I LOVE EL RUSHBO and would NEVER leave him!
I LOVE OUR HOST SO MUCH…And want Rush to get better fast…so he can
come back HOME to his EIB Family who ALL LOVES AND ADORES him SO DEARLY!
You can count on me being here for him. I wouldn’t think of leaving him
now. Rush has been here for us all these years working hard to bring us
THE MOST AWESOME program found on earth. It is time we do
something for Our Rush…And I for one, will be here throughout his
absence…until he can come back to us.

Dear Rush,
You once said, “We are defined by the choices we make” and you have made a choice to reveal this issue and to take your lumps while you deal with it. Not many people would have the courage to do that, and you will come out of this experience stronger, and with a greater depth of character for it. God’s blessings to you and your family.
Sincerely,
Ralph
Rush,
The libs won’t stand a chance when you untie the other half of your brain from behind your back. You are on loan from God to us. GOD bless and strengthen you!

Dear Mr. Limbaugh,
You have repeatedly stated you will stay on the air on your radio show until all of America agrees with you.I trust you will return to your program, doing what you were meant to do, and fulfill your goal of striving for all of America to agree with you. Why do I believe this? To quote a great American, “A tiger is a tiger”.
You’re in our prayers,
Cherie
Black Forest, CO
Rush,
My family and I support you 100%. We are wishing you good luck for good health and are praying that you come back behind the golden EIB microphone real soon. You are in our prayers.

Best of luck to you Rush. My wife and I support you 100%, and look forward to you being back on the air. Afternoons aren’t the same without you.
Hurry back,
Jim (Rush 24/7 member)
Lakeville, MN
Dear Rush,
I started listening to you about two years ago when I turned 18. I didn’t care about politics or anything like that before I could vote. They didn’t want me, I didn’t want them, as I like to tell people. But during the two years that I have listened to you I have become a major league dittohead. I got your book and videos. You?re going to be better than ever when you come out. You?re a personal responsibility kinda guy.

Maha Rushie is in my famalies prayers.
If it were not for Rushes voice I don’t know if I would have made it thru 9-11 with my sanity intact. He was there for us, and we are there for him. God Bless and a special thank you to all the guest hosts who are keeping the Excellence in EIB.

MEGA DITTOS to EL RUSHBO, a Work in Progress!
There is not one inch of difference in the esteem we hold for you, Rush!
We encourage you to get it done, and return to the job you do so well.
I am confident that the God Who brought you here will carry you through.
You can do this. See you back when the time is right! We need you!

Dear Rush,
My mom is 80, my husband and I are 60, my sister is 50, my brothers are in their 40’s, my children are in their 30’s and my nieces are in their 20’s. We all love you and listen faithfully, as our schedules allow, and if we miss you one day we call each other to find out the truth of what is happening in the world. Not a family gathering goes by without your name coming up for one reason or another.
Love from the entire family,

I believe those of us on the right (i.e., conservatives) FLOCK to Rush
in the same way a lost soul in the desert CRAWLS toward a shimmering
oasis: the promise of a refreshing drink after a debilitating journey
across a sea of sand. You don’t need me to finish painting this
metaphor, I’m sure.
Harold
Rush,
Your honesty about your problem was great and appreciated by your fans. You did not say, ?I did not pop that pill!? Our guess is that by the time you return, you will have even many more fans than before (thanks to the National Enquirer!) We?re all out there standing behind you and will defend you with a vengeance. We look forward with great enthusiasm to your return. You?ve been inspiring to us for many, many years! Your stand-ins are doing very well while you?re away and we continue to listen each day to your program.
Marilyn & Ken from Arizona
Rush,
Best wishes for a complete recovery! Addiction of any type is tough to overcome but I think you’re the person who can make it happen. I admire the way you admitted the problem and the stand you are taking. Good luck and god bless!

Hey Rush,
I pray you get this. I?m a freshman engineering student, just turned 19, and within the past year I have become your biggest fan. The reason being, you support everything I supported before I started listening to you.

Rush,
I have listened to you over the past few years. I have read both of your
books – very enlightening. I can not tell you how much I look forward to
hearing your profound wisdom everyday and can not wait for you return.
Your loyal listener,

My Dear Mr. Limbaugh,
For 26 years I have worked in a patrol car in sunny San Diego. For 15 years
I have tuned you in every chance I could get. You have kept me company on
day-shift mornings, caught me up on the truthful news of the day and given
me hope for some sanity in the world of politics. You have inspired and
informed like no one else in radio history, had history and hopefully
changed history for the better!
You are revered, and feared. I know that you know how to use the power that
you have properly. As you say so often, “Talent on loan from God!” He has a
lesson and message for you. Only the two of you know what message is and
what you are to learn from this trial. Stick with Him and keep utilizing
that talent!
We’re waiting for your return, stronger than ever. You have blessed our
lives and our Country with your skills and voice, pointing to freedom and
the American Way. Our Founding Fathers would be proud of you! You get how I
feel… If there is anything you want or need of me or my family just ask; it will
be done.
Sincerely,
Tim
SDPD
Dear Rush,
Here are some simple words from the late, great Mother Teresa:
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives
be kind anyway
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you
be honest and frank anyway
What you spend year building, someone could destroy overnight
build anyway
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow
do go anyway
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough
Give the world the best you’ve got anyway
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.
You have always been and will continue to be in our prayers.
Love, John and Carolyn

Dear Mr. Limbaugh,
As a staunch “Dittohead”, I wish you a speedy recovery. I know personally the difficulties of overcoming an addiction and I pray that you will hold strong. Thank you for all you’ve done for us “Rushies” and we all look forward to hearing you back on the air soon.
Sincerely,
Chris in Seattle
Good afternoon sir,
I have never called in to your show before, but I started listening with my father when I was about 11 years old. I’m 24 now, and I still listen every day at work. You are one of the three men in this world that I look up to, the other two are my Dad and Ronald Reagan, and I just wanted to let you know that I admire you even more now that you have admitted your addiction and you’re getting treatment.
Jim

Rush,
I am a lifelong Republican, longtime listener, and a big time baseball fan. This is life throwing you a “curveball” and you’re going to hit it out of the park. I wish all the best for you and your family.
Eric
Rush,
Throughout my 82 years of life and there were some tough times, but through it all I followed a great Greek philosophy…”.men afecis tos karatadis na sa valum kato” which translates ” don’t let the bastards get you down”. You are in my prayers DAILY. George, WWll vet
Dear Rushbo,
Though we have never met, I feel that you are my best friend. I listen to you every day and think of you often when I’m not listening. I, like so many others, admire you and have benefited immensely from your teachings be it political, motivational, or humor. From personal experience, I know that you are on a long and bumpy road. If I did it, I know you will breeze through. My thoughts and prayers are with you, as they have always been. God Bless.

Rush,
I am continuing to listen to my local Rush station, KOGO 600 in San Diego and am enjoying his guest hosts (in particular our local host Roger Hedgecock) while eagerly waiting for Rush to return.
Daniela
Rush,
I just want you to know that when I was just a teenager my father got me hooked on your radio program. I have been listening ever since. I married a wonderful man who already listened to you religiously, and your show and your viewpoints have provided us with the topics of countless conversations.
I am a strong Christian and firmly believe that God doesn’t let anything come to us that hasn’t passed through Him first and that He doesn’t give us more than we can handle. Lean on Him during this time and don’t be afraid to tell Him you need His help. God bless you and your family and know that we will all be here when you return.
Our prayers are with you,
The Wheeler family
Rush,
All our love, prayers, and appreciation are focused on you like a laser.

Rush,
My wife and I have been listening to you for 15 years. During your broadcasts the 3 radios, kitchen, living room and bedroom are on, to insure that we don’t miss anything. Anticipating your return.

Rush,
My wife, Cindy, and I have been listening to you even before WGAC AM-580 here in Augusta, Georgia started carrying your program. We could pick you up late at night on some out-of-area FM station. We have both of your books and we are also charter subscribers to the Limbaugh Letter. I still wear your ties, golf shirt and baseball cap. Yes, we’re fans.
Stay the course, Rush. And, run the good race. We need you. This country needs you. Get well soon, buddy!
Bob
Rush,
Best wishes from a loyal listener since your days at KFBK. Here’s to a speedy recovery and return the airwaves.

Dear Rush,
We love you. We are praying for you and we’re still listening!
We can’t wait for you to get back! I’m amazed to hear how many people here in Columbus, Ohio are calling our local station at 610 WTVN to tell them that they know first hand, or know a family member, who have had trouble with the same pain medication you were taking.
Terry-Lynn
Dear Rush,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you go through this agonizing month. We know you will be successful because you are a strong person. After all, you have got the better of all the liberals for 15 years, so just think of these drugs as liberals and you will have the battle won.
Sincerely,
Dan and Doreen

Greetings,
I certainly miss Rush and I will be here when he gets back but I don?t mind the pinch hitters at all, I certainly need my right-wing conspiracy fix every day. Besides, how else would a mind number robot like me get his marching orders? Consider me marching to the beat of the RWC and dittos to my three hours of instructions everyday Rush or no Rush!
Warm Regards,
Michael & Family
Hi Rush,
I’ve listened to you for 15 years. You have always been very honest and up front. Hope you are back on the radio soon.
I’m sure all the liberals are licking their chops hoping you will be taken off the air. It will never happen. You are a great American and an inspiration to the youth of this great country. Your show should be mandatory listening to all seniors before they are allowed to graduate from high school.
My best to you, your wife, and your cats.
Dan

Big Daddy,
I pray not that you’ll have an easy recovery, but that you’ll be filled with His strength and courage. Remember how He suffered. It’s not what happens to us that is important…it’s how we handle it. God Bless Rush. Get better. We’ll all be here when you get back.

Rush,
I think the best is yet to come. As for all of the media who celebrated when you stumbled. “Let he who is without fault cast the first stone”. We would all love to think that you are somehow immune to life’s trials, but when situations like these arise we must rethink and reconnect to that wise voice on the radio as a man, just like us, not just a talking head. I hope that this can be used for good. You are real Rush, we all have our demons but how many of us out there are willing to deal with them honestly in front of the whole world. You are truly a great man. Keep up the good fight and get well soon.
Joshua
Lufkin, Texas
Dear Rush,
My 12-year old son came home from school today and asked me if I had heard on the radio how you are doing. I gave him a big hug and told him that I hope he grows up to be just like you. You have been my best friend for three years now and you are right, we are family. I love you Rush. You are a role model to me, my son, and millions of others.
We will all be here for you when you return to the golden EIB mic. In the meantime, be strong, be patient and be sure that millions of good wishes and prayers are coming your way.

Dear Rush,

Sincerely yours in dittos,

Rush…
If anyone can overcome this addiction, it is you. You have provided millions of us with the positive feedback to know we were right all along, and now it is time to let us give you the same positive “vibes”. We love you and are praying for you – so much good will come from this…most important – your recovery of course!
Loyal fan,

Of coarse I am continuing to tune in to Rush’s show! I am missing Rush terribly and I feel the best support I can offer at this time is to keep listening. Though no one can replace Rush’s special blend of knowledge and charisma, all of his guest hosts meet EIB standards.
P.S. Thank you KFYI for putting Rush and Sean Hannity back to back!
Tara (Dittohead & KFYI loyalist)
Rush,
Thinking about you and praying for your speedy recovery. We miss you terribly and can’t wait for your opinion and commentary to return. Know dear friend that you are loved more than you will ever know.
Do you need us to do a bake sale to cheer you up?
Love you loads,

Rush,
I know it may sound like a platitude, but you are one of the most important people in the world today. Not just the USA, but the world. No one, no one single person has made the impact on the minds and lives of so many people as you have. Take all the time you need, Rush, but hurry up, The world is waiting!
Francis & Emily
Rush,
I pray you will make great strides toward a positive and pain free existence.
Take your time – Me and my 20 million friends will wait as long as it takes.

