RUSH: You remember all the trouble I got in… Well, not trouble. You remember the conniption fit that the left had when I said that 12 Years a Slave was gonna win no matter what, it didn’t matter if it didn’t win any other award, it was gonna win best picture because it had the word “slave” in it. That’s all you had to know. It was going to be the winner. And they just had a fit.

“That’s racist! It’s typical Limbaugh,” and here we have it in the LA Times, the newspaper of record for the Hollywood left: “Oscars: 12 Years a Slave Puts Spotlight on Hollywood’s Approach to Race — From the ad campaign for the film to a joke by host Ellen DeGeneres, issues of racial sensitivity and righting historical wrongs surround the picture. … All the same, two Oscar voters privately admitted that they didn’t see 12 Years a Slave, thinking it would be upsetting” to them, personally.

It would be painful and upsetting to watch. They didn’t watch it. But these two — and if there are two of them, there are gonna be more than two. If two admit it, you know there’s more than two. These two said to the LA Times they voted for 12 Years a Slave “anyway because, given the film’s social relevance, they felt obligated to do so.” Folks, the evidence is in. Don’t doubt me when I explain to you what’s going to happen with leftists, Democrats, why they do what they do, why they’re gonna do what they’re gonna do.
