D]oesn\u2019t that give the other side fodder?” In other words: Senator Reid, aren\u2019t you putting us in a jam here with this incompetent behavior?<\/p>\n

REID: We have hundreds of thousands of people who tried to sign up and they didn\u00c2\u2019t get through! There are some people who are not like my grandchildren who can handle everything so easily on the Internet, and these people need a little extra time. It\u00c2\u2019s not… The example they gave is a 63-year-old woman came into the store and she said, “I almost got it. But, every time I just about got there, it would cut me off.” We have a lot of people just like this. Through no fault of the Internet, but because people are not educated on how to use Internet.<\/p>\n
