RUSH: Let’s go straight to the audio sound bites. The arrows are once again focused on Don Imus, who is now doing his morning program on our 50,000-watt flagship in New York, WABC AM 77. This was yesterday on Imus’ show talking to Warner Wolf, the sports guy, talking about Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones now with the Dallas Cowboys drafted by the Tennessee Titans. He’s had some scrapes with the law out in Las Vegas, most notably during the NBA All-Star weekend a couple years ago, and Warner Wolf is explaining all this to Imus. He says, ‘Defensive back Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones recently signed by the Cowboys, here’s a guy suspended all of 2007 following a shooting in a Vegas nightclub.’

IMUS: Well, stuff happens. You’re in a nightclub, for God’s sake. What do you think’s going to happen at a nightclub? People are drinking, they’re doing drugs, there are women there, and people have guns. So, go ahead.

WOLF: He’s also — he’s been arrested six times since being drafted by Tennessee in 2005.

IMUS: What color is he?

WOLF: He’s African-American.

IMUS: There you go. Now we know.

RUSH: That’s Imus, ‘There you go. Now we know.’ And of course everybody said, ‘Well, there’s Imus again, he stepped in it.’ He’s making the point here that because the guy’s black he’s always having run-ins with the law. This morning Don Imus explained what he meant.

IMUS: Why would I sit here and say, ‘Oh, yeah, there you go’? how does any — how does anybody — how do you make that connection? No white man with a radio or television program has had more discussions about race relations since December 3rd than I have. I know there’s some people who want to get me, but you’re not going to get me for — this is ridiculous.

RUSH: And the case has been taken under advisement by the Justice Brothers, or at least one of the Justice Brothers, the Reverend Al Sharpton. It still amazes me, after Tawana Brawley, after all of these charlatan-like things that Sharpton has done, that the Drive-By Media still go to him as the arbiter of who can say what, when, in American broadcasting. And yet they do. This is CNN this morning, Kiran Chetry interviewing the Reverend Sharpton, and she said, ‘How did you take the original comments he made about Adam Jones?’

SHARPTON: We’re looking into this. We’ll be talking later today to Dr. Earl Ofari Hutchinson and others that have been involved in this. But I think that one would be naive to think that we would not be disturbed at Imus making a statement without clarifying it at all at that point. You look at the climate just from the presidential election. We’ve had major candidates have to defend their pastor’s remark. I think it would be very naive for people not to make Imus defend his own remarks.

RUSH: Okay, so the Reverend Sharpton happens to bring up Barack Obama. I still sit here, it’s just so typical of the laziness and the cliched acceptance that the Drive-By Media has for the American civil rights movement, much of it populated by frauds, have you heard the fact that the IRS is investigating Sharpton for shaking down businesses? Anheuser-Busch, you name it, he shakes ’em down. The New York Post cover story on this, he shakes these people down for all kinds of money in exchange for promising no riots or no boycotts or whatever. I remember once way, way, way back, back in the old days of CNBC, Oliver North had a Saturday night show. This is the early nineties, and I had been asked to do a speech out at the Statue of Liberty for the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation. I’d gone out, I did the speech and I was scheduled to appear on Ollie North’s show, I think it was at nine or ten o’clock at night, so I finished my speech at the Statue of Liberty, which was a great night, by the way, I mean it was — don’t mean to gloss over this. It was very flattering to me to be invited to give this speech in the shadow of the Statue of Liberty, to the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation.

I got in the car and I sped up to wherever CNBC was. I walked in there and I found out Ollie didn’t tell me that I was going to be sharing the show with the Reverend Sharpton. And that kind of made me mad. I thought I’d been set up here. In my early days of being a guest on TV, it took me a long time to learn that they never tell you the truth about what’s going to happen on the program. They do these interviews of you in the greenroom or pre-interviews, the purpose is to find out what makes you mad so that they can make sure and bring that up. So anyway, they trot Sharpton out after the first segment, and I can’t walk off of this, so Sharpton comes sauntering out and he sits there, and I’m just stunned and Ollie is taking Sharpton as seriously as anybody else ever has, and after the first question to Sharpton, he came to me, and I looked at Sharpton, and I said, ‘Reverend Sharpton, I’m just stunned you have any credibility left, with anybody. And he looks at me and his eyes got wide and his mouth fell open, ‘Whoa, what do you mean?’ I said, ‘Tawana Brawley. How in the world do you have credibility with anybody?’ And Sharpton started defending himself and so forth.

