RUSH: Obama, he didn’t do the keynote last night to Planned Parenthood, but he did show up and make a speech, and his comments were the first to Planned Parenthood by a sitting president. And he lauded ’em. He praised their nearly 100 years of service to women. This makes me ill, by the way. That a president of the United States shows up at an abortion factory, essentially, and praises their work. You know what else he said? He said the opponents of abortion want to return to the 1950s.

Yep, that’s right. Opponents of abortion, just a bunch of old-fashioned fuddy-duddies. They can’t modernize. They’re not hip. They’re not cool. They’re not with it. They want to go back to Beaver Cleaver, Donna Reed, My Three Sons. They want to go back to the days in America that really weren’t real. America never was Donna Reed. America never was Beaver Cleaver in Leave It To Beaver. America never was My Three Sons. That was always fake and phony because back then, America was still racist and devoted to slavery and so forth. There hadn’t been any civil rights legislation. So the fifties, oh, man, that’s one of the worst eras of the United States. If Margaret Sanger had had her way, there’s a chance Barack Obama would not have been born, and she’s the founder Planned Parenthood.

But a sitting president goes and shows up, in the midst of the Kermit Gosnell trial to boot, and praises an abortion factory. He said, “When politicians try to turn Planned Parenthood into a punching bag, they’re not just talking about you. They’re talking about the millions of women who you serve.” Well, you know the drill on this. There’s nothing I can say you haven’t said or thought yourself about this. Planned Parenthood will not condemn Kermit Gosnell. Some Planned Parenthood head honcho would not condemn it. They can’t afford to. Planned Parenthood cannot afford to condemn any abortion, after birth, partial birth, they can’t condemn any. They can’t take action in one way, one syllable, one word, they can’t oppose any type of abortion or they destroy their own purpose.

To Planned Parenthood, every abortion is good, every pregnancy is a potential disease, every pregnancy is the result of male domination. Every abortion equals female freedom and emancipation. Every abortion equals women saying, “Screw you.” Barack Obama, who, as a senator in Illinois, actively, maybe more than any other legislation, supported the idea that a baby surviving a botched abortion should go ahead and be killed, because that was the original intention of the mother. And when we’re talking about the original intention of abortion, we should always be loyal to it. Now, the original intention of the Constitution, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no. The Constitution’s a living, breathing document. The female body is not.

If the original intent is abortion. If the abortion doctor messes up, fine, bring another doctor in and complete the job. Obama actively supported such legislation. Kermit Gosnell. Now, it’s one thing to go to Planned Parenthood and sing their praises. It’s another thing to impugn people dedicated to saving lives. It’s another thing to impugn people dedicated to saving the lives of women. How perverted is it that people who are dedicated to saving the lives of women are said to be engaging in a War on Women? That’s how cockeyed and out of kilter our culture is today.

“Obama asserted that ‘an assault on women’s rights’ is underway across the country, with bills being introduced in nearly every state legislature to limit or ban abortion or restrict access to birth control.” That isn’t true. There is no restriction for access to birth control. Totally made up, totally manufactured by him and his party. He said, “The fact is, after decades of progress –” I am sickened by how people on the left define progress. Progress, a million abortions a year? Progress? “After decades of progress,” he said, “there’s still those who want to turn back the clock to policies more suited to the 1950s than the 21st Century. And they’ve been involved in an orchestrated and historic effort to roll back basic rights when it comes to women’s health.”

I’m gonna tell you something. This is more than just remaining loyal to a Democrat issue. Showing up and saying these things to the people at Planned Parenthood, that’s more than just making sure that the pro-choice money keeps rolling in. There’s more to it here than just being loyal to this constituency. There is an activism here. It’s a heartlessness, I guess. “Obama says he fought for his health care law to ensure individuals have the right to make their own medical choices.” What an absolute crock. People are losing choices in their health care left and right. The Democrat Party is running as far away from Obamacare as they can.

The Republican Party would be making a huge mistake to help them fix this. The Democrats are realizing nobody can afford this damn thing, and they want to make changes in it. The Republicans ought to say, “Nope, we’re not helping you. This is your bill. We had nothing to do with passing this bill. We had nothing to do with voting for Obamacare. It’s an absolute mess, and you own it, and the only thing we’re gonna do is help you repeal it.” The Republicans ought not lift a finger to help the Democrats out here. The Democrats, remember we had the story in The Politico on Wednesday, that they wanted to carve out exemptions for members of Congress, the Senate and their aides. Well, all hell eventually did break on that, and now the Democrats are running away from that, saying, “No, no, no, no, that’s not what we ever intended.”

A couple of pathological liars have gotten in the game here, Pelosi and Reid, and they’re talking about, “No, no, no, no, that’s not what we ever intended.” Of course that’s exactly what you intended. “Obama encouraged those gathered to continue fighting for abortion rights. ‘You’ve also got a president who is going to be right there with you, fighting every step of the way.'” We can’t afford to go back to the fifties in this country. Of course, that’s this mythical reference to the back alley stuff going on. At any rate, it sickens me, folks. I’m sorry. Here we are in the midst of the Gosnell trial and everybody knowing what an absolute hell house that guy was running. Planned Parenthood won’t condemn it. Here’s Obama now praising them to the hilt. I don’t know. Everything’s upside down.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: President Obama this morning at the Planned Parenthood gala, a gala, they call it. Oh, yeah, it’s a gala, celebration, Planned Parenthood. What are they celebrating at Planned Parenthood? “Mr. Limbaugh, they are celebrating women’s freedom and women’s liberation and women’s freedom of choice and women’s rights.” Is that really what they’re celebrating at Planned Parenthood? Really? That’s what it is? That’s threatened? Women’s liberation, women’s freedom of choice, all that’s threatened in America today? We’ve got three sound bites. I want to play the last one first. I want you to listen. I have no words for this. No words.

OBAMA: Planned Parenthood is not going anywhere. It’s not going anywhere today. It’s not going anywhere tomorrow. (applause) As long as we’ve got a fight to make sure women have access to quality affordable health care, and as long as we’ve got to fight to protect a woman’s right to make her own choices about her own health, I want you to know that you’ve also got a president who’s gonna be right there with you fighting every step of the way. (cheers and applause) Thank you, Planned Parenthood. God bless you. God bless America. Thank you. (cheers and applause)

RUSH: “God bless you.” I have no words. And I think I’m right about this. The AP says — I think they’re right — that Obama’s the first sitting president to show up and address them. Not even Clinton. And Planned Parenthood would have been a gold mine for Slick Willie. Think of all the action he coulda picked up there. But not even he went there. “God bless you.” (sniffle) Sniffle on purpose. There you have it. Our president, “God bless you,” Planned Parenthood.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I have a question, ladies and gentlemen. What happened to the Barack Obama of last week? Last week Barack Obama talking about what happened in Boston said, “If we can save just one child. If we can save just one child,” and today Obama goes and celebrates an abortion factory and closes by saying “God bless you” to Planned Parenthood.
