Eric Cantor Calls Out Democrats

by Rush Limbaugh - Mar 25,2010

RUSH: Eric Cantor this afternoon on Capitol Hill held a press conference. Here’s what he said.

CANTOR: (camera shutters throughout) I’ve received threats since I assumed elected office, not only because of my position but also because I’m Jewish. I’ve never blamed anyone in this body for that. Period. Any suggestion that a leader in this body would incite threats or acts against other members is akin to saying that I would endanger myself, my wife, or my children. Just recently I have been directly threatened. A bullet was shot through the window of my campaign office in Richmond this week, and I’ve received threatening e-mails. But I will not release them because I believe such actions will only encourage more to be sent.

RUSH: Exactly right! Exactly right. The difference is the Democrats are making up most of their stories for the express purpose of creating even more of this. Remember, Obama and the Democrats need chaos, unrest to keep you distracted as best they can from what they’re doing to keep you unsettled. General chaos is one of their ingredients in the recipe they’re cooking up for the country. Do you remember Alec Baldwin, ladies and gentlemen, saying, ‘If we were in other countries, we would all be all right now, all of us together would go down to Washington, we would stone Henry Hyde to death.’ Do you remember Alec Baldwin saying that? If we lived in a different country we could stone Henry Hyde, and I have to sit here and listen to members of the Democrat media talk about all this inciting-hate rhetoric that’s coming from tea partiers when they can’t find any, when they have to make up the rhetoric? Eric Cantor went on during his press conference and said this.

CANTOR: It is reckless to use these incidents as media vehicles for political gain. That is why I have deep concerns that some — D-triple-C Chair Chris Van Hollen and DNC Chairman Tim Kaine in particular — are dangerously fanning the flames by suggesting that these incidents be used as a political weapon. Enough is enough. It has to stop.

RUSH: That’s Eric Cantor, again, nailing it. The Democrats are using these incidents for political purposes, for political gain.
