My friends, the reality of what we’re stuck with as president for the next few years comes crashing through when you hear things like this:

During an interview with an Israeli TV station, Obama was asked about the “anxiety” some Israelis have about him. Our august leader said: “Some of it may just be the fact that my middle name is Hussein, and that creates suspicion.”

He then resorted to the some-of-my-best-friends-are-Jewish defense, telling the reporter: “Ironically, I’ve got a chief of staff named Rahm Israel Emanuel.” Obama then claimed thathis “closeness to the Jewish American community” was “likely what propelled him” into the US Senate.

So where to begin with all this?First off, Obama was “propelled” into the US Senate by eliminating the opposition using Chicago-style thug politics –you can look it up.Then, after staying in the Senate for 140-odd working days, he ran for president, won against a marginal opponent, and became our least-qualified, least-experienced president in history.

That’s part of why Israelis have “anxiety.” Obama’s hostility toward Benjamin Netanyahu was on display even before the Netanyahuwas elected; it continues to this day, despite their recent “feel-good” meeting.

Israeli anxiety is based on policy, not middle names. Obama has shown his contempt for Israel’s unique security concerns, and treated Israel as an enemy instead of a valued ally. And Israelis, unlike Democrats here, don’t fall for Obama smooth talk. They can’t afford to. And neither can we, folks, but it’s a little late for that, anyway, isn’t it?