I didn’t have any animosity toward Sharpton. We got along when we were there and so forth. He’s got the kind of personality, he’s a likable guy, but, for crying out loud, he’s now the go-to guy for the Drive-By Media to pass judgment on who can say what. Meanwhile, ladies and gentlemen, real racism is happening in this country, and it’s happening in the Democrat Party. Real sexism is happening in this country, and it’s happening in the Democrat Party. It’s not happening on the Imus show. It’s not happening on WABC. Real racism. How about Obama? How about Obama throwing down the race card? How about Obama’s preacher? You know, Sharpton’s right. Obama’s running for president. He should have to defend that kind of radicalism. And not only did he not do a good job of defending, he’s thrown the reverend under the bus, he’s in the Caribbean somewhere on a long vacation, who knows when he’s going to surface. But they got Reverend J. Wright the hell out of there real fast. So you have that kind of radicalism, genuine, pure racism emanating from a church that Obama attended for 20 years. Then you have Obama last Friday down here in Florida saying he knows that the Republicans are going to talk about his race and his feisty wife and all these other things, when the Republicans are doing no such thing.

The Republicans are a bunch of cowards. They’re not even willing to criticize Obama, much less get into race. They’re running around doing all kinds of things, ‘Not us, not us, not us.’ So Obama’s throwing down the race card straight out of the cliched liberal left-wing handbook. And then we mentioned, I don’t know if you heard yesterday’s program, there was a story in the Atlanta Journal-Constipation, a blog entry. I forget who wrote it, but it was about the head of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference down in Atlanta, and this guy, who’s a Democrat, this guy is saying, ‘Hey, look, just ’cause Obama may be elected president doesn’t mean we’re going out of business down here, because he does not have slave blood. Michelle has slave blood, she down for the struggle, but Obama doesn’t have slave blood.’ In other words, he ain’t got no blood. He ain’t got no slave blood. He’s not down for the struggle. So Obama winning the White House doesn’t mean that Race, Incorporated can go away. It’s going to be needed more than ever. Now, these are Democrats saying these kinds of things. No slave blood? Obama has no slave blood? We turn now, ladies and gentlemen, to the Official Obama Criticizer to close the loop on this. Bo Snerdley. Mr. Snerdley.

SNERDLEY: This is Bo Snerdley, official EIB Obama criticizer, certified black enough to criticize. I have a statement. Mr. Obama, your highly publicized attack on Republicans this week claiming they are readying a racial attack against you is unbecoming and indefensible. In fact, sir, your general attack on Republicans with no evidence to support it is an example of you using unfounded stereotypes to smear an entire group of people. It demonstrates your own bigotry. Your promise to change, your promise to bring hope, instead, what do we get? You revert to the status quo, race card and fear, in order to inoculate yourself and your party from intellectually honest criticism. It is your associates who utter racist and sexist remarks like Jerry Wright, Reverend Pfleger. It is your Democratic Party, your liberal media pals that put race out there time and time again. Bill and Hillary Clinton’s race remarks, the smears about your drug days, the Muslim thing, the Hussein thing, all that came from Democrats. Now the SCLC saying you’re not black enough because you don’t have slave blood? What’s that, Mr. Obama? And the entire country saw it, except perhaps you. That is, if we can believe you. After all, what you say one day changes like the wind. You’re running for president, sir. Grow a set. Comport yourself like a proud, strong black man, not a weak, cowering victim.

And now, a translation for EIB brothers and sisters in the ‘hood. What’s up, easy money? I ain’t trying to diss you, yo, but this race thing you fronting is counterfeit. Everybody scoped it, yo. It was your homeys that were out there flat blast jamming you on the race thing, not those punk ass Republicans. Those lames are too afraid to call nighttime dark because they think your homeys in the press will macaca them out of office. Yo, look, yo, man, they ain’t going to use the race card on you, man. They ain’t going to try to make the bodies drop on you like that. Check it out, man. It’s been your boys out there with the race thing, man, your frontin’ boy Jeremiah, your boy Farrakhan, your boy Pfleger. Your boys are saying you ain’t even got slave blood, yo. What’s up with that? Michelle got slave blood, you don’t have none? Yo, man, come on. By the way, man, where is Michelle, man? You kind of keeping her out the spotlight, yo, man, she kind of looking lace, man, you got to get her some face time. Yo. But check this out. You trying to be smooth, you trying to spin this all out of control, accusing those punk ass Republicans of doing what your medieval Democrat racist brothers been doing all along, but it ain’t going to play. Look, man, I told you before, you wanted the game, you in the game, so you got to play real and you got to get played out. You can’t run with the lions at night and play with the kittens in the day. You talking all this change stuff, then change it up, yo. Get off this race thing and come for real about what you got, what you gonna get, where we gonna be if you get in, you feel me, bro? That concludes this statement.

