Say, folks, do you want to have a little fun? Next time you hear President Obama giving his anti-insurance company stump speech, just change the vilification target. Let me give you an example.

In Philadelphia on Monday, President Obama said: “We can’t have a system that works better for the insurance companies than it does for the American people.” The status quo is “unsustainable.”

Well, okay. Let’s turn that around: “We can’t have a system that works better for Democrat blowhard politicians than it does for the American people… the status quo is simply unsustainable.” Or, try this variation: “We can’t have a system that works better for the unions bosses, trial lawyers, environmentalist-wackos, and other big Democrat party donors than it does for the American people; it’ssimply unsustainable.”

Another example. Obama said this of insurance companies: “They will keep on doing this for as long as they can get away with it. So how much higher do premiums have to rise before we do something about it?” Well, turnthat around: “The Obama Democrats will keep on doing this for as long as they can get away with it. So, how much higher do taxes have to go,how much higher does deficit spending have to go,and how much higher does our national debt have to risebefore we do something about it?”

You can sum this up with the immortal words of that bald chick, Sinead O’Connor: “Fightthereal enemy!” And it’s not the insurance companies — and it isn’t us.
