RUSH: Friday I said, “I\u2019ll see you Monday,” and I had forgotten that I was appearing — and I do it every year. Ernie Els<\/a> is trying to do everything he can for autism. He\u2019s building a big autism center here and he has this charity tournament he does in conjunction with Marvin Shanken, my cigar buddy, Cigar Aficionado magazine<\/a>. Marvin and I always play together in this.<\/p>\n

Rudy Giuliani, the mayor, was with us yesterday, as he was previous year. We were scheduled to play with Lee Westwood. We normally get a pro. Every foursome gets a pro, and Westwood had to cancel because of injury. So they made an emergency call to Michelle Wie, and she showed up, and we just had the best time. She is without question the sweetest. She is just the nicest, the most unassuming, and she happened to be…<\/line><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t mean this to put anybody down. I\u2019m not gonna mention any names. She\u2019s the best-scoring pro that we\u2019ve played with in this event. I mean, she was just on yesterday. She was just tearing it up, just hitting it. I mean, sweet spot, flushing it every shot. I didn\u2019t know… I have to bug out and so I can\u2019t stay for the post-event barbecue. I have to bug out and go. There\u2019s this report from the Golf Channel this morning. I just knew about this when I saw the transcript.<\/p>\n

TIM ROSAFORTE: Michelle\u2019s a celebrity in her own right. She was a last-minute sub. (chuckles) She was in one of the featured pairings with Rudy Giuliani, the ex-mayor of New York, Rush Limbaugh, talk show host, and Marvin Shanken. And there\u2019s an inquiry as to how they — they actually won, uh, the event yesterday. But Michelle was kind of laughing saying the first thing she said with that group is that she went to the same high school as (chuckles) President Barack Obama. So you can imagine where that discussion went.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Wrongo. I\u2019m not gonna give anything away, but no. That doesn\u2019t tell you anything about it. I know Rosaforte, he\u2019s a nice guy, but that doesn\u2019t tell you anything. I\u2019m not gonna betray what she said, but I didn\u2019t know that we won, and I also didn\u2019t know that there was an inquiry into how we won. That means somebody\u2019s alleged irregularities.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Michelle Wie at age 10, was the youngest player ever to qualify for a USGA amateur championship. At age 10. She\u2019s still only 24 years old, from Hawaii. I think she lives here in south Florida now for a bunch of reasons, she and the whole family. I think they called her yesterday morning when Westwood couldn\u2019t make it, and she came right over, and, I mean, no time to warm up. It was so pure. It was a thrill to watch her ball strike. If you play golf, you know what I\u2019m talking about. And there were some people out there watching. To hit it on the sweet spot every swing. I mean, she had a couple she didn\u2019t like, but she was on every green in regulation and hitting the ball a mile. <\/line><\/p>\n

But Rosaforte: “There\u2019s an inquiry as to how they — they actually won, uh, the event yesterday. So you can imagine where that discussion went.” You know, folks, one thing is true, Obama is not in my head 24\/7. I wasn\u2019t even thinking Obama out there, but I do live rent free in his house, in his head. It\u2019s the other way around. So I gotta find out what it is that is being inquired into, \u2019cause I didn\u2019t hear from Marvin. Normally if we\u2019d have won, I would have heard.
