David Kay’s outfit has already found massive evidence of a huge system of clandestine laboratories, workings by scientists, plans to develop long-range ballistic missiles, and the like. David Kay did allude to this, and we had a couple senators go over there and look at this and they came back and they said they saw some evidence and it looks like we found something. Nobody has said a word since then. It’s as if we got the news out, but the Democrats didn’t want to hear it so they ignored it. Now all of a sudden Tony Blair has put it back out there again within a couple days of the capture of Saddam Hussein. All the Democrats are saying, “Well, we don’t have any weapons of mass destruction. Well, we don’t have Osama! Well, it isn’t any big deal because he couldn’t have been running the insurgency. Did you see where he was? This isn’t any big find.”
As the Democrats engage in their usual patriotism and support for America, this kind of information is best kept for the next State of the Union address, there’s no question about it. But it will not be aired for the first time in the next State of the Union address, it will have been reported at least twice. Yet, when the time comes the Democrats are still going to act shocked and awed at hearing this evidence put forward.
