RUSH: Greetings, my friends, and welcome. You are tuned to the most-listened-to radio talk show in America and the most-talked-about radio talk show in America. And a radio program which presents the greatest opportunity for anybody who wants to get a message out. And I am the host of this program, now acknowledged as God’s gift to women by the feminists themselves at their convention: Rush Limbaugh, happy to be with you. Well, they said it yesterday. We had the audio sound bites. They said I was a “godsend,” and therefore I, El Rushbo, am God’s gift to women. You know, I have affectionately referred to the NOW gang as the NAGs (the National Association of Gals) for over 15 years, and the head NOW gang babe was asked what she thinks about that yesterday on television yesterday.

Yeah, after 15 years. “Outraged!” They are outraged!

And we’re here. And our telephone number if you want to be on the program, 800-282-2882, and the e-mail address, ElRushbo@eibnet.com.

A famous… Well, “famous” to people in politics. A famous liberal Democrat strategerist is puzzled. She doesn’t know why women are voting for Santorum. She doesn’t know why women are voting for Republicans. She doesn’t know why I’m still on the air. And she was really flipped out when she learned that Santorum sent out an advertising flier with a quote from me on women that helped. She admits to being stupefied by all this. We have a lot to do here today, folks. Apparently nothing is sacred anymore. There are news reports today (and I have it right here in my formerly nicotine-stained fingers) that an Indian tribe in Wyoming… (interruption) Now, how can I be anti-woman? I even judged the Miss America Pageant. I even had Miss America on this program that year.

And, meanwhile, the Obama campaign’s running an attack ad against a woman who’s not even in the race, who is a private citizen: Sarah Palin. And yet it’s the Republicans who are accused of waging a war on women. I was watching Hannity last night and they’re still trying to make that case that there’s a terrible, terrible war on women. Why doesn’t what’s happening to Sarah Palin outrage the NAGs? Why doesn’t it bother ’em? Well, we all know. Meanwhile, the same Obama regime (which is running attack ads against Sarah Palin, a private citizen) is negotiating with the Taliban, promising to give them five of their top terrorists back. The Taliban, by the way, throw acid in the face of girls if they want to go to school.

This is the group that President Obama making deals with: The Taliban (or, as he says, the “Tal-ee-bahn”), the same Tal-ee-bahn waging a real war on the women of Afghanistan each and every day and twice on Fridays.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Danny in Dayton, Ohio, great to have you on the EIB Network. Hello, sir.

CALLER: Hey, great! It’s a real pleasure to talk to you, Rush. Mega dittos from Dayton.

RUSH: Thank you very much.

CALLER: Well, I wanted to call and talk to you a little bit. As a young voter my first presidential election I got to vote in was in ’08. I didn’t support Obama, but when he got nominated, I wanted to believe in him. I wanted to think, “Maybe it’s not gonna be so bad. Maybe everyone’s kind of making too big a deal out of it.” Way wrong. Today sent me over the edge when I heard ’em doing this joint press conference with the UK prime minister —

RUSH: Yeah?

CALLER: — and they talked about how successful they had been in quelling the Taliban, whilst his administration is sitting down at a table under a banner of truce with the leaders of the Taliban to negotiate the surrender of US prisoners. I can’t believe it! How is no one in the mainstream media making a big deal of this? Am I making too big a deal of this?

RUSH: No.

CALLER: What’s going on here?

RUSH: The mainstream media would not make a big deal of it. This is the kind of pacifism the mainstream media celebrates, praises. This is a new courageous leadership this country needs. This country needs leadership willing to acknowledge our own atrocities, willing to own up to our own evil and fix it.

CALLER: Where I come from, it doesn’t really take that much courage to sit down and wave the white flag. That’s just me.

RUSH: Yeah, well, in the world of Obama and the mainstream media, this is brave, it’s courageous, and it’s gutsy. We finally have a president who is willing to admit to the world our atrocities, our unfairness, and how we’ve overstepped and how it’s time that we were called on the carpet for it. This, to them… It may not be to you, but to them, to the media, to the American left: This is guts; this is courage. The courage to criticize your own country, publicly like this. That’s exactly what’s called for.