Dearest Rush,
Just wanted to let you know there are many, many people here in Apple Valley, Minnesota, who are “hugging you” during this time. You are [and have been] such an inspiration and tremendous voice for so many of us, I am writing now to tell you that [we] are now yours. You are in our prayers and in our hearts. God speed to you Rush – we will be here waiting with open arms [and open ears] for your return.
With respect and strength,
Michelle together with my family, friends, neighbors, my hair stylist, dentist, internist, the nice man at the gas station, my lawyer? I think you get the point!!!
Rush,
You have a large following here in Bakersfield. I will be praying for your recovery – I realize that it won’t be easy.
Sincerely,
Larry
Dear Rush,
You WILL win this battle and you have millions of listeners and the Lord in your camp. The best of wishes to you and come back soon.

Rush Limbaugh, you are a good man!
Neil Cavuto said what is in our hearts and we just send DITTOS to that. We look forward to your return and, until then, our prayers are added to the millions who are also praying. You will conquer this.

Rush,
I for one have no doubt whatsoever that our boy will return bigger, louder, and stronger than ever. Most of the true “pack” of listeners will not turn, run, gripe or hide. They will hold their heads high, stand by their man, brush away the tears they genuinely feel for this special man, and stay strong and united.
Thoughts and prayers,
Joyce

Rush:
The prayers of our staff and listeners are with you during this difficult time. We are looking forward to your speedy return to the golden EIB microphone. You are appreciated and loved by more people than you will ever realize. Our listeners have been expressing strong support for your program, as well as personal concern for your recovery.
I am one of the many small market talk show hosts that have been forever changed as a result of your program. You’ve inspired and influenced me in ways I cannot begin to articulate. I thought it appropriate to let you know how much you are missed by a legion of fans whom you will never know.
God be with you, Rush.
Greg
Sioux Falls, SD
Rush,
I had no idea how this was going to affect me. As I sit here writing you I can barely see the keyboard through the tears. On November 7, 1986 I woke up in jail with charges of possession of a controlled substance, drunk in public and battery on a police officer. I made a decision that day that this was not the path I wanted to follow. It was an easy decision but a tough road.
I heard you make your announcement on the radio last Friday and before you even asked for them I was praying for you. I know how tough these last few days have been because I’ve been there. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about it, and not a day goes by that I don’t thank God and become even stronger as a result of it. Since that dark day 16 years 11 months and 7 days ago, I have lost 3 childhood friends because they choose not to get off the train. Your decision is a tough one and those who succeed are the exceptions, not the rules. I believe in you Rush, you are and have always been an exception to the rules. This is no different. It will no doubt be the toughest time in your life. Rely on Marta and your family, they are all that REALLY matters.
I love you, God bless you and mega dittos big guy. We’ll be here whenever you?re ready.
Sincerely,
Tom, 1140 WRVA Listener
Richmond, VA

Rush,
I will listen every day to KSFO until you return. Having had drug addiction touch my extended family I understand the pain and suffering you are going through as well as your family and friends. My family’s thoughts and prayers are with you and rest assured I, like millions of “ditto heads” will be here anxiously awaiting your return to the airwaves. Until then God Bless you and thank you for all you have given to me, my family and America.

Rush,
Although this is an experience that you would rather not have, it strikes me that this is an incredible opportunity for you to set the example of how people with morals and integrity deal with adversity.
I know that you have the character, support and ability to handle your problem. You are the beacon of common sense in an otherwise crazy world. We are all praying for you and anxiously await your return.

Rush,
YOU are not alone, as I’m sure you’re aware. To be as brief as I can, I had a legitimate battle with pain. (surgery, yah-dah…yah-dah…yah-dah) I was prescribed Vicoden and Oxycotin. With 3 1/2 years of sobriety, I thought I was “immune” to addictions of any kind! It took about two months for me to start taking “more” to mask the pain. I had a painful recovery… but I over-came, with the help of the Lord, thanks to my family’s constant prayers. I have been sober for close to a year now, and my life is beautiful again.

Hi Rush,
I have an eighty-eight year old mother who has been addicted to prescription
medicine for more than the last half of her life. I’ll think of you every day, which I do anyhow, and was panic stricken to think that you wouldn’t be doing your show so I did enroll for your newsletter and 24/7 – I pray for you and your family – and also for a complete and total recovery.

Rush,
I have been listening to you since about 1985 and will keep on listening to you for as long as you are on the air. I admire your outlook on life and my prayers are with you.
Bill

Rush:
I’m a 72-year-old survivor. It takes guts to live that long and not bend convictions. It also takes guts to admit when something you’ve gotten into is wrong and even more to try and correct that problem. What you did in announcing your addiction on the radio took monumental courage. I know with that kind of conviction you will survive.
Don
Mr. Limbaugh:
I have listened to you since I was very young and feel as though you are a part of my daily life. I can’t wait until you get through this and come back to the show. Your whole ordeal has inspired me to deal with my own personal problems. I know I will face them down and rise above just as you will. Thank you for everything and everything to come.
Will
Illinois
Hi Rush,
Even though I’ll probably never meet you, I want you to know, I love you like an older brother. You have taught me so much! I’m rootin’ for you! I am a highly functional chemically dependant person, and have been so, for over thirty years. Your circumstances have led to much thinking on my part, and as a result of your leadership by example (as usual), I’ve decide that the day you return to the “golden EIB microphone”, you will not be the only one free of mind altering substances. I’m 45, so it will be the first time in 31 years for me!
You have always been an inspiration to me, educating me politically, and attitude-wise. Now you’ve inspired me during one of the most important times in my life. I’ll be beside you in spirit, and I’m confident we will both succeed, in this difficult battle.
It’s a decision, big guy! God bless you, big brother.
Robert

Rush,
My wife and I had a baby recently and the thing that calms him down the most when he is upset is playing reruns of your show via 24/7. Thanks again and get well.
Dittos,
Hugh
Casper, Wyo.
Rush,
Please remember, you are a part of our family, too. We’re not turning our back, no matter what. We couldn’t use the term “family” if we did. What’s best for you is what is best for the “family” and is what we are supporting through prayers and a positive attitude. Families are to lean on… so go ahead, please think us worthy enough to lean on… you certainly are worthy of supporting… no matter what.
Naomi

Rush:
I have been with you since I was a teenager, watched your television show, listened faithfully over the last fifteen years, and when I could not listen, tuned into the web site for my updates. The best thing about this situation is when people struggle together the bond grows stronger. Your audience is struggling with you and we are here for you, and will be awaiting your healthy return. As always, the left will be dumbfounded when the same millions of listeners are there for your return. Something the left cannot comprehend is loyalty. Your listeners are loyal, as proven by the audience there for Tom, Roger, and Walt. Tell the trio we appreciate their pearls of wisdom too. Dittos Rush and beat this thing for yourself, Marta, and your extended family.
Bobby Thurston
Hawaii
Rush,
You are not alone. As someone who understands chemical dependency (because I have a problem too) I hope you know that there are far more people out there who empathize with what you?re going through, than those who don?t.
The difference between my problem and yours is that you are fighting a physical pain, the result of an unsuccessful surgery. I am fighting an emotional pain, the result of sexual abuse as a child. But whatever our reasons, your experience has affected me on another level, and I have never felt more closer to you and your suffering.
Your announcement that Friday made me realize something – that no matter how much we hurt today, and no matter how much we will continue to hurt tomorrow (because we both know we will live with this forever) we can turn the tides so that the demons encircling us will become the armor we use to fight the good fight? and help others in the end. Because that?s what this life thing is really all about, isn?t it? Helping others.
You were selected, not cursed.
Embrace this,
Alina
NYC
Rush,
Please know that you have my prayers and support in your battle against prescription pain killers. Having gone through having both hips replaced I know of the need for pain medication. However, I understand that back pain is much worse so I can see how you needed help.
Put your faith in the Lord and he will get you through this. Don’t worry, we listeners are not going anywhere.
Get well,

Rush,
We have no doubt that will emerge from this successfully. Once you put your mind to something, you will succeed. Been listening since 1990. You have inspired us all. Personally though, your encouragement, intellect and inspiration have served as the irritant in the oyster that became the pearl of my character.

There is no way to put into words the feelings of love for this man. I am a more stable and centered person after about 15 years of listening.

Smile today and know you are loved.

You’ve influenced me politically more than anyone, ever. You take tremendous flack & keep coming back with outstanding entertaining shows. I now, very rarely disagree with you. Before, I’m not sure I even thought about those ideas you articulate.
I’ve had medical set-backs & recovered. With the God’s help, your family, friends & listeners (myself included) you’ll come back stronger than ever. In the meantime I will pray that you experience “the Peace that passes all understanding”

Hi, Rush!
I just wanted to write a note and tell you I am really missing you. You contribute so much to all of us – kind of your own public service operation. I have always respected you so much and remember the first time I turned on the radio during Gulf War 1 and thinking how much sense you make. When asked in a game I was recently playing who I would most like to have lunch with, I said, “Mr. America, no really, Rush Limbaugh!”
All my best wishes,

I was introduced to your show just before Dan?s bake sale in Fort Collins CO. My daughter and I saw you at that bake sale; met thousands of Rush fan?s; and realized there are many of us ?dittoheads?. There was not a stranger in that crowd; everyone was so polite, courteous, and all believing in the same political ideals. It was like one big family reunion. From that day on, you have been a tremendous influence in my life and many of my friends and family. We all agreed ?Finally there is someone who reaches across the nations with his truth- and he is saying exactly what we are thinking. This cannot and will not end now ? I know you will be well soon and back in your ?Attila the Hun? chair, separating the truth from liberals lies. You and Marta are in our prayers daily
With deep respect
Marlys

Rush:
Best wishes from the Great White North! I am a regular listener from Canada and have always appreciated your unique combination of humor and insight. It is remarkable that you have been able to maintain such a high quality of programming in the face of pain and complete hearing loss. Your tenacity will no doubt be a great assistance as you battle this current demon.
My God help you through this difficult time and return you to your audience better than ever.
Ron
Rush,
We have listened to you since you started talk radio and wish you a speedy recovery. We’ll keep you in our prayers and appreciate all that you have done to help our country learn the truth.
Sincerely,

Rush:
I cannot imagine what you must be going through as you start getting a hold on your life.
I always have admired your self-confidence and your ability to inspire others to excel. Now it is your turn to inspire yourself. This can be done because there are millions of us out there who are pulling and praying for you. We will not let you down and we will be there for you as you begin the good fight. You cannot lose; it is not within your being.
Again, you have so many of us on your side. This is bigger that you alone; allow us to share the burden with you. It is my hope that time will help you to heal yourself; for you see, only you can work this miracle.
David
Hi Rush,
I just want you to know how much we love and support what you are doing. I never thought I would actually be praying for a radio commentator but I do daily. You will need all the support you can to get through this difficult time. If my brother who lived on all kinds of powerful drugs and was an alcoholic for over 30 years recovered, you can too.
Love,
Linda
Dear Rush,
You know that millions of your friends are praying for you daily. We love and miss you very much. We will be subscribing to your newsletter, and hope that millions do the same. God’s grace will get you through this.

Hi Rush,
Just want to let you know that when you get back we?ll still be here. You are too important to our country for us to stray or lose interest in the great work you are doing. The most important thing now though is for you to do what ever you must to get healthy again. Take care of yourself first and come back when you have. In the mean time, THANK YOU for all that you do for us, and for America. God Bless you.
John
Rush,
We do not care about this as long as you are all right and you will be. The LIBS are really sniping but they have been over-medicated for years. Screw ?em. All of us Ditto Heads will be ready for you when you are ready to come back. Stay the course. We will all be here.

Rush,
I support you in your time of need. I know that you will overcome this medical problem you have and I want you to know that my wife and I will pray for you and wish you the very best.
I do know that as soon as you are feeling better and have overcome this problem you will be back on the Golden EIB microphone. Giving us your unique take of the political situation and point out the flaws of all who are trying to give These United States away.
I was a legal immigrant from China. When I reached the legal age, I enlisted in the Unite Air Force and served proudly for twenty years. I love this country and I am glad to be an American. All my hope, prayers, and love go to you and your lovely wife in your time of need. We are with you all the way.