RUSH: That’s the Official Obama Criticizer Bo Snerdley.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Have you heard what Karl Rove said about Barack Obama? Well, this was from Jake Tapper at the ABC blog, and he says that Christianne Klein, who is an ABC News reporterette, says that at a breakfast with Republican insiders at the Capitol Hill Club yesterday morning, ‘Karl Rove referred to Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, as ‘coolly arrogant.’ ‘Even if you never met him, you know this guy. He’s the guy at the country club with the beautiful date, holding a martini and a cigarette that stands against the wall and makes snide comments about everyone who passes by.’ Rove said Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., ‘needs to come right at him.’ He referred to the latest Newsweek poll showing Obama with a 15-point lead over McCain as nonsense, though he used a more scatological synonym. Rove said he was heading over to the White House for lunch and a chat with the President…’

So he’s got this picture of Obama. He’s standing up against the wall with a martini and a cigarette and he’s passing judgment on everybody, ‘coolly arrogant’ and so forth. I wonder if Obama will say, ‘See? This is racism! This is racism,’ and of course no such thing was intended by Karl Rove. I predicted this by the way. I can remember back in the early days of the primary season in this calendar year. I had a number of people called here, and a number of people asked me via e-mail, ‘Hey, Rush, isn’t it true that if Obama is elected president, then it will be the end of racism in this country? The racists and the race industry hacks will have no credibility to say the country is still racist.’

I said, ‘Wrong. It’s only going to get worse.’

‘What do you mean it’s only going to get worse?’

Well, look at it now. If Obama is elected president, any bit of criticism of him whatsoever, any vote in Congress that doesn’t go his way, the race industry is going to say, ‘This is due to lack of respect for the first black president. This is racism!’ They’re going to say racism about everything, and you can see from this guy from the Atlanta Journal-Constipation yesterday that they’re already setting it up that Obama will not inoculate anybody from being a racist because he’s not got any ‘slave blood.’ So he’s not the first black president. He’s inauthentic; he’s not black enough. He doesn’t have enough slave blood or any slave blood, so he doesn’t come from the slave past, the civil rights past of American blacks; and so he really will not be their first black president. The closest they’re going to get is Michelle Obama as first lady because she has slave blood in her. This is just weird, folks. The civil rights movement and the race industry and Democrat Party politics, are just plain weird.

Another battle has erupted between Obama and James Dobson, this time. ‘As Barack Obama broadens his outreach to evangelical voters, one of the movement’s biggest names, James Dobson, accuses the likely Democratic presidential nominee of distorting the Bible and pushing a ‘fruitcake interpretation’ of the Constitution. Dobson aired his criticism on his Focus on the Family radio program today.’ It was about a, what, a 12- or 18-minute monologue, from what I understand. ‘The Focus on the Family group gave the AP an advanced copy of what Dobson’s 18-minute commentary was, and part of what he said was, ‘Even if we did have only Christians in our midst, if we expelled every non-Christian from the United States of America, whose Christianity would we teach in the schools?’ Obama said. ‘Would we go with James Dobson’s or Al Sharpton’s?’…

‘Dobson took aim at examples Obama cited in asking which Biblical passages should guide public policy — chapters like Leviticus, which Obama said suggests slavery is OK and eating shellfish is an abomination, or Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, ‘a passage that is so radical that it’s doubtful that our own Defense Department would survive its application,” unquote, said Barack Obama. ”Folks haven’t been reading their Bibles,’ Obama said. Dobson … accused Obama of wrongly equating Old Testament texts and dietary codes that no longer apply to Jesus’ teachings in the New Testament. ‘I think he’s deliberately distorting the traditional understanding of the Bible to fit his own worldview … He is dragging biblical understanding through the gutter.”

