CALLER: Hey, Rush, mega dittos. It’s a great pleasure to be talking with you and I just wanted to let you know — I don’t know if you’re aware of it, but — one member of the Hillsdale College football did make it into the NFL. I believe in the second or third round.
RUSH: Yeah, Jared Veldheer, an offensive lineman. The Oakland Raiders picked him. I think it’s the first time in 30 years. Yeah, that was a goof-up, and it was a goof-up on the part of the staff but I take the hit for it.
CALLER: No problem. The reason it was an issue for me is I’ve got three young sons and the youngest is freshman in high school. I put him in private school because I’m a little tired of all the political correctness and problems with our society, and I investigated Hillsdale’s website based on your recommendations. They’ve got an impressive history of teaching kids about our Constitution. They sent a lot of their students into military service, and they’ve got an impressive program. I really feel that we need to take a look, strongly, at what they put out because that information is good, solid information. And everything you discussed on the program this morning is a problem in our society because they don’t know the foundations, and we need those back.
RUSH: Exactly.
CALLER: We need our kids to understand.
RUSH: In the example of immigration, we know we are the beacon of freedom in the world. We want people to immigrate here who want to be free! We want them to immigrate here who want to assimilate and become Americans. We love America. We love the country. We’re proud of it. We want like-minded people here. But the Democrat Party and the American left are using this purely as a beneficial political image without one care in the world for the humanity of the people they are attempting to sponsor or with the results that happen with this kind of influx of people who are illegal and are not interested in assimilating. Nobody is opposed to immigration. Not one person’s opposed to legal immigration, but this is not legal. You know, I’m going back through this list of people who Obama says that he’s going to reach out to: Young people, African-Americans, Latinos, women. He didn’t mention Native Americans. He didn’t mention white people — old, young, or female. He didn’t mention Jewish people. He didn’t mention Asians. He didn’t mention Kenyans. Well, yes, he did: African-Americans. I take it back. So here’s a guy who’s perfectly willing (along with his party) to divide this country, to create the chaos and benefit from it, which is all this most recent push for amnesty is. That’s all it is, folks. It’s designed to benefit him and his party. Whatever havoc it wreaks on our culture and society or states, he could not care less.