Dear Rush,
Best wishes from this listener, student, and admirer.
Good luck and anxious to have you back again.
We NEED you Rush.
Thank you,

Rush,
I just wanted you to know that KARN 920 out of Little Rock, AR has a commercial wishing you well while you are away. I was really uplifted by this. I was really worried about the individual stations around the country and was really glad to hear the one I listen to is behind you. I don’t know for sure, but think all of your stations are doing the same thing. Hang in there. It won’t be easy, but I know you can do it.
God Bless and Keep you Rush,
JM
Rush:
Thanks for your insightful leadership. I appreciate your personal efforts that have helped to keep like- minded people focused and educated. I look forward to your leading us in the 2004 campaign.

Dear Rush
I am in recovery for 12 years now through a 12-step program and my life has never been better. Hope you find your way as well.
Can’t wait until you get back on the air. You will be stronger and clearer than ever and have more support from listeners than ever.
All the best to you Rush

Dear Rush:
May the Lord be with you during these times. We pray for your quick healing and look forward to your return to the airways. We miss you and the truth. It took more than most people have to admit to having a problem. I was very blessed. My wife helped me through a similar problem 15 years ago. I have never had to look back or be sorry for dealing with the problem outright. The few ‘friends’ that I lost, may never have really been friends. The life I gained was well worth it.

Sir, get well quickly.
You have been an inspiration and a voice of truth to me, and many. Do not let this time remove you from being who you are.
Continue to tell the truth, be strong as you are, and your fans will always be with you. We all make mistakes, we all have regrets, it is how we over come them that tells of one’s spirit. You have great character and insight to many issues of what makes life great. Continue to be the man that you are, we are here for you.
Best wishes,
Jim

I am one of the millions that are praying for you, Marta, and the rest of your family. I pray that your recovery will be quick, you will be healed of your pain, and that you and your family will be comforted and strengthened. I’m eagerly awaiting your return to the EIB Golden Microphone. I started listening to your program back in the early 90’s and want to express my sincerest thanks for the good that you’ve done for this great country of ours. Your critics may think that you’re down & out, but I pity them when you return stronger than ever for having been through this.

Dear Rush,
You have been an influence in my life for many years. I have always admired your relentless pursuit of the facts behind the current political issue of the day and your unwavering ability to substantiate what you say. I see you as someone who turns difficulties into success. I will be thinking of you during your absence from radio and wish you well.
Sincerely,

Dearest Rush~
I want you to know that you are so loved and respected in our home. My husband and I have listened to your show for years. I want you to know we often have family prayer in our home. Our family will be praying for you, Marta and your recovery. We are firm believers in God. You have always done your best to give God honor and respect on your program. I know He will not abandon you. You are going to feel all of the prayers lifting you up. Your friends, family and supporters will be praying for you everyday to our Father. I know this is true. I am sure you have gotten thousands of messages of love.
When you walk through the “Valley” just know there are many like us who have not been shaken by your failings. You are only human. You are a very good man. We don’t expect you to be perfect.
You have been a godsend to this country and have given us hope and encouragement. We want to give you hope now. Don’t give up. You have battled many hurdles in your life and you will do battle here again and come out a winner.
God bless you and Marta. Much love and all the very best.

Dear Rush:
I’m 17 and have been a fan of yours since just before the 2000 election. I can’t even imagine what you must be going through right now. Please know that we love you and are praying for you. With God’s help I know you can get through this. “Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” – Joshua 1:9b. You are truly a great role-model for today, despite what you have said to the contrary. You aren’t perfect, yet you have demonstrated that you hold truth and integrity above the far-easier path of denial and remaining in your addiction. While you may have failed in defeating this addiction before, you didn’t have millions of friends aware of the problem and supporting/praying for you as you do now! God bless and GET WELL SOON!

Rush,
It is not good turning on the radio these days and listening to someone else. I will be so glad when you get back. Your substitutes are good but, lets face it, they are not RUSH. Prayers are being sent up daily on your behalf and I know God answers prayers. Recover soon and know we will be here whenever you come back.
Sincerely yours,
Brenda

Rush:
I know you have probably heard this a thousand times, but please take the time needed to take care of yourself. I know you will come back stronger and even better then before. It is not a crime to be human and humans get themselves into situations they sometimes have no control of. Your problem is very common among people suffering from a great deal of pain. Anyone who would pass judgment on you at this time is not only narrow minded, but a Conservative basher to begin with. My prayers are with you. I hope your recovery is swift and complete. Hang in there Rush, you are not alone, we are all going through this with you. We all love you.
God Bless You!
Laurie
Rush,
I have been listening for a long time now and am an avid subscriber to the Limbaugh Letter. I have been praying for you ever since I heard the news of your pain and drug problems. I pray that no matter how long it takes and how hard it turns out to be, you will come thru this adversity a stronger person.
You will always be a shinning light of truth to me and no matter how long it takes, I’ll always be a fan and dittohead of Rush Limbaugh. I will always listen and continue to quote your wisdom to my friends because I too want everyone to become conservative.
God Bless you Rush and may you return stronger, happier, and stronger in your faith!

Dear Maha Rushie,
Been a listener for ten years and hope to be a listener for at least another ten years. I?m praying for you to beat your addiction and the pain that brought this into your life. We need you firmly ensconced in the Attila the Hun Chair behind the golden EIB microphone. With you all the way, Big Guy.

Rush:
Good luck to you in these difficult times. Our prayers are with you, and we wish you and yours well. Pay NO attention to any of the stuff that a FEW of your bigmouth detractors have to say. They wouldn’t have the guts, or intelligence, to confront you directly on ANY subject! Get well soon and get back on the air. So many people support you, and look forward to your cognizant/conservative “blast of reality” on a daily basis to keep their heads on straight.
Get Well Soon,
Chris
Hang in there Rush,

Been there, done that. Mine was 20 years ago and for severe depression. But the routine is the same. It’s hard work and it’s not fun, but with GOD’S help, you will make it through; and your life will be better for it.

May God Bless You Always.
Looking forward to hearing you back on the radio.

Rush,
My prayers are with you for a speedy recovery. You have meant so much to me, and my family, over the past 13 years and coincidentally, helped to convert my 62-year-old cousin (a University of Colorado Boulder graduate) from a far left Liberal to a Conservative. In the meantime, we will continue to carry the torch until you resume your rightful position as our leader.
Get well, my friend.
Gary
Hey Rush,
I’ve been a listener for about 12 years. Your show is irreplaceable.
You?re in my thoughts and prayers. May God give you the strength to overcome whatever you have to overcome in order to live a happy and healthy life. I anxiously await your return to the air.

Dear Rush,
I have listened to you on the radio since about 1988 or 1989. I’ve never had the nerve to actually call you because I don’t think I could banter with you intelligently enough. So, I just sit on the sidelines and listen and I must say that I “almost” always agree with you.

Rush,
We all love you and miss you and wish you well and are praying for you. America needs you to be well and hurry back to your “Attila the Hun” chair. I mean, I switched to being a Republican because of you, I smoke cigars because of you. You must get well and you must hurry back.

Dear Rush,
Anyone who has had to deal with chronic pain fully understands the situation you are in today. Granted, the acquisition of the medication is an issue you’ll have to deal with, but your friends, listeners, supporters are there with you and we will be there when you get back to the golden EIB microphone.
Medical professionals have to deal with “impaired providers” or docs, nurses, ancillary staff, etc. who have succumbed to prescription drugs to manage pain… usually so they can continue to work. We have programs that bring them back into the fold when they are recovered. Anyone suffering from chronic, unresolved pain should be given the same consideration.
Hang tough … we are all looking forward to having you back.
Respectfully,
Charles

Dearest Rush-
I believe I speak on behalf of the entire WLS listening community when I say you are loved and missed. All of us have our weaknesses to deal with and our suffering is “On Loan From God” too. We know the strength of your character will see you and us through. You will emerge bigger and better for this I feel from the bottom of my heart.
Hope to see your glowing face and hear your smiling voice soon. Our prayers to you, your family, all who love you!
God Bless you abundantly as you have been a blessing to us!

Rush,
I am a 70-year-old, retired bus driver. You have all kinds following you.
I just wanted to let you know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I have been listening to you for several years and admire the stand you are taking against the evil in this world. It is wonderful that we have someone on our side. You never back down, no matter what. We need you and want you to hurry back as soon as you are well.
My prayers are that you will be completely delivered from this addiction and return sharper than you were before. I am also praying for the “lovely and gracious Marta”. I realize this must be a very hard time for her as well. I know you are receiving the same messages from thousands of others and I find words hard to come by.
Just know that you are loved and admired. God loves you so much, Rush, and He is the one that counts. But the rest of us love you, too. I pray that you will continue to remain as upbeat as you have in the past and keep us ‘looking up’.
God bless you, dear.

Dear Rush,
I am a 45-year-old man. I am an alcoholic. I have struggled for many years. I have found that after MANY failures, I never realized how many people loved me and cared about me. When I involved these people into my life, constantly communicated with my higher power, and reminded myself I am sick, things got better. I can only relate my experience. I love your show and will pray for your recovery.
I understand…
Brian
Rush,
We wish you total recovery from your addiction, one day at a time. We certainly need you as our “Professor” throughout these “slick” times, but your health and well-being supercedes any of our wishes.
Rush, I hear you speak of God often, so, coupled with your obvious belief in a “Higher Power, and your “admission” of being addicted to drugs, you can’t miss.
God bless you and yours, We’ll pray for you and yours and await your return.

However, we have never written to you before to tell you how much we enjoy your programs and how much we have learned from you. We remain behind you 100%.

Dear Rush and Marta,
So sorry you folks are going through this, as a person who has an addictive personality I can understand. You both are in my prayers and together you can get through it, it’s not easy but you can do it. I miss hearing Rush every day and can’t wait for you to get back. Thank you for being such a great teacher and we need you to get well.

Rush,
You may not want to be my role model, Rush, but you will to the end of my days be an inspiration. If ever I find it necessary to behave with dignity, grace, intelligence, and courage in the face of unimaginable difficulty, yours is the example I will follow. God bless you and keep you, Rush.
You and Marta have my prayers, my respect, and my very best wishes.

I am a conservative but that does not mean I do everything right.
We are human and not perfect. I appreciate your honesty in dealing with this.
This may be the silver lining in the dark cloud.
You could have died if this had not come to light and that would of been the biggest loss of all.
We need your voice to fight the good fight. We look forward to your return stronger and better.
Just hang in there and take one day at a time.
All the best get well soon.

Dear Rush,
I was first exposed to you in the late 80’s when you made an appearance in Nashville. My wheelchair-ridden elderly mother listened to you daily and wanted desperately to see you so I took her having no idea that that evening I was to become one of your listeners. What you face now can be achieved by accepting guidance from God and taking it one day at a time.
You are not alone.

Hi Rush!
Have been listening to you for over 10 years now. My day just doesn’t seem complete without hearing your confident voice and common sense!! Admitting your problem took a lot of “guts” and that will help your recovery. We all fail and become stronger from our mistakes. Remember that God is always with you, especially now during your dark days. Will be ready for you when you get back. You are important to this country in more ways than you realize – even those who oppose you think about what you say in the back of their minds – even if they would never admit it!
Keep your chin up – will be praying for you and your family.

Hey Rush,
I want you to know, first of all, that I don’t think any less of you. I was sad to hear of your circumstance but I wasn’t without hope. Rush, you are the epitome of hope. You taught me how to hope. I will be praying for you. God bless you, Rush!

Take care Rush and keep your chin up, you will do great, you are a strong man and you can beat this demon. We look forward to hearing you back on the air in about a month, until then, we are continuing to listen to your program daily. Tom is sitting in today, and he is doing a great job. Take care Maha Rushie! You have our support at 110%!

