Obama Regime Seeks to Create Permanent American Underclass

by Rush Limbaugh - Apr 5,2010

RUSH: James in Las Vegas, glad you called, sir. Great to have you on the EIB Network.

CALLER: Hi, Rush. Government assisted unemployed Vegas dittos to you.

RUSH: Thank you, sir.

CALLER: I’m a Democrat like my father before me. But I was so embarrassed after the election that I thought of registering as a independent or even a Republican, but after seeing what this administration has done over the first six months I was scared in fear of reprisal so I just wanted to comment on your comment about it being a regime, it’s pretty crazy out there. But I don’t think Obama is ruining the economy on purpose. I think he feels that our economy is consumer based and it doesn’t matter if he’s redistributing the wealth, he’s creating more consumers from poor people, you know, poor people have more money to spend and those poor people usually buy from small businesses and that will help small business and keep corporations stagnant.

RUSH: Well, what is that? If you keep a corporation stagnant, if you make the small business rely on the poor — I mean nobody ever got a job from the poor, nobody ever made a profit off of the poor by definition, and that’s not to rip the poor, I think you’ve made your own case the opposite. You have just given us another of many explanations of how he is doing it on purpose. I mean if you’re going to say that his express purpose is to redistribute wealth, to stagnate corporations, and to build up small businesses by giving the poor more money, if you’re going to stagnate anything you’re doing it on purpose. What he needs to do out there, James, and you’ve gotta believe this — don’t doubt me — what’s going on is the creation of a permanent underclass that has no upward mobility whatsoever. That way they never leave the throes of the Democrat Party, never.

Chris, Germantown, New York, great to have you on the program, sir. Hello.

CALLER: Mega dittos, Rush.

RUSH: Thank you.

CALLER: Longtime listener, first-time caller. Get right to the point, I’m fed up with this whole health care bit. You know, I’ve been working pretty much my whole life, and I was raised under the belief that the harder I work, the more I get out of it. And it just doesn’t seem that way. You know, me and my wife invest in her own company, which she started from the ground up, and they want to continue to take more money from us to give it to people that don’t work, who don’t want to try to excel, who don’t want to actually get up and go out and do something.

RUSH: Now, why? That’s very interesting point, probably very true. Why?

CALLER: Why don’t they want to do it?

RUSH: Why do they want to do it, why do they want to take money from people who work and give it to people who don’t?

CALLER: Because they’re the ones making the money. Without the common worker actually going out to make the dollar, there’s no way for them to get that money. And they want to keep me and people like me to being able to go out and make the money and become our own entrepreneurs —

RUSH: Yeah, but why?

CALLER: So we can be dependent on them.

RUSH: Well, not so much you, although it would be helpful, but if you’re going to give people money for doing nothing for it, they’re going to love you forever, and they’re never going to feel the need to go work themselves, i.e., you have the creation of a permanent underclass.

CALLER: Absolutely, permanent voters.

RUSH: You have just described what Obama is doing: returning the nation’s wealth to its, quote, unquote, rightful owners. Obama thinks this country is a crime. Obama thinks this country is a walking, living crime, the way it’s treated poor people, minorities and so forth, and he wants to get even, he wants to get even with all those people that have engaged in this theft, discrimination, racism and be and so forth, he also wants to create a permanent underclass for the express purpose of making sure he’s never out of office or the regime’s party is never out of office. Don’t doubt me on this, folks. Don’t doubt me. It’s all about him; it’s all about the regime; it’s all about their party; it’s all about their future.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

Folks, our country, our economy — don’t doubt me on this — our economy is based on capitalism. Obama’s stated reason for being inspired by Reverend Wright was his speech, ‘White man’s greed runs a world in need.’ That inspired Obama, ‘White man’s greed runs a world in need.’ That’s the real American dream. Working hard you will get ahead. But you can’t have that if you want to create a permanent underclass. You simply cannot have people getting ahead. It destroys the whole notion of a permanent underclass. By the way, the Rasmussen people have done a poll on major issues. Forty-eight percent of voters say that the average tea party member is closer to their views than is Obama. How about that? ‘Forty-eight percent of voters say the average tea party member is closer to their views than President Barack Obama.’ We are nowhere near surrendering this country, Snerdley, nowhere near surrendering it in any way, shape, manner, or form.
