RUSH: (laughing) I\u2019m great. How are you?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Uh, excited. (giggles)<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, good! Good! It\u2019s nice to know you\u2019re excited.<\/p>\n

<\/a>CALLER: I\u2019m cutting out, I think. (mumbling) I think I\u2019m cutting out.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, it\u2019s okay. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Are we on the air?<\/p>\n

RUSH: We\u2019re on the air. Time to go. We don\u2019t have much time.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, I\u2019m sorry. Well, I wanted to talk to you about your book, and I\u2019ve also read your second book. I really enjoyed it, and I am not a fan of history. I don\u2019t even read books, and I read your books through. (giggles) I really, really enjoyed it. I used the flashlight for a couple of hours because we were camping.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And you had to read in the dark?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I didn\u2019t want to go to sleep yet because I wanted to find out what happened. I wanted to finish it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that\u2019s pretty big, if you don\u2019t like history but you went to all the trouble to get a flashlight to read it, that\u2019s pretty flattering, Evangeline.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (giggling)<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s very flattering. You\u2019ve read the second book already?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. I read it fast.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/map>\n<\/p>\n

RUSH: Real quickly, what do you like about them? You don\u2019t like history; what do you like about these books?<\/p>\n

CALLER: What I liked about these books? In the first book, I really liked how William Bradford<\/a> encouraged the people.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, let me tell you something. I\u2019m really short on time and I don\u2019t mean to be rude. But your focusing on William Bradford is really important. If you want to learn more — I mean, \u2019cause you will as you get older — William Bradford will be somebody really worth your time to study. He doesn\u2019t get a lot of credit, attention, which is why I started publishing The True Story of the First Thanksgiving <\/a>in previous publications and on the radio show every Thanksgiving. So I\u2019m glad that that made an impression on you, and I really appreciate your call. You never know. You may have a chance someday to vote on whether or not you like that book.