Dear Rush:
I just wanted you to know that I appreciate your honesty and desire to take this on without making excuses. What would we expect from the Great One. I am praying for you and look forward to your getting back on the air. The substitute teachers are good, but the original is what we wait to hear again.
Thanks,

Rush,
My name is Jeff, 23 years old, 2 years consistent listener to your show and 15 years supporter of what you have accomplished over the years. Your determination and ambition has inspired me and made me realize that I can take my own initiative in pursuing my own destiny. I know you will fight this addiction successfully and come out well enough into recovery.
God Bless You and God Bless us all,
Jeff, Recent Graduate of Eastern Michigan University & College Republican
Dear Rush:
I have been listening to you since the 2000 election. I wish I could tell you how much you have changed my life. From gaining a deeper respect for my parents and how they raised me, to looking back at my education and the subtle (and not so subtle) attempts to pound it into my head that all Republicans and conservative thinkers are over-indulged middle-aged, sexist, elitist men who are out to destroy the planet and it’s people for profit.
I struggled so much and failed so miserably in some college courses because my paradigm didn’t want to shift to the dark side. I was silent then and confused. I hold my degree in political science and wish I could be back in school challenging the lies and speaking up for what I have always believed but was afraid to express.
Listening to you I have a stronger, more confident voice in so many aspects of life. From how we raise our son to being able to detect the sardonic sneers of Peter Jennings as “reports” the news. I am grateful. I wish you the best and I know you will come back even stronger!
Sincerely,
Tess

Rush,
Just a note to wish you well in your present battle. We know how strong you are, especially to be so honest on the air, which indicates your strength for your full recovery.

Rush,
I am 31 years old. I started listening to you in the summer of 1992 in Dallas, TX. I had summer job picking up parts for a large company’s plant. The company pickup only had AM radio. What a wonderful thing. That AM radio with you on it changed my life. I still listen to you most days at work but I now have a great career as a computer programmer over 11 years later.
I feel like I know you. Like we have a strange friendship I guess from such strong agreement about issues over 11 years. I wish you well. You are strong. You will get though this. We are all behind you.
My brother and father are both drug addicts. You are nothing like them. A lack of morals and self-gratification lead to their addictions. Yours came from a medical condition and medicines prescribed by a doctor.
I forgive you, forgive yourself, and get better.
Thanks,
Brent
Rush,
Thank you so very much for all the years of being our conservative leader. I know you are strong, in mind and beliefs, and you have the love of a great woman, so you will make it thru! I know about now you have 20 million prayers being said on your behalf, that will make sure you succeed. I know you have mine. God bless you.
Rich
Rush,
I have enjoyed listening to your program and have benefited thereby for about eight years. I am not surprised to find that you have feet of clay like the rest of us, but I still admire you for all the reasons I admired you before. You have always expressed what I felt to be true, and have been faithful in your search for truth. I want to make sure you know that I’m listening every day and am missing you. Also that I ordered your brother’s book.
You are in our hearts.

Rush,
Just to let you know that I will continue to support the program. I get a lot of my best information (and some entertainment) here!
I will continue to pray for healing and strength. We are all human. I will let my local station, 610 WTVN Columbus, Ohio, know that I am still out there and will be. I need the balance of the EIB to counteract the abnormally liberal media (abnormal, because they shouldn?t be so one sided).
All my best. God bless and keep you all.

P.S. I have been listening since a United Mine Worker tuned in my afternoon program to Rush back in 1993!
Dear Rush:
I am completely on your side in your fight for recovery, and I realize that it is not easy. However, I will be anxiously awaiting your return to the GOLDEN EIB Microphone! I am a pharmacist and a recovering alcoholic. Thru A.A. and the grace of God I have been sober 29
years. There was a time when 29 hours seemed impossible.
Disregard and ignore any of the negative comments of the ideologically bankrupt LEFT. You are a patriot, hero, and defender of what America should be and was originally intended to be, and can be now. Keep up the great work!!!
Respectfully and with Good Wishes,

Just to let you know that you are in our prayers and we’re pulling for you. Can’t wait to get you back on the air-it’s not the same without you. Conservatives won’t desert you-of that you can be sure. Hubba hubba, duba duba.

Dear Rush,
May God continue to bless you as you go through your ordeal and recovery. In similar circumstances this scripture brought comfort. “And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble, and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me, for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.” (Ether 12:27 BofM)
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We know that you will prevail.
Sincerely,

Dear Rush,
Although I have never called your radio program, me and my family are staunch supporters of yours.
Rush, as a native of Dominican Republic and a naturalized U.S. citizen I have come to develop a deep love for America and the values for which, I believe, our Heavenly Father God intended for her.
To me, you represent that aspect of America (Honesty and Decency), which has pretty much been my concept of what America is all about.
As a Capricorn (January 10th) like yourself, I somewhat identify with, and admire your optimism and your “iron will” which I believe is second to none. Rush, if anyone can overcome the kind of obstacle you presently face, it’s you.
You have helped keep my hope in America alive.
Love you man. God bless
Yours truly,
Guillermo from the Bronx, NY
Rush,
May God be with you and your family. Please be rest assured that I am one of the millions who have you and your family in prayers. I will be waiting for your return. Don?t worry about the store, you have left it with incredible people- concentrate on your recovery. Godspeed Rush!!
Sandy
Rush,
I’ve been a listener for many years. You are responsible for educating me in politics. Before you I had no idea what was going on but thanks to you I now have a better understanding how the “system” and politicians work. I appreciate your explanations and insightful commentary. Thank you.

Rush,
Life is not the same without you on the radio every morning here in the Bay Area. I walk 2 miles each day with my headphones and listen to you. You are missed!
Do what you need to do for yourself and come back healthy and happy. This is a good thing you are doing, and I suspect you will be dealing with your recovery for a long time. I have confidence that you can do it. Anybody who can take hit after hit from the “compassionate” liberals for years can certainly succeed in addiction recovery. I have faith in you.
Hang in there.
Patti
Dear Rush,
I am a 51-year-old middle-class female who began listening to you around 1998. Having been brought up in a household where my parents & all of my relatives only voted democrat, I had a certain mentality about Republicans. I had never voted in my life & I was rather ashamed of it. Well all of that changed when I started listening to you, Rush.
You have inspired me, Rush – for the very first time in my life I finally voted in 2000 – straight Republican, of course!
Best wishes, Rush, I look forward to the day that you are back on the radio!!

Rush,
You remember Churchill? Never, Never, Never, Never, Never, Never, Never Quit.
I have 4 sons and one of them is in the Middle East. Our young people need your positive influence and clear voice for freedom and democracy. We are all praying for you to get your balance back and lead us on to a better America.

Rush-
You have been a strong voice on our radio since I was in high school and you were at KFBK. I remember seeing your billboards as my mom and I drove down Howe Ave. Now I am a dittohead, as well as my husband and kids (10 & 12) who will attend Jesuit High in a few years “because there is a Young Republican’s club!” What an influence you have had on us, especially in the honesty category. This is a big one for my oldest who has had trouble telling the truth. Now when he lies his brother tells him that he is a Democrat… after all they believe that since you are the “truth detector” and a Conservative… well you get it.
Sincerely,
Michelle

Grand Pooh-Ba,
I STILL can say “Me too Rush!” as you beat this addiction. I have 7.5 years sober. With God and Marta on your side, Who could stand against you? I’m praying for you and I’m confident that you too will be “clean and sober”. Hey Rush, The big secret is that it is not near as big a deal AFTER you get clean and as backwards as it sounds, you will someday see this as a blessing.
We Love You
John
Rush,
I know this sounds weird but that Friday will be a day that years down the road people will be saying… where were you when Rush came forward. I hope Marta is staying tough because she has our support also.
We miss you and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Rush,
I?ve written a little poem for you:
“Rush is a Dear
He’s full of cheer
And lively Optimism
He makes my day
In a special way
And if I could –
I’d kiss him”
Note – with Marta’s permission.
Sincerely,

Rush,
I first listened to you on a fuzzy cutting in and out radio over 15 years ago at 3 am in the morning driving. I lived in the mountains in central Idaho and was a Rush addict from the beginning. Although I had to be at my office at 6:30 in the morning to see patients I had to get up at 2 am and listen to Spatula City commercials on a crackly radio that I kept having to tune in.
You hang in their Rush. Don’t let them tear you down. You are a hero. I am proud to have been among the first to listen to you and recognize what a genius you are. You speak for me, and millions like me!

As a minister, I deal with people and problems everyday. I know you are a man of faith, and that faith will keep you through it all.
Hang in there – you’ll kick this addiction and be back at the Golden EIB mic before you know it. You’re doing more good for a culture and a generation than you’ll ever know.

Dearest Rush,
We represent three generations of conservative listeners and supporters of this great land!
My father and I escaped 33 years ago from the bloody claws of Eastern European communism, became proud American citizens and listen to you since your first day.
My dad passed away in 1995, but the flame of truth was passed on to my son, born on 4th of July 1976!
There is not one day that we do not have you in our lives and in these difficult moments in your life we want to assure you of our total support and love for you.
Blessings to you, our dear friend!
With great respect,
Cristina and son William

Dear Rush,
You have become an important part of my day and I will miss your words of wisdom and knowledge. I have been listening to your show for the past several years and you have taught me so much about the world of politics. It is actually a subject I feel somewhat knowledgeable about now, thanks to you. I respect you so much and realize that the tremendous pain you must have been in lead you to where you are now. No one can fault you for that. You have always been truthful with your audience and we will always remain loyal to you.
Please take care of yourself for as long as is necessary. We will miss you, but will look forward to your return and will continue with our prayers. You always tell us with perseverance we can do anything. I know you can beat this and come back even stronger than you were.
Watch out Dems! This is not the end of Rush, it’s just the beginning of a stronger and more focused Rush Limbaugh!
God Bless You and Your Family!

Dear Rush,
I began listening to you at my husband’s request in 1992. I have been hooked ever since. You have been there for us during our country’s good & bad times, and now it’s time for us to be there for you. May God grant you the peace that only He can give. You will win this battle with His help. Our prayers are with you and Marta during this challenging time. Hurry back – we’ll be waiting.

Rush,
I never knew you had the back problems. I have a bad back also, but not to the extent you have. I hope you get that repaired soon. I know you will get thousands and thousands of emails. That is due to the person you are. You inspire many people. You indicated you are not a role model. We should look to other people. If we looked for a role model that has done nothing wrong, we would have to go back to Jesus to find that person. Mother Teresa was close.
You and your family will remain in my prayers. Tell Marta she is a wonderful person. God bless you.

I have listened to you for years. The first time I heard you, I was driving home from San Diego going home to Lancaster. I retired last Oct and for years would take a break and sit in my car and listen to your monologue. Anyway, this short note is to tell you that my prayers are with you and your family and wish you all the best and that I look forward to you returning to the radio.

Dear Rush,
There is no shame to be had with this very familiar story. I have listened to you, Rush, since your debut on KFI640, despite the chasm in our opinions, at times, your cerebral offerings on daily political and otherwise, life, have nourished my cranial cravings. Your sense of humor and music are both sterling. Please know that you are wished well and beyond, each minute of the day. Hang in there, Sir; you will, not only survive all this, but, THRIVE. Prayers and positive humor your way,
Trish
Hello Rush,
Stay with the program no matter how painful and controlling it may seem.
I worked as the pharmacist at a rehab hospital in Newport Beach CA, I understand what you are going through. You must change life time habits and open your daily life to the friends that won’t put up with any relapse into old habits.
I am retired, I will volunteer to come stay with you if you need a “buddy system” to survive. You must do it differently than Downey did, never be alone, and don’t keep anything bottled up in your head, talk it out. Please read the Bible and we will all pray for you.

