CALLER: Thanks, Rush. I can\u2019t believe I\u2019m talking to you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, thank you very much for trying. I appreciate your getting through.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I just called to comment on your book and a few things I\u2019d like to tell you. Well, first of all, a couple weeks ago we made a snowman, okay? And a couple weeks later it melted into the exact profile of John Kerry.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Really?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. It was very strange.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing) Is it really true, are you really a harmless, lovable fuzzball?<\/p>\n

<\/a>RUSH: Totally. Totally. I\u2019m one of the nicest, sweetest, quietest people you would ever meet. I\u2019m one of the most humble people that you would ever run into, Riley.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing)<\/p>\n

RUSH: She\u2019s laughing, but it happens to be the truth. You asked and I wouldn\u2019t lie to you about it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yep.<\/p>\n

RUSH: If I were a mean person, I would tell you, and then I\u2019d hang up on you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing) Okay. My mom\u2019s wanted to marry you since she was 15.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Since she was 15. How old is she now, 18?<\/p>\n

CALLER: She\u2019s like, I don\u2019t know, 30.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Riley, hang on. Don\u2019t go away, Riley. Be right back. Don\u2019t hang up.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And we\u2019re back with 10-year-old Riley in Jefferson, Ohio. You did hold on, right?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hm-hm.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, wonderful. Now, Riley, let me ask you a quick question. If I had said that I was not a harmless, lovable fuzzball, would your mother still have wanted to marry me?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I don\u2019t know. Would you?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, she\u2019s asking her. Well, you don\u2019t have to do that. You don\u2019t have to put your mom on the spot. And I was just teasing about your mom\u2019s age and so forth. You can tell your mom I\u2019m very flattered by that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Probably. She probably still would want to marry you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You kind of let a secret out of the bag, didn\u2019t you, when you told me that? ‘Cause you kind of whispered that. You said that real fast.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing).<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, Riley, do you have Rush Revere and the First Patriots?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I heard about it and I really would want it because, yeah, I heard about it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m excited. I\u2019ve only listened to the first book.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You\u2019ve listened to the first book? Oh, you have the audio version of me reading it. Have you read it or just listened to it?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I just listened to the audio book, but I do have the book, too. <\/p>\n

CALLER: I just got that for Christmas.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right. Well, let me ask you this. Do you yet use a computer? Do you surf the Net?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, my mom does.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But you don\u2019t?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, but she can let me.<\/p>\n

RUSH: ‘Cause here\u2019s what I\u2019m thinking. You\u2019ve asked me some stuff, and you\u2019ve given me a reason to talk about something. A, what I want to do, I want to send you the second book, Rush Revere and the First Patriots and the audio version I\u2019m gonna send those out. So when we finish here don\u2019t hang up and the nice man, Mr. Snerdley — not as nice as I am, by the way, he\u2019s okay — he\u2019ll pick up the phone and get your address so we can send it to you. <\/p>\n

RUSH: But wait a minute. Also, what we\u2019ve done, are you listening? ‘Cause I want you to hear this, since your mom surfs the Net. Are you still there?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. We get a lot of e-mails from people like you who have read the book, and they send us amazing pictures of themselves and their kids reading the book. We got one of the greatest videos just over the weekend of a young girl so excited, her book had just arrived. Her brother or somebody gave it to her and she ripped it open and they sent us that video. And we want people to check this out. We\u2019re really building up the Social Center at the Rush Revere website, the Adventures of Rush Revere, which is actually at TwoIfByTea.com<\/a>. <\/p>\n

If you go there just find the Adventures of Rush Revere<\/a>, and it will open up in the Social Center. That\u2019s where people can send pictures, fan letters to Liberty or to Revere and videos or whatever, and it\u2019s growing, and it\u2019s just a great interactive thing. There are games and pop quizzes, tests, questions, all kinds of things that you can do there to further your experience with the books. It\u2019s really, really cool. Now, here\u2019s what else I want to do.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay.
