RUSH: We’ve got Loretta Lynch — and the sound bite is coming up — Loretta Lynch. The attorney general promising to prosecute anyone who criticizes Islam. Anybody who criticizes the religion of peace will be called an Islamophobe, and she has threatened prosecution. Can you imagine the attorney general the United States threatening to prosecute anybody for criticizing Christianity, folks?

The people of this country have been bullied into shutting up about everything. The Republican Party has been bullied into silence and shutting up about Obama and the Democrat Party for fear of being called racists, and then that same Republican Party wonders why people are flocking to Donald Trump, who is not afraid to criticize the things that are destroying and damaging the country? The Republican Party refuses to criticize the things and the people that are inflicting great damage on this country and its future, and they wonder why people are abandoning them.

They’ve allowed themselves to be bullied into silence on just about everything for fear of being called racists or bigots. “Loretta Lynch Urges Muslim Parents to Contact Feds if Their Children Are Bullied.” Has Loretta Lynch urged the Christian parents of America to contact her if their children are bullied? Of course it’s a rhetorical question. “Speaking to a Muslim advocacy group on Thursday, Attorney General Loretta Lynch urged the parents of Muslim parents to contact the Justice Department and the Department of Education if their children are bullied at school.”

Don’t bother with the principal! You know, education’s a local thing. But now all of a sudden, if your child is bullied and you are a Muslim, you are to call the Department of Justice in Washington and ask for the attorney general. ‘Other areas in which we are seeing growing areas of concern … specifically involve our children, and the issues of bullying and the schools,’ Lynch said during a question-and-answer session at an event hosted by Muslim Advocates, a civil rights organization.

“‘We saw [bullying] a lot in the New York area, unfortunately, where there would be a backlash against the Muslim community in general,’ added Lynch… To address what she said is a growing problem of bullying of Muslim kids, Lynch urged parents to contact the federal government. ‘If you are aware of situations where children are involved, please contact the Department of Justice and the Department of Education,’ Lynch said. ‘We can provide guidance, we can have conversations.'”

Now, if you happen to be Jewish and your kids are bullied, don’t bother calling. If you happen to be Christian, if you happen to be Hindu, if you happen to be Tutsi or Hutu or whatever, don’t bother calling. If your kids are bullied, that doesn’t matter. Only Muslims are permitted to call. (interruption) Well, because Muslims are the targets of all of this unfair bullying and bias and bigotry that’s happening out there. Here is the attorney general claiming, promising to prosecute anybody who engages in anti-Muslim speech.

LYNCH: Since 9/11 we’ve had over a thousand investigations into acts of anti-Muslim hatred, including rhetoric and bigoted actions, with over 45 prosecutions arising out of that. I think, sadly, that number is going to continue. I think it’s important, however, that as we, again, talk about the importance of free speech, we make it clear that actions predicated on violent talk are not America. They are not who we are, they’re not what we do, and they will be prosecuted.

RUSH: There’s that phrase. You know, Obama loves to run around and talk about that. “It’s not who we are. It’s not what we do. That’s not in our laws.” This is incredible, folks. Look, I know. We watch the World Trade Center burn. We watch an airplane fall out of the sky in Pennsylvania, headed for Washington. We watch the Pentagon. We see the Pentagon with a hole in it after an airplane crashes into it. We see what happened in San Bernardino. We see Fort Hood. We see every one of these incidents where the perpetrator was a Muslim.

Every one of them.

And then we hear the attorney general the United States and the president of the United States say, “Make any criticism of Muslims, and we are coming after you. We are gonna prosecute you. We are gonna deny you your First Amendment rights because we are not tolerating that. That’s not who we are.” This would… I don’t know. What’s the difference in this and the government criticizing anybody that went after John Gotti as anti-Italian, and saying, “We’re not gonna put up with it”? It’s absurd, folks. It’s literally absurd.

I mean, this is so obvious what’s happening here. And when the highest levels of our government make it out to be something else, this is what causes… People can’t process this without coming up with some of the most cockamamie conspiracy theories in the world, ’cause this doesn’t make any sense. We are coddling the perps. We are going out of our way to target victims and potential victims. It is indeed mind-boggling.