Hi Rush!
I just want you to know that you should take as much time as necessary to cure your addiction, then take a little bit more time.
Rush, this isn’t something (pardon the expression) to rush through. Do it, get it right, have a strong after care program, and then educate people on how easy it is to become hooked on LEGAL drugs.
You don’t have to worry. Your fans will be there for you when you return and you will eventually be bigger than ever. The majority of the people who are being highly critical of you are the same people who were never your fans to begin with. So, if they don’t listen, you really won’t be losing anything.
Get well!
Dave
Rush,
In my Sunday School classes, I would sometimes be asked “why would God allow one of his own to be hurt?” We must remember that one of the reasons that God has put us here on earth is to minister to one another. We can minister best when we can understand, really understand, the pain that the other fellow is going through. For most of us, the only way we can understand the other fellows pain is to have gone through it ourselves.
Rush, I know you’re going through some horribly tough times right now – tougher now than I can imagine. I know that you’ll come through these times wiser, humbler, more empathetic, and more mature. But don’t stop there – use this experience to help your fellow man, someone who will be going through the same things you are now. To my way of thinking, that is as Christ would have it.
In Christ and Conservatism,
Tom
Dear Rush,
I’m still listening to your radio show and will continue. I visit your website and will continue. I look forward to the day when you’re back behind the mic!
You’re in my prayers everyday, as well as your family. Just get it done, Rush, and come back even better than before. I’ll be waiting for your triumphant return.
Every one of us have something with which we contend. I pray that are victorious. But the truth is still the truth. It doesn’t waver or change because of circumstances. You tell the truth. Nothing can change that fact.
Warmest mega-dittos,
Renee
Rush,
I have been a loyal listener for many years. I believe that you are a very strong willed person and can defeat this demon. You are in my prayers everyday. God Bless you Rush!!!

Dear Rush,
I have been and will continue to pray for you and your sweet wife Marta. You and your family have been in my prayers always, but especially since all this about prescription pain medications. Remember to lean on Jesus during your recovery. He is with you always. Don’t just wait until you are in deepest need, Jesus wants you to lean on Him every step of the way!! Saved people make mistakes and get in trouble, that’s what makes us human. Let Jesus give you comfort and strength during your ordeal. I’ll be praying while I am waiting for you to come back soon. The substitutes are doing a fine job, but we need you. Get well and recovered soon. November 2004 is just around the corner, and no one can keep me in stitches about the
Democrats like you can.
Yours in Christ,
Mary

Rush,
I think that you’re a survivor like me. I think that God has more plans in this life for you, too. He’s used you and your program to bring the truth to millions of people who would have had a difficult time finding it through the regular news outlets. Your program has made it possible for others like you, such as Sean Hannity, to follow in your footsteps.
Don’t give up, Rush. This period in your life is only a set-back, a detour for a little while. We’ve all gone through them in one form or another. My prayer is that you will reach out to the Lord to help you be victorious over this addiction, and that with His help, your health will be fully restored.
I’ll be there to listen when you return. God bless you.
Andrea
Rush,
Hope you’re doing well! Come back soon! Dittos!

Dear Rush,
For many years I thought I was a Democrat. My family all told me I should be because we were poor, and the Dems took care of the poor. In school no one ever taught us the philosophical differences in the two. As I grew older, went to college and then to podiatry school I never took a penny from my parents. I worked two jobs but I got it done. That?s when I knew I was not part of the Democratic Party. I began listening to you in the late 80’s…. You were the most enlightening person in my life. You have made me realize what is really going on in this world and I truly want to thank you. I try and listen to you every day. You are such a passionate, strong yet sensitive individual, your journey will be difficult, but you are not alone…
You have my prayers, love and gratitude

Dear Rush,
I never took the time to thank you for getting me through a slump waiting for the final results of the 2000 election…what a depressing time. I never missed your show. Thanks!
I hope you recover fully. I just kicked pain prescriptions of 6 months of extreme pain. Once the source was found and treated I no longer need the prescriptions to make it trough the day. I can easily understand how the need grows.
God Bless, we are praying for your return.

Dear Rush,
I don’t even know where to start. I have learned so much from you and feel such a dept of gratitude to you. I am one of those classic Rush Limbaugh listeners, when I first found you, about 13 years ago, I said “finally someone saying what I have always believed”. You were, and still are, such a breath of fresh air. I have learned more from you and your radio program then I ever learned in High School or College History or Civics Classes. I am the mother of 5, and the oldest 4 are definitely not “young skulls full of mush”. And we are training the youngest to follow in the family footsteps. They are also huge fans of your. I am a true blue conservative, and my children are even more conservative than I am. There really are not words to express what you have done for me, and my life, and how much I have learned from you. Thank you seems so inadequate for all you have done, but Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
I miss listening to you more than you will ever know. I do enjoy all of your guest hosts, but it is just not quite the same as my favorite Rush. I look forward to your return to the radio, but I know it is time for you to take care of yourself and not worry about your listeners. My family and I are praying for you and your family and pray Gods richest blessing will be with all of you. You deserve all the very best.
Lots of Love,
Reita
Rush,
Hoping you’re on the way to getting better.

Dear Rush,
I have been a listener to you on WABC from day one. I listen every day for the entire show. I will continue to listen and can’t wait for your return. I will be there. I wish you well and will pray (and have prayed) for your recovery.
All the best to you and your family,

Dear Rush,
May God bless you and keep you during this difficult time! Please remember, God gives us only enough to get through each day, one day at a time. So, keep up the positive thoughts (as if you had any other kind) and make the best of this respite from your tough schedule. We know you will give this battle your usual 125% effort! You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers daily. Please always remember that your loyal and loving fans miss you and wish you well.

Dear Rush,
We miss you and America needs you. I am one of those immigrants in California who love this country. This country is truly the land of opportunity. You are truly an American whom I admire. You have helped me all these past ten years since my beloved father in-law told me about your show. You have helped my husband and me to educate our children about the unbelievable liberalism they were to encounter in the public colleges and Universities.
Our regards to you and your wife.
Love in Christ,
Alicia
Dear Rush:
Can’t wait till you are back on the air. You are missed, but I am grateful for the great men you have covering for you. You have so many people’s respect and love including mine. YOU ARE THE BEST!!! Hang in there, don’t give up… we’re counting on you and we’re waiting for you.
Lots of Love,
Debbie
Rush,
Our prayers are with you. As you go through withdrawal we will be suffering with you as we will be having withdrawal pains from being separated from your voice of leadership. As a listener since 1991 I get very cranky when I don’t get my RUSH for the day.
Hurry back.
K.R.
Rush,
I have enjoyed your radio broadcast over the past 10+ years. I appreciate your willingness/boldness to take on the liberal media and the liberal politicians who endorse policies that are in my opinion contrary to the “ideals” of American conservatism. Thank you for your efforts and your courage to take a stand against these false doctrines.
I know what a struggle you are dealing with and want to encourage you to hang in there. I have experienced two serious neck operations this past year both to remove a tumor in my neck and subsequent spinal fusion surgery to hold everything in place. The meds help initially but can become addictive. Rush, I want you to know that I am praying for you everyday that you are in treatment for your addiction. You asked for prayer at the close of your broadcast and I wanted you to know that as a Christian, I consider prayer the greatest thing I could ever do for someone. You have tapped into the right place, asking for prayer, and I know that God will see you and your family through this Rush. I am sure you have heard a lot of clich?s but I would like to close with one of my favorite scripture verses that is especially applicable to your situation.
“I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me”
Philippians 4:13
God Bless!
Chris

Rush,
One day back in 1993 I was a happy liberal democrat driving in my car on a long trip from Southern CA to Northern CA. The only radio station I could get that was not country music was your radio program on KFI 640. I didn’t want to listen to a hate filled, homophobic, racist who wanted women barefoot and pregnant etc, etc, etc. I immediately tuned you out but eventually came back to the station because I was very bored and needed something to pass the time on the big empty interstate 5. My only information about you was from your enemies, you were a horrible person! I was ready to shout your hate mongering down and was set to entertain myself that way.
Rush, I would hate to hear how my enemies describe ME! I was amazed that you were a person after my own heart who wanted the best for all Americans. I thought you were wrong on some issues but you addressed your issues logically where I was only used to hearing arguments expressed emotionally, if you know what I mean. Feel-goodism is only that, it solves nothing. You taught me that. Sometimes the hard logical choice is not only the best way, it is the only way. You were fair, funny, logical, thought provoking and filled with actual facts and figures instead of the guff I was used to buying. Listening to you, I realized that I was actually a conservative! I thought I was a liberal! I even voted for Clinton the first time.
Hahahahaha… oh man, was I ever lost and duped!
I have been a loyal listener ever since. You taught me how to think, not what to think, and I owe you so much. You have shown me the way out of my faulty thinking and into a world of open honesty and fact finding in the way I treat social and political issues I am confronted with. Thank you. I really mean it from my heart, mind and soul. Thank you Rush for being there for us.
I was very saddened to hear about your addiction to prescription drugs, I was frightened for your health too. Thank God you are getting help. I pray for you every day. I myself had to go into rehab for alcohol 5 years ago. I hallucinated day and night for 3 days. I was in a world of hurt. I had 3 weeks of rehab during which time I gave that bottle of whiskey to God, and if Satan wants it, he is damn well going to have to wrest it from God’s hand. I’ve not had a drop since that day. You can do it too Rush. If I can kick it, you can too.
I hear a couple of the REAL hate mongers (the ones I suppose who painted my early picture of you pre 1993) in the media wishing you the worst, but everybody who is even a hundredth as fair as you are, wish you the very best and a speedy recovery. There are a LOT of people pulling for you! You are loved very much Rush!! Please don’t beat up on yourself, beat up on your addiction and make us all even MORE proud of you. Show the rest of us how it is done with CLASS. I have a huge amount of confidence in you. Come back soon, I miss you very much.
God bless you sir,
Gary

Rush,
We miss you. You have a rough road ahead of you, but you did not get to be
where you are by being a quitter or worrying about what others say about you. You have
learned who you real friends are – cherish them. We will continue to pray and listen to your show on WGY until your return.
God Bless.

Rush,
You asked for prayers, you got it, every day until you return. I confess I also have an addiction, The Rush Limbaugh Show from 12 to 3 PM Monday through Friday. I am not sure I can make it 30 days without your talent on loan from God, but I’ll try please hurry back.

To the EIB Family,
As a long time, long haul truck driver I have come to enjoy passing the miles by listening to Rush. While over the years the list of radio personalities has expanded, in large part due to Rush, I must say that it is Rush who has become a close friend of mine.
I have, over the years, actually developed driving habits that ensure that I am undisturbed during his show. I often laugh about the time that my radio died just prior to his show coming on, it was right in the middle of the 2000 election debacle. I frantically pulled off of the interstate in hopes of finding a Walmart. Having found a Walmart, I rushed in, bought the first radio that I came across, ran back to my truck and installed it as fast as I could. I didn’t miss my visit with my best friend… I continued on my way down the interstate… just the 2 of us. I remember exactly where I was when Rush explained his hearing loss… his words of optimism touched me… they made me grow as a person. I will also remember where I was when Rush admitted his addiction to pain killers and, even though we will all have to wait for Rush to go through the necessary steps that he must take to break his addiction, I am already convinced that my friend will come out on the other end an even better man than before.
All my hopes and prayers for a quick recovery.

Dear Rush,
On the morning of Friday, October 10th I decided to stop drinking alcohol. I wanted my life to be better and I was going to do this on my own if it was the last thing I ever did. On Friday afternoon when I was listening to your program, heard your admission and plan of attack, I immediately felt stronger and more motivated than ever. My first thought was that you and I could overcome these demons together. Thank you for your bravery and sharing with the world your human struggles. My thoughts and prayers are with you multiple times a day. I hope you attain the freedom you desire and deserve.
I love you, Rush. Please remember soooo many of us rely on your wisdom as we fight for the conservative principles that this great country was founded on.

