Arnold Pumps Up Crowd in Ohio

by Rush Limbaugh - Nov 3,2008

RUSH: Arnold Schwarzenegger ventured to Columbus, Ohio, last Friday and delivered a campaign stump appearance for Senator McCain. The media largely ignored it. We have one, two, three, four sound bites of the Governator’s speech. The first one here is the one that the media used. They gave this one a little airplay, not a whole lot.

SCHWARZENEGGER: I want to invite Senator Obama (cheers) because he needs to do something… (cheers) He needs to do something about those skinny legs! (laughter and cheers) We’re gonna make him do some squats and then we’re going to go give him some bicep curls to beef up the scrawny little arms. (cheers) But if we only could do something about putting some meat on his ideas.

RUSH: Arnold Schwarzenegger in Columbus Ohio on Friday. That’s the bite the media played. The next three, you probably haven’t heard.

SCHWARZENEGGER: John McCain has served this country longer in the POW camp than his opponent has served in the United States Senate! Ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, I only play an action hero in the movies, but John McCain is a real action hero! (cheers)

AUDIENCE: John M’Cain! John M’Cain! John M’Cain! John M’Cain!

RUSH: Now, here is Arnold again (this is part of his campaign, by the way, for governor) explaining why it is that he left Europe.

SCHWARZENEGGER: Ohio cannot afford, America cannot afford the economic proposals of Senator Obama.

AUDIENCE: Noooooo!

RUSH: I tell you something, I left Europe four decades ago because socialism has killed opportunities there, and many… and many, many, many entrepreneurs and business leaders all left and have taken jobs with them. And I tell you, in recent years Europe has realized its mistakes and begun rolling back some of its spread-the-wealth policies. And I tell you something. I tell you something. I am so fortunate that I have the chance of coming to the greatest country in the world, the United States of America. (wild cheering)

RUSH: And now I run of state of California, which is asking for a federal bailout. Here’s the final Arnold.

SCHWARZENEGGER: The media doesn’t think that John can win, and it is true… It is true… It is true that Senator Obama has raised massive amounts of campaign funds, more than anyone in history. If Senator Obama had taken all of that money he spent on TV ads, he could have bailed out all the banks, paid off everyone’s mortgages, and saved taxpayers a ton of money! (cheering) I think there will be a backlash against all of this lopsided spending. I think Americans on Tuesday will say, ‘Our democracy is not for sale!’ (cheers) Let me tell you something. When John was a POW, his Vietnamese captors, they didn’t think that he would survive or that he would live. But he has proven them wrong, and on Election Day, he will prove the media wrong! (cheers)

RUSH: Right on, right on, right on. I disagree with Arnold Schwarzenegger about one thing. He said Obama needs to go out there and do some squats. He’s already done squat! Barack Obama has done diddly-squat! One-hundred-forty-three days in the US Senate. How many ‘present’ votes in the Illinois Senate? Two books with made-up characters. He hasn’t done squat! He didn’t even buy his own house. He needed a mobster’s assistance. That man, Tony Rezko. He hasn’t done diddly-squat. It’s amazing.
