RUSH: All right, folks, get this. This is from the UK Times Online: ‘Copenhagen Stalls Decision on Catastrophic Climate Change for Six Years.’ Algore said today the arctic ice cap will melt in five. ‘The key decision on preventing catastrophic climate change will be delayed for up to six years if the Copenhagen summit delivers a compromise deal which ignores advice from the UN’s science body. World leaders will not agree on the emissions cuts recommended by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and are likely instead to commit to reviewing them in 2015 or 2016. The delay will anger developing countries who, scientists say, will face the worst effects of climate change despite having contributed relatively little of the man-made greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. A draft text published by the UN says that there should be a review in 2016, which could result in an ‘update of the long-term global goal for emissions reductions as well as of the adequacy of commitments and actions.”
Now, while this may sound like these people are losing, like they’re out of control, they’re disorganized, because they have stalled the decision on implementing emissions restrictions on climate change for six years, that doesn’t mean they’re going to stop in this country trying to pass cap and trade. So they will do exactly what’s going on in health care. They’ll get the redistribution first. They’ll start raising taxes, but they will not implement the actual restrictions on people for six years, something that will actually supposedly address the supposed problem. So while it says here: ‘Copenhagen Stalls Decision on Catastrophic Climate Change for Six Years,’ the real message to take out of this, ‘Wait a minute, how can you delay it six years? You’re telling us we don’t have six years. You’re telling us we’re going to hell in a handbasket. You’re telling us disaster is imminent, and you’re going to delay this six years?’
They are in disarray. China has walked out, India has walked out, a couple of other developing nations have boycotted the climate talks, and the poor countries walked out. Now, the poor countries have come back in since having been promised that it wouldn’t be as bad for them as it was originally going to be. But the point is they’re unraveling. Once they put what they are out in the open and people can see it, people reject it. That is what is happening. That is why we gotta keep the heat on, be it health care, be it tax and crap, tax and pay, whatever it is, climate change, whatever it is the liberals are advancing, it is a disaster and it’s got to be stopped. We don’t need to have an alternative proposal for everything. That’s accepting their premise. We don’t have to have our own plan to save the planet. Why can’t our plan be, ‘Hey, the planet is not in danger. We’re doing a great job of cleaning up our messes. Capitalism and freedom lead to the cleanest places on earth. Leave it alone.’

RUSH: No, no, no, no. There’s no sacrifice. I appreciate that, but I’m no martyr here. I really just had to explain why I’m stuttering through words here today because that angers me. I am a highly trained broadcast specialist, and to goof up on the basics is embarrassing to me and I just wanted to explain it.
CALLER: Well, you’re operating on a, A-to-the-fourth-power instead of A-to-the-fifth-power in normal things.
RUSH: (chuckling) Thank you.
CALLER: So forgive yourself.
RUSH: Thank you very much.
CALLER: You are right. But you also are right about this Copenhagen not being about saving the planet. It’s been trying to prop up and save Gore’s trillion-dollar carbon trade business. Because yesterday on Fox News Sunday, Representative Markey — you know, the one who sponsored the cap and trade in the House?
RUSH: Right, Ed Markey.
CALLER: Yes. And he said that the $10 billion that Obama’s going to promise them is going to be used to save the rain forests in all these underdeveloped countries. Well, they have done that with TARP money and bailout money to GM Motors already. The Mother Jones magazine reported that billions of bailout money was used to purchase 50,000 acres of a Brazilian forest and they’re going to be putting that on the lucrative carbon trade business, the trees that have sequestered carbon in it, and they’re going to sell it on the Chicago climate future exchange — which, by the way, is started and owned by Goldman Sachs — and that’s what they’re going to be doing with this $10 billion is just setting up their carbon trade business.
RUSH: Exactly. I don’t know about saving the rain forest with the money. If Mother Jones said that, then Mother Jones said it. But we know that Copenhagen is not about climate change. It’s not even about the weather. It’s not about saving the planet. It’s another liberal ruse to redistribute wealth from rich nations to poor. It’s really about destroying the United States. Folks, we’re a great nation at great risk in a dangerous world. We always have been, as the world’s lone superpower. We are envied and despised, and we are blazed and targeted. That’s always been the case and we’ve always had leaders who know this. We’ve always had leaders who knew the job was to protect and defend the United States. What we face now is the same kind of attitude about this country from the people who now lead it. That is genuinely scary. The threat is also internal now. So Copenhagen is all about coming up with plans to separate the United States from its money and other rich, relatively rich western nations and societies. It’s been in the works for a long time. Copenhagen is just the latest iteration of the effort. And I do believe it’s about some people acquiring vast wealth in the carbon trading scheme by planting trees. It’s a total hoax from start to finish, and it always is about enriching somebody.