Rush,
Please know that I, along with millions of other fans, are rooting for you. You WILL get through this difficult time and emerge better, stronger, tougher and happier than ever. We are all praying for you. The reward on other side of the pain and discomfort you have to pass through is FREEDOM.

Dear Rush,
My wife and I have been listening to you for about 11 years. The impact you have had on our lives is more than I can express in words. Of course you have our support and you are in our prayers. I have been a smoker for 30 years and I am currently in the process of quitting. You are my inspiration for this. So once again you are having a positive impact on my life. To say “good luck” just doesn’t seem enough. Just know that we are here for you 100%. We forget from time to time that our heroes are human too.
May the Lord shine his blessings on your life, Rush.
Come back soon,
Steve
Our best wishes and prayers are with you, Rush.
We are looking forward to your return and full recovery. We have listened since Sacramento days up to the present time. Stay the course!

Rush,
I am a regular listener to your program. I just want to applaud you for getting the help you need for this addiction. Not only will this help you, but I’m sure there will be very many people with this same kind of addiction who will be encouraged by you to seek help. My family and I are praying for you each morning. We also pray that you will turn to God for your ultimate help.

Dear Rush,
We are with you all the way, as a member of AA, I feel no one has the right to judge. You are the force behind all of us that are good moral Americans. Can’t wait to hear you on the radio again. Until then, all your great guests hosts will keep us informed.

Rush,
I listen everyday and have listened since the early 90’s. I was sad to hear that you were leaving, but we are all so proud of you for doing what you need to do! Tom Sullivan suggested that we surprise you and order the 24/7 or the newsletter. Well, I did just that yesterday, for a Christmas gift! Great minds, huh??
Just know that we are all praying for your healing, strength, and courage. We know that you will be back better than ever and PAIN FREE! Hang in there, Rush and may God continue to bless you!

Rush,
Hey Big Guy! Thanks for your honesty. No hard feelings here. You get this thing cleared up, and I’ll be out here. Stand firm, don’t let the “negative nellies” get to you. Like I need to
tell you that.

Dear Rush,
I have been there before. I took Percocet for 3 months for a herniated disk in my lower back.
I finally had surgery to relieve the pain. My doctor didn’t prepare me for the withdrawal symptoms at all.
You hang in there buddy! As the days go by you will feel better and better.
Turn to those who love you the most for support (lots of hugs are a plus).
I’m praying for your speedy return.
Dave
Rush,
I have made some whoppers of mistakes but I know that because I truly am sorry, He has forgiven me. And, He is helping me keep on the straight and narrow. Life isn?t always easy, for sure. I have been fighting a bit of a battle with cancer, myself. However, I am blessed with a wonderful husband and family as well as a church family that helps a lot, too. I pray that you know that all your Ditto-heads are there for you and can gain strength from our prayers and support.
Good luck, keep the faith, and may the good Lord bless you.
Very sincerely,
Ellen

Rush,
You couldn’t possibly realize how much all of your fans want you to succeed and come back better than ever. You have always given so much to us that it would be impossible not to take this opportunity to let you know how much you mean to us. I know these times are very hard for you, but you have always been like me in that you believe that anything is possible as long as you believe in yourself. We will all be waiting here for you when you return and relish the day that will happen. But if a month is not entirely long enough, please take whatever it takes to do it right and never have to do it again. Thanks Rush for everything you have done for all of us.
Vicki from El Paso, TX
Rush,
My mother (60 yrs old) is able to manage the hard work of a textile mill by listening and learning every day from 12 to 3 on 640 am WFNC in Fayetteville, NC. Rush my mother loves you!

Rush,
We are long time listeners and book purchasers and have nothing but admiration for you and your beliefs. May you accomplish the ‘cure’ you need and with God’s help stay on the path you have chosen.

Hang in there, Rush!
We miss you and look forward to hearing your brilliant analysis and insight soon. We are eager for your return.

Dear Rush,
I was an alcoholic at age 32 and tried and tried and tried to break the addiction but failed as many times until I got down on my knees and cried out to God to help me. When God delivers you, Rush He takes away the DESIRE for whatever one is addicted to. Please don’t cast this aside as being from some religious “nut”. I’ve been there, I know. You won’t hear this from the rehab centers or detox centers but take it from one who knows the truth.
God bless you and keep you and deliver you from your addiction.
Just one of your many friends and fans.
Shirley
Rush,
I just wanted to tell you that you are in my prayers daily. My support and respect for you has not been diminished in the least over this addiction problem. This could happen to anyone, and I fail to see the connection with someone abusing recreational drugs, and an acquired reliance on prescription drugs. Those who do are just looking for something to “get” you because they fear the ideals you relay daily, and those of us who share those beliefs. Hang in there and get back to your admiring public soon. Many, many people love you and still believe you are a man of honor.
God bless you!
Brenda
Dear Rush,
First let me tell you we miss hearing you in my home and home office. Then let me continue by telling you that your best is in our hearts. We hope that you are stubborn enough to beat this thing. I know that you are a focused individual, and though we want you back desperately behind the golden mike, that should not at all enter into your recovery. Recover for yourself. Recover for your family and loved ones, and then you will be healthy enough to choose to resume however you like. If you have the weight of the world (through your program) on your back, that can only hamper you. Though we all miss you terribly, THAT IS NOT THE REASON I WANT YOU WELL. I want you well for your wife and your own personal loved ones.
You have made us strong and given us great advice through the years, now it is time for you to take your own advice and do it for your self. We will survive regardless of your outcome, but you will not unless you concentrate on your own health and welfare. We love you with all of our hearts. I have never heard you say Pray for me until that Friday you announced that you were going away for awhile. I took that request seriously? my prayers are with you, just get well, then that will be enough. If we hear you again on your program it will be an extra bonus, but it is for yourself that I want you to recover from this thing that has such a hold on your life.
My best regards,
A grandma from Thousand Oaks California,
Reine
P.S. I am also a cyclist, a partner to my husband’s business, and a mom to my very grownup and married children. I can do all of these things and babysit my 8 grandkids and listen to you at the same time (and recall Gray Davis!!!) because you have opened my eyes to the possibilities in this world… they exist for you too in this most awful of times for you. You have been a most welcome guest in my home for many years, and now I hope these words will be welcomed by you wherever you are. We love you and will always support you Rush!!!

Dear Rushmeister,
You don’t know my husband and I, but we know you. You have been a guest in our home every weekday morning for 12 years. We have laughed at the parodies and cried when you told us about your deafness. We have listened to your “talent on loan from God” – your political acumen, golf stories, football expertise and your loving stories about your “lovely and gracious” Marta, your mom (God rest her soul) and her “blue haired friends”, and your Abby cats! We have also heard you generously raise hundreds of thousands of needed dollars for the leukemia foundation. You see, Rush, we have come to know you and love you as a friend over the years, just like millions of your other listeners. We are all saddened by your addiction and the long difficult road to recovery that you face, but make no mistake about it – we are behind you all the way! Our thoughts and prayers will be right there with you until we can hear your voice once again – entertaining us, moving us, scolding us and challenging us to be the best we can be! You are no quitter and neither is your “family” of listeners…
Fondly,
Chuck and Judy

Rush:
I started listening to you immediately after 9/11 having stumbled upon your program accidentally while looking for honest coverage of the attack on our homeland. I have not stopped listening since. While I was still working (up till the time I had a baby, also a Dittohead), I had to keep the volume turned way down at my liberal-biased workplace and strained to listen to you. Even heard that way, in bits and pieces and barely audible, you managed to inform, entertain, and enlighten me. Most of all, you made me see that I was not the only one who felt pride in the greatness of the United States of America. Boy, was I relieved about that! It was an ironic situation, since I was the only first-generation American of my whole group at work. Now, thanks to you, I know I am a member of a very large family of conservatives. I feel like I have come home.
Rush you know how you tell us to stay strong and optimistic even in the most demoralizing of circumstances? Well, my friend, now is your time to stay strong in the face of all you are having to deal with. I know you can do it. We need your voice to guide us. I am praying for you speedy recovery and return to the golden EIB microphone. Until then, my baby and I remain a loyal member of the family you have created for us.
Love,
A fledgling, but staunch, Dittohead
Dear Rush:
We dittoheads can definitely think for ourselves, but we all miss hearing you echo our thoughts so eloquently. Today I signed up for Rush 24/7. I am really excited about doing so. Our prayers will definitely help you get through the next 30 days. We love you and will miss you terribly, but remember nothing is more important now than your complete recovery.

Praying right along that you will grab hold of the “one who sticks closer than a brother,” the “ever present help in time of trouble.” “He is able to deliver thee.”

Rush,
I have been a Rush fan since 1994 and will continue to be a Rush fan whether you are able to come back to the airwaves or not. You are in my thoughts and prayers as I am the brother of two sisters (now deceased) and one brother, all of which were addicted. Nonetheless, I wish you the speediest of recoveries, and I know that you will be back stronger and more of a role model for American than ever before. God bless you and your family.

Rush,
I was a severe alcoholic for 10+ years when one day I woke up in the emergency room not knowing how I got there. My husband at the time had come home and couldn’t wake me up. He called the paramedics. Well I guess that was the beginning of the rest of my life (as they say). I put my life into GOD’S hands and boy did I start doing a lot of praying!!! I know he will listen to you and all of us who are praying for you to help you get through this really difficult time.
Stay tough and say your prayers every night. I know we all are!
Mary

Rush,
I pray for you everyday. The strength of all of your listners support we have for you will get you through this dark time in you life. We”re never giving up on you so hang in there.
We all love you.

As one that knows the process, I say come back only when you are ready.

Rush,
Two years ago I sustained a disabling injury while at work. I learned a lot about pain. My intravenous morphine was not enough, and I begged or something stronger. I was given OxyContin and another drug. People who have not experienced severe pain can’t understand this, but I would have used any means at my disposal to get whatever I could to relieve my pain. I wouldn’t have cared if it was addictive, or even legal. Well, I didn’t write to tell you about me; I just mean to say that I understand your situation. I know the difference between killing pain and getting high, so I don’t consider you to be hypocritical. Anyone who does better not take aspirin for a headache; they better just buck up and tough it out.
I am thankful that I didn’t become addicted, and I pray for your deliverance.

Greetings,
I would like to let you know that I am still and will continue to be a supporter of Rush. As an Active Duty Military member (proudly serving for 19 years in the Worlds Finest Navy), Rush has been an encouragement and blessing for the Military, and he is truly appreciated by us. I would like to send along by support, encouragement, and prayers for Rush and his family. I have had family members deal with the same issue and realize it is very tough. I wish him well, a complete recovery and restoration of all his health issues. I have been listening since I discovered Rush on the air in 1991 will continue to do so. He has had a big impact on my life in ways he will never know. I hope I someday have an opportunity to meet him. He needs to keep up the fight for what he believes in!
Godspeed,
HM1 JACQUE

Dear Rush:
In my prayers you are remembered. In my day you are sorely missed. In my mind you are a winner. Your voice and the message it brings is without substitute. I, and millions of others, look forward to your complete recovery and return to the EIB Mic.
Most sincerely,

Rush,
Our prayers are always with you. You are a great light in this world always willing to stand against evil. You have overcome many things in your life, this is just one more and we know you will come back even stronger. You will be even better equipped the use your God given talents. Never give up. Counting the hours till your return.

Rush,
Your life is like a pendulum. As is swings to one extreme you are one of the great Americans. The John Wayne, the Ronald Regan, one of the best.
When it swings to the other extreme you are a quiet American hurting and torn with demons but never letting them alter your efforts to shine the light of truth.
I feel more compassion for you than I thought I could.
Some people feel you?re a tough guy, callous in thought, but I always agreed that you are a loveable little fuzzball.
God Bless you, God help you and may God always watch over you.
We love you RUSH…

Hey Rush,
I figured out how to slow the aging process: Count the days until you are back behind the golden EIB microphone. It seems interminably long and slows down the time relative to everything else. You are in our prayers and we know, victim or not, you weren?t deliberately trying to do drugs for the fun of it and in my book that isn?t drug abuse. God bless you.