Now, will this be said to be racist? See, this is the thing — any criticism of Obama — that’s what last Friday was about. Last Friday was about throwing down the gauntlet. Any criticism of him, any mention of his wife is racist. If you mention Jeremiah Wright, it’s racist. I think Obama… I think it’s just hilarious. This is the standard operating procedure that we’ve always had from the left, be it racism or any other subject. Everything they’re trying to do — every element of the campaign, every element of their existence on the left — is designed to suppress speech. It is designed to suppress speech with which they disagree. Look at this guy, Hansen. This idiot, this absolute panicked idiot, who’s about to run out of his fame time. Twenty years ago he sounded the warning bells of global warming. This week he goes before Congress and demands that Big Oil executives be brought up on charges, leaving me out. Nobody knows who these oil executives are. I have been a more forceful critic of global warming, manmade hoax global warming than the oil execs combined and Hansen ignores me? Now he’s out there saying, ‘This is the last chance. We have no more chance to debate it.’ This is about criminalizing policy differences, and this is what the left is about, which is why many of us say that there are strains of Stalinism in the American leftist movement which has as its home today the Democrat Party.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I went back and did a little research, folks, because I still can’t get over this. I can’t get over the fact that this guy from the Southern Christian Leadership Conference in the Atlanta Urinal-Constipation yesterday, Charles Steele, Jr., went out and said that we’re gonna still be criticizing people here because Obama doesn’t have any slave blood. He’s not authentic. He’s not black enough, ain’t got no slave blood. He said that Michelle Obama has slave blood, but Obama does not have slave blood himself, and, as such, the genuine civil rights movement blacks will not have a representative in the White House, therefore the race industry can go on.

One of the bits of research that I did (I vaguely remembered this) is a Chicago Tribune story from March the 2nd of 2007. ‘Many people know that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s father was from Kenya and his mother from Kansas. But an intriguing sliver of his family history has received almost no attention until now: It appears that forebears of his white mother owned slaves…’ Remember this? This ‘according to genealogical research and census records. The records — which had never been addressed publicly by the Illinois senator or his relatives — were first noted in an ancestry report compiled by William Addams Reitwiesner, who works at the Library of Congress and practices genealogy in his spare time. The report, on Reitwiesner’s website, carries a disclaimer that it is a ‘first draft’ — one likely to be examined more closely if Obama is nominated.’

Well, Obama has been nominated. Has this been ‘examined more closely’? Might the Southern Christian Leadership Conference look into this? I mean, if Obama’s white mother — white mother — from Kansas owned slaves, could it be said that Obama has slave blood? Well, can I give you a name? Sally Hemings. I mean, we don’t know what went on between Obama’s relatives and the slaves. We don’t really know. It could well be, it could not be, but he does have an ancestral relationship with slavery on his white mother’s side. Now, many of you have been sending via e-mail questions since last hour’s segment with our Official Obama Criticizer, Bo Snerdley. One of the questions most frequently being asked is if the Official Obama Criticizer, Bo Snerdley, has any slave blood himself because people think this might be a qualification in terms of your being black enough, officially black enough to criticize. So let me just put the question to you. Do you have slave blood flowing through your veins?

SNERDLEY: As I have said previously: I am certified black enough. Yes, I have slave blood. I also have Native American blood.

RUSH: Indian blood, for those in Rio Linda.

SNERDLEY: Yes, yes. And! I have Irish blood coursing through my vanes as well. It shows up under the microscope. All of them, different ones, they show up.

RUSH: You’ve actually had your blood microscoped?

SNERDLEY: Yes, and they identified slave blood.

RUSH: This was part of the process?

SNERDLEY: Yes. We identified the different segments.

RUSH: True. Why did you…?

SNERDLEY: African blood, there. Slave blood, there. Indian blood, there.

RUSH: There is separate slave blood hemoglobin that you can see in the microscope?

SNERDLEY: Yes. They’re chained differently. Leave that alone.

RUSH: Had no idea. And the Irish blood?

SNERDLEY: Oh, yes! It’s a little bit more red at the top.

RUSH: So you’ve noticed all three of these in your blood?

SNERDLEY: Four of them. There’s the African blood.

RUSH: African blood? That’s not the same as the slave blood.

SNERDLEY: No, the slave blood happens when you came to America. You got slave blood then.

RUSH: Oh, I see. Okay. As far as you know, Obama has none of this?

SNERDLEY: From what I understand, Obama has no slave blood. He has African blood, and he has Caucasian blood. White cells. A lot more white cells in the blood of Obama.

RUSH: What do those look like in the microscope?

SNERDLEY: White!

RUSH: That would make sense. So you’re saying the white blood cells in Obama would be the white blood from his, uh, mother?

SNERDLEY: That’s what Joe Biden was trying to say when he said ‘articulate.’ It’s code words. That’s Democrat code words.

RUSH: Code word for what, white blood cells?

SNERDLEY: That’s what Joe Biden was saying! Those are Democrat code words.

RUSH: ‘Articulate’ meaning he didn’t have slave talk, right?

SNERDLEY: Right!

RUSH: Slave talk. Okay. Well, I appreciate this enlightenment. That’s Official Obama Criticizer Bo Snerdley answering questions from the audience, whether or not he has slave blood.
