While Scott shared the details of his dilemma, the predictability of the problem became very clear. I knew exactly what road he was headed down and which potholes he had yet to encounter. I offered to conduct intervention in an effort to try save his wife, as I have for others in this man?s circumstance. Every person counts in this quest, my friends. We’re going to pursue this with the dual purpose of saving a marriage and saving a member of our own team.
This call prompted another one from a woman in New Mexico who wanted to share a story about how she was welcomed to conservatism with a big embrace by a complete stranger. Her story reminded me of the famous Dan?s Bake Sale in Fort Collins, Colorado. It?s a great story, folks, and an excellent example of what happens when members of this audience get together.