Please forgive me, Rush, for I was once one of those horrid people who would not let your show be on in my presence. But now I’ve come to adore you and just the mere sound of your voice is all I need to believe that there is indeed a God watching over us.
Bless you.

We all love you and are praying for your full recovery. I’ve been a steady listener since George Bush, the father, was President. We all want you back as soon as possible – healthy, happy, and ready to take on the issues. There is a huge void out here and only you can fill it. Godspeed.

Rush,
I am a 30 yr. old conservative that has had cancer and (3) surgery?s within the last eleven months, and I am currently in withdrawal?s right now from taking Methadone. I know how you feel, I just wanted to let you know, I really admire you for admitting your addiction. It is not easy to become humble and share your shortcomings with literally tens of thousands, but it doesn?t matter what anyone thinks, what matters is that you are now seeking help. Keep up the good work, and get well, use that mind that God gave you to over-rule the cravings for the things, that so easily ensnare us.
Your friend,

Get better Rush! We miss your “voice of sanity”.

Rush,
I am one of your biggest supporters and I feel like a big hole has been punched in my day now that I cannot listen to your voice every day. I just admire you so much for your honesty and your knowledge. So please come back soon… I MISS YOU.

Rush,
You have been the single most effective voice for conservatism and American values this country has seen in modern times. Your views – our views – are not diminished whatsoever by your current situation, and we do not judge you. Get better soon, but take your time, as this must be incredibly hard to fight. We want you back well and pain free, but we definitely want you back. Keep your chin up, as you always do.

Rush,
Just wanted to let you know you are in our prayers! Its takes a strong person to admit their weakness and a stronger one to do something about it! I’ll still be here when you return!
Thanks for everything you do!

Dear Rush:
You have been making my day for fifteen years now and I can’t wait for your return even though I enjoy your guest hosts too. Best wishes from one of the millions who enjoy your show. I know you will beat this test just as you always have to become the best there is in radio.
You will be in my prayers.

The Sawyer family here in Boise Idaho wanted to let you know that we are continually praying for you and we love you very much. Our daughter at the age of two would hear the beginnings of the Rush Limbaugh tune (by the Pretenders) and shout out in glee, “Russ Limba!” She is eight now and on her way to being on the RIGHT and YES, she says your name correctly now.
May God bless you and your family. We have no doubt that with the Lord’s help you WILL persevere through this difficult trial.

DEAR RUSH,
MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU AND YOU HAVE MY TOTAL SUPPORT.
MY BOYFRIEND OF 3 YEARS HAS UNDERGONE 3 BACK SURGERIES AND I KNOW JUST FROM TAKING CARE OF HIM THE PAIN LEVEL AND FRUSTRATION THAT GOES ALONG WITH THAT. HE ALSO HAS TAKEN MANY, MANY PRESCRIPTION DRUGS INCLUDING THE DREADED OXYCONTIN. HE HAD TO BE WEANED VERY SLOWLY OFF THAT ONE AND HE STILL HAD A DEVIL OF A TIME.
COME BACK TO US SOON! WE NEED YOU!!!

Rush,
You have been a profound constant in my life the past 15 years. The syllabus you make available to us on a daily basis is invaluable. I thank you for the priceless education you and The EIB Institute have given me. It is worth more to me than you know and definitely the best education you can get for the money. As always, you are ahead of your time by providing “higher education” on-air, now everyone is trying to reinvent the wheel by providing education on-line. Only you, El Rushbo, could be ahead of that curve! I will continue to listen to your Assistant Professors until your return. I am eagerly looking forward to continuing my studies with you next semester and beyond.
God Bless you Rush? We love you!

Rush,
Been a listener for a long time. After every program I feel uplifted and know as long as you?re at the helm all will be well. Looking for your return. Hang in there. This will be just a small blip on the big picture. Get well soon, and know you have lots of support. You are doing what you were born to do.

Dear Rush,
I’m thinking of you and praying for you everyday. I started listening to you in 1996 when I was in college to see how the other side thought. I’ve been a faithful listener since.
I miss you.

Rush,
Thank you for the honesty and candor in confronting your problems with painkillers. You will do America a lot of good by approaching this with the same skill and common sense that we?ve seen you use to change America.
Kicking isn?t easy. There are many of us successful, middle aged, slightly balding midwestern males of European Decent that are caught up in addiction. I have kicked before and God willing will not need to again. I need your example to remind me that I?m not alone. I?m writing you to remind you that you?re not alone.
You are brave. I am proud of you; you are an American with guts. We do screw up, and then we fix it. We believe in ideals and act on those ideals. Please continue to inspire us Rush. You deserve the best.
God bless you. Walk with Christ. He suffered and found comfort in the spirit. He left this grace for us. Use it Rush, believe and find peace. I disagree with you politically, but we are one in the spirit. There?s room for all of us and that?s the way it should be.
Again, Thanks

Rush,
You have inspired us for the past 15 years, and we would like to return the favor. We can’t begin to imagine the difficulties you face, but we know you can handle it. My mama always said, “anything that doesn’t kill us makes us stronger.” I believe that to be true. Hang in there and know there are millions of us out here saying personal prayers for you and wishing you God speed and a happy return to the EIB microphone.
Love you, dear Rush.

Hi Rush,
Please know that you have a lot of friends missing you every day. I say friends, not listeners, because although you don’t know us, we have come to know you, and genuinely like you as a person. Many of us are praying for you daily – I pray for you and President Bush (among others) each morning. With God’s help, you will beat this problem, and be a stronger
person with the victory. Take care Rush, and come back soon.
All the best,

Hi Rush,
I know what I’m about to write is not unique and has been stated before. But in times like these, some things can never be repeated too often. I?ve been a fan of yours for 11-years. I grew up under Reagan with the belief he was one of our greatest presidents and America was the greatest nation on earth. Fortunately, I went to a fairly conservative Christian high school and was, more-or-less, spared from the corrosive effects of the Left.
When I entered the liberal State University of New York State college system in 1990 my confidence in American institutions immediately came under assault. Life outside college wasn?t much better as I found few places in New York State clung to the more conservative values of Allegany County where I grew up. Slowly my long-held beliefs were being picked apart, piece-by-piece, and I was becoming disillusioned.
I watched in dismay throughout the ?92 Presidential election as the media and the Left unjustly picked apart at President George H.W. Bush, a man whom I deeply respected as a decent and honorable man. Surrounded by liberal elite professors and students spouting nutty views, nowhere did there seem to be anyone with any voice of reason or common sense. It was a very lonely time. I was a conservative island in the center of a liberal flood.
One night I happened to turn on the TV and there, low and behold, was yet another loudmouth spouting off against Bush and the America I believed in?or so I thought. I turned it off almost as quickly as I had turned it on, not really listening to what the man was saying. The man had been discussing the upcoming election and I wasn?t in the mood for any more liberal garbage. That?s all that seemed to be on TV in those days, the first Clinton Campaign being in full swing, with the media experiencing perhaps the biggest, most drawn-out orgasm in the history of the Universe.
A few days later, though, I stumbled upon that show again. I listened more carefully this time. Wait a minute! This guy wasn?t Bush-bashing at all! This guy wasn?t heralding Clinton was the second coming of Christ! This guy was saying exactly the sorts of things I was thinking, yet didn?t have the courage to say nor the wisdom to articulate! So I listened. And I laughed. The show was hilarious! The show actually made sense! Moreover, it reaffirmed my own beliefs. Needless to say, that show was the Rush Limbaugh television show. After a few nights watching, I started hunting for the radio program. I?ve been hooked ever since.
You got me through the liberal assault of college. You got me through the degeneration that was the Clinton years. You have been my teacher, my beckon, and my friend. You have helped me maintain my optimism and hopefulness through even the darkest periods of my life. After my family, you have been one of the few constants I have enjoyed. Wherever I have moved, one of the first things I do is find a station that carries Rush.
I know this is a difficult time for you and your family. I hope my thoughts and prayers, along with the thoughts and prayers of millions of others, will help sustain you like you have done for so many. I have no doubts you will pull through this and be stronger for the experience. After all, it is not fame or riches, rather it?s how we confront our challenges and rise up triumphant over them that make a person great. If there?s one thing you?ve taught me over the years, it is that.
Rest up and get well. I look forward to listening to you again soon.
R.J.

Dear Rush,
A few years ago I had a real problem believing in myself. Growing up without a father, no one ever taught me how to believe in myself. It was YOU that told me I could do anything. I sort of adopted you as a father. You convinced me, and you know what? As usual you were right. I can.
I am compelled to tell you, this can be done. You can kick this. You can kick anything. I believe in you, you can do anything. I miss you, we all miss you. The atilla-the-hun chair is in good hands. Get well. Thoughts, prayers, and wishes are with you.
Thank you,
Chris
Hey Rush,
First of all you are in my thoughts and prayers. Your replacements are wonderful but they are not you! Now let’s get down to beating this thing. I have no doubt you can do it Rush, you know why? The liberals all want you to fail, make them eat crow Rush! Don’t worry us “Dittoheads” are out here doing your work gladly while you get better.
There is something I have wanted to tell you for a very long time. Your listeners owe you so much. I especially feel I do. You have taught me so much over the years and have never asked for anything in return. I was a “young skull full of mush “until one day my father told me to listen to you. My father meant the world to me and I had always thought he was the smartest man in the world until I listened to you. I have since lost my father to cancer 4 yrs ago, and have adopted you (even though your not really old enough to be my father) does that matter? You have given me an education that is priceless, and will stay with me always. Get well Rush, we love you and need you.

Dear Rush,
Never fear, we’re still out here and tuned in. Everyone has done a great job as a guest instructor at the EIB Institute. That said, we’re hankering to hear the Doctor of Democracy ensconced behind the golden EIB microphone once again.
God bless you and keep you.

Remember Rush,
We are all human. Even though we may try harder than the Democrats to be perfect, life is hard.
Myself and two sons are avid fans and will continue to be fans of yours. They are grown and gone from home, but when we get together, we talk about your program. We enjoy your dedication to inform the country about the liberal democrats and just how unintelligent they are proving themselves to be.
Get back soon!

Rush,
No one who loves you is disappointed in you.
You are your worst critic… it’s okay to be human.
Those who are unkind will have to answer to God.
There is great freedom in humility… don’t fight it.
Remember the ending to “It’s a Wonderful Life!”? You have millions of fans praying for you and will support you whatever happens. Your life is going to end up like a Frank Capra movie. All heroes must face five life traumas, ask any novel writer, this is your LAST ONE!!! You can get through it and you will. Just take one breath at a time and breathe through it.
When in total despair repeat as needed (up to hundreds of times in a minute), “I will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee.” God is near, let Him rescue you. Advice from one who has had plenty of experience in failure and pain and plenty of experience in healing and redemption and peace and happiness and happily ever afters.

Dear Rush,
Thanks so much for your many dedicated years to the truth. You have made a difference in many lives and in the direction of our great nation, and in turn, the world. I was very sorry to hear of your illness. It is admirable that you shared the problem with those that appreciate you and your work. I hope you recover fully and quickly so you can soon return to the “golden EIB mike”. We miss you.
Mike
Rush,
When you told us, your listening audience, that you were addicted to painkillers, it felt like someone kicked me in the stomach. I sank in to my chair and just thought “Wow” in disbelief. After it sank in, I realized that it does happen to the best of us, no matter if we expect it or not. I do know that the thing that most affected me is how much of a stand-up guy you were and how much courage it took to admit you had a problem in front of 20 million people and were seeking treatment for it. The next thing that affected me is how tough it might/will be for you and your family to get through this.
I think the one thing that has irritated the “left” in all of this is that you were a man, an honest man, who told the truth and is seeking treatment, all on your own and you’re not looking to blame anyone or anything. Rush, having stood by you since the age of 16, and being 29 now, I am not giving up now. I am behind you 110% and know you will be able to kick this problem to the curb and put it behind you. With each mistake we make in our lives, and we all make them, it makes us that much stronger if we learn from them. Rush, I look forward to hearing you back in front of the Golden EIB microphone! My prayers are with you and your family.
Loyal listener, fan, believer,

Dear Rush,
I’m a huge fan of yours and I respect you for admitting your mistake. Hey, we all mess up sometimes. I’m not perfect, either! Whenever I have a chance, I listen to your show on 1210 AM in Philly. I also enjoy the substitute teachers who run your class when you’re away. I’m a Christian Conservative and very proud of it. I know from personal experience that prayer really does work. God is a far better physician than any MD. God will heal you. It may take a while, but His timing is better than anyone else’s. Whatever you do, please don’t give up. You can overcome this. You’re a good man, Rush, and I have confidence in you to make it through this problem. No, it won’t be easy. People will criticize you. Just don’t give up. The more they complain, the dumber they look. I’m still your fan.

