RUSH: Ernie in Harlem. Is this Harlem, New York? Yes.
CALLER: Hi, Mr. Limbaugh.
RUSH: Hi, Ernie.
CALLER: Thanks for taking my call.
RUSH: Thank you.
CALLER: I listened to the lady from Birmingham —
RUSH: Yeah.
I listened to Pat Buchanan on Hannity, telling Hannity everybody else is good except Sarah Palin. Each time it’s like the Republicans are afraid of her. They’re worse than the Democrats, and no one is seeing that (unintelligible) I’m surprised. Sarah Palin is the only person who took on the establishment in Alaska. She did, okay, right from the bottom all the way to the top. No one is mentioning that. She’s a true conservative. You don’t have to like everything about her, but I’m telling you, I listen to these Republicans, Rush, because the Tea Party, she was out there from the get-go, front and center, and when she resigned as governor in Alaska, every Republican was just bashing her, bashing her. And, all of a sudden, watch them, Rush, they’re running behind her. (unintelligible) She’s good to galvanize the base, but she’s not good to run for president, okay?
RUSH: Ernie, I hear you, man.
CALLER: We’re not going to have that!
RUSH: You’re basically talking about ruling class Republicans who don’t want —
CALLER: Yes. Yes. Elites. Elites.
RUSH: Practically everybody who voted for McCain did so because of Palin.
CALLER: Absolutely —
RUSH: I knew you’d agree with that.
CALLER: — Sarah Palin. Okay?
RUSH: And Republicans are sick and tired of seeing Sarah Palin destroyed. They know the Democrats are going to do it, but they don’t like seeing Republicans join in on that.
CALLER: And I’m listening, Mr. Limbaugh. I’ve listened to Sean Hannity interview Pat Buchanan, every one of these guys, you keep hearing them. She’s out there doing what they’re not doing, being a true conservatives —
RUSH: Wait a second.
CALLER: — for smaller government and less taxes.
RUSH: Hold it a second.
CALLER: And they are afraid to bring that out there.
RUSH: Ernie?
CALLER: Yes?
RUSH: Where did Hannity interview Pat Buchanan?
CALLER: He interviewed him on his radio program —
RUSH: Oh. I was going to say, Buchanan’s on PMSNBC. I can’t imagine —
CALLER: Yes.
RUSH: — Buchanan going on Fox. On Hannity’s radio show. Oh, oh, okay.
CALLER: Yes. It was his radio show, and after watching these Republicans, even here in New York we are proud to vote for Paladino. He’s not perfect but we are proud to vote for the man, okay?
RUSH: All right.
CALLER: We’re going to get rid of him in New York.
RUSH: Hey, folks, I got a question for you. Does Ernie sound apathetic here? Ernie, you’re not apathetic.
CALLER: No, I’m not.