Writing to let you know we are all hoping for your success. I can only imagine how difficult this must be, but hope you are looking forward to adding this to your list of accomplishments. We miss you and will continue to pray for you and Marta.

Rush,
So, it’s official: you’re human, and you’re going through what many would call a dark period. In my experience, dark periods are almost invariably followed by brilliance if we’re able to learn the lesson the dark is trying to teach us. I’m confident you’ll learn whatever it is and move on to even higher levels of life. God bless.
Mike
Rush,
My wife, Nancy, and I wish you the very best. We have been fans of yours since you came to Reno in the late 80s. We know you will pull thru this. Remember the words of Admiral Farragut, “Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead.”.

Dear Rush:
I earnestly hope your recovery and return to radio can be as prompt as possible. It is far more than a day without sunshine when not listening to your program. Our prayers and best wishes go out to you.
Sincerely,
Bill
Mr. Limbaugh,
I have been listening since 1993. I was working as a Navy contractor on KAF-18 Hornets for the Kuwait Airforce in Kuwait City. My father sent me aidi tapes of your show and all I could think was, “wow finally someone out there that expresses how I look at things.” I have bought your books and have listened as faithfully as I could. I actually worked at WVOC in Columbia South Carolina and got to listen everyday while I ran the board. I am currently working as a Defense contractor and I’m an Intelligence Analyst in the Air Force Reserves. I wish you the very best and know that my prayers are with you. Take care Dittos!
Sincerely,
Richard

Dear Rush:
I have never met you personally, nor you met me. However, you have had a huge influence upon my political awareness and life awareness. You turned the light bulb on, and it has been shining ever since. You are such a positive force and friend. When I have felt down or felt let down, I only have had to turn on the radio or get to your website. There, you have made me laugh, rethink, digest and regenerate. Thanks for everything. It is my turn to cheer you on! You will make it through this hard time because you have so many friends pulling for you and praying for you, Rush. I am very much looking forward to your return and hopefully, will one day get to meet you in person.
Dittos everywhere,

Rush,
I am proud to say that the EIB Family has been extended to the Mooney Family for the past 15 years. That includes my “seasoned citizen” parents who listen to you everyday from 12:00 – 3:00, to myself who listens to you on lunch breaks and reads the website every night, and soon enough to my infant daughter, Reagan. As you have requested, you remain in my prayers as you persevere to beat this once and for all.
Good luck and God Bless,
Chris

Rush,
Felt compelled to write for the first time. Just to let you know I will continue to listen, I wish Rush a healthy recovery and have no doubt he will prevail. Press on Rush and may God be with you. You’re truth-fullness in the midst of the storm was refreshing and I tip my hat to you for handling yourself with grace and honor.
Lesser men would’ve cast blame and made excuses. At least now we know you’re human after all. Remember the old adage, it takes the hottest fires to make the strongest steel, and I can’t wait until you once again sit behind the golden EIB mic to share your sharp, witty insight that makes you truly unique.
Don’t let the bastards wear you down!
Regards,
Greg in Central Pennsylvania, listener since 1990
Rush,
An optimist sees this situation as an opportunity to persevere, overcome and succeed. Millions will be hoping for your victory with God’s help.
Good luck and God Bless!

Rush,
Proverbs 24:16 says: “For though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again”. Rush you may have fallen, but you will rise again, and be even better than before. You are only human, and your listeners know that. But you are the greatest human talk radio has ever known and talk radio won’t be the same until your back. Get well my friend, and know that you have my prayers and support. I will wait patiently until you are ready to return.

Rush,
I have been a devoted listener for years. I am the only Conservative Republican brought up in a family of Irish, Catholic, Democrats. I recite “Rushisms” on a regular basis. Do what you need to do. Your devoted fans will be waiting for you when you’re ready. God bless you. You are the clear voice of reason in this messed up society.
Take care of yourself.
Donna
Rush,
I?ve been listening to you since 1990. I was in the kitchen & my husband was in the garage doing some woodwork. He came running in telling me to ?come out & listen to this guy?. We have been listening ever since.
I have a complete understanding of what you are going through. I have been living with fibromylagia, arthritis of the spine, hips, legs & right foot for some time now. I have discs that are degenerating. I?m not complaining. I was on Ultram & then Ultrex for over eight years when I started showing signs of liver damage. I stopped taking the pills & it sure wasn?t easy. I live each day in excruciating pain and the way I look at it is; if I wake up hurting, I know I?m alive. I would rather live with pain than die of liver damage. There are many days, I think, Lord where are my pills to end this pain? Then I remind myself of the outcome.
God has blessed you Rush and he will not give you more than you can handle. He is walking with you each step through your recovery.
All of our love and support,
Ken and Debi

Oh Great One,
You?re in our prayers. We?re pulling for you to come through this with the style and panache you?ve always demonstrated. You have knees, and a God. Use them to get to Him.
Ron
Dear Rush,
I listen to you daily. I will continue to listen while you are away. The conservative voice has little choices in the mainstream to hear and be heard. This is essential to our American way of life. Thank you for all the years to your profound thinking and perspective.
Hope all goes well. God Bless you.
Mickey
Dear Rush,
I have listened to you since Day One on WWL in New Orleans. My husband and I are praying for you. When you first started, I could not get over how good you were. You made me laugh more times than you know and I personally appreciate this ability you have to confront congenially. Telling the truth takes a great deal of courage and you have that, but those thin skinned liberals could never take it and still cannot. Lordy, was their wrath what made the jest!!! You bet. Take as long as it takes to mend but DO IT because we need your reason, intelligence, and your voice so we can continue to say “Dittos Rush!!”

Rush,
I’m a student at Middle Tennessee State University. There are a lot of liberals out here. However, thanks to the icon and my mentor, Rush Limbaugh, I’ve been keeping up the good fight to push back the frontiers of ignorance. You are an amazing and inspiring person. Millions are praying for you and we can’t wait until you’re back. The left are cowering in there boots, cause even they know you’re coming back from this stronger than ever. GOD BLESS!

Hello Rush!
Just wanted you to know I can’t wait to turn on my radio and hear your voice SOON!
Hey, I quit smoking 16 years ago after having smoked almost 20 years. I simply KNOW I can never have another cigarette again and that I am now okay. So YOU can lick your addiction and just know you can never have one of those pills again… it is not easy, I know.
BUT the addiction I find myself in is listening to YOU!!! That is not one addiction I am willing to get over. I will be patient and listen to your buddies on the radio, so generously and willingly wanting to sit by the golden EIB microphone, but I can’t wait until the day I hear your familiar chuckle and next montage.
We are rooting for ya Rush, Take good care and thanks to all your stand-ins!!

Rush,
I know you will not have the time to personally read this. However, I wanted to tell you that you are still a very, very, important person for regular people out here in fly-over country. We miss you and are praying for your quick recovery and return to the golden EIB mic, and the prestigious atilla-the-hun chair. Don’t let the opportunistic libs get you down. That is what they want – to doubt yourself and your audience. Your success is based in truth and humility, unlike unapproachable elitists in the media. Hang in there big guy! We will see ya soon.

Rush,
I just wanted you to know that I remain and will remain a faithful fan and listener. While the liberal elite continue to question whether your 20 million strong base will be turned off by your situation, be strong and assured in knowing that we understand and that all of us face unique challenges and demons. Our hearts and prayers go out to you for the pain and suffering you have had to endure these many years.
God speed on your recovery. I will continue to support your local affiliates in your absence and look forward to your healthy, vibrant return.
Best wishes,
Diane
Rush,
Just a word from a listener from the very beginning and a fellow passenger on your 40th birthday cruise with Celebrity Lines, hang in there. Pay no attention to slime balls who will attempt to hit you when you are down – the usual suspects. Hope things are going well for you. Am listening to your show each and every day during your absence and, rest assured, your show is in good hands. Get well and yes, you will certainly be in my prayers.
Jim
Rush,
More people than we know have similar problems – when these problems are actually exposed or otherwise made public, and people are forced to deal with them, the healing can begin. We are praying for you, Rush.
Mark
It is with deep sadness that we all have learned of the pain that Rush has been dealing with all these years. Day after day, he would conduct his program with great professionalism and with no complaints. He will remain in my prayers long after his 30 day treatment as the pain he is dealing with is so great. I have a friend who wears a narcotic patch every day for her neck and back pain. Her surgeries have failed too. It hurts me that it is legal for her to handle her pain the best that she can and Rush must suffer so.
I encourage Rush to be strong and look to the Lord for his strength. I encourage the radio station that I listen to,1210 AM Phila., to keep him on the air and welcome him back with open arms. I encourage Marta to stay strong, as this kind of thing is very difficult for her too.
Please give Rush and his family my love,
Marilyn

Rush:
I guess Neil Cavuto said it best – and said it all when he commented that “taking painkillers to stop paid doesn’t make you a sinner. It makes you human.” We echo Cavuto’s other sentiments as well. Whatever your frailties, you are still an irreplaceable national asset. We will miss you while you are engaged in what must be the fight of your life. Know that you are in our prayers and thoughts every day while we await your triumphant return to the golden EIB microphone. We will of course continue to listen in your absence, knowing that your guest hosts are the best. But in the end we need you back Rush.
God speed,

Megadittos Mr. Limbaugh!
I realize that I’m one of many, so I’ll make it brief. Our prayers and our thoughts are with you and Marta. You are greatly missed. Hang in there, Rush, you’ll come through this and be better than ever! Love ya!

Rush,
A long time listener! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for the wonderful education you have provided me throughout the years. Giving me the ammo (accurate information) to address my liberal friends. I have learned more about politics and government from you than I ever learned sitting in any classroom. Heck! You have been my professor! THANK YOU! Take good, good care of yourself. This experience will make you stronger and better in ways you cannot imagine. I am looking forward to hearing your voice on my radio! So much love & Godspeed to you, Friend!
Denise
Dear Rush,
I am writing you from Puerto Rico. I am a “rich,” self-employed consultant and have worked outside the continental US for the past 5 years. As an avid Rush listener since 1992, imagine the difficulty I had when I began traveling and found myself unable to listen to your show. And imagine my happiness when you inaugurated Rush 24/7!
Rush, thank you for keeping me company for hundreds of hours as I have spent time away from home and family. I just want to wish you the best and let you know you are in my prayers.
Don’t worry about your fans, my friend. The real ones will stay with you through thick and thin. In the meantime, those who appreciate you the most are willing to wait any amount of time for your return… 30 days is fine, 30 months is fine. The important thing is that you take care of yourself first and return having conquered another challenge. Your friends are looking forward to your return and keeping you in their thoughts.
Best Wishes,
Dave
Dear Rush,
I am praying for you and will continue to pray for you. Please get well.
I have sent for some of your brother’s books to give for Christmas presents. Thanks for the tip. I have listened to you for a good many years. Please come back.
You are a good example for all generations.

Dear Rush,
I just want to add my voice to that of all the many others wishing you a speedy recovery and good health following. I cannot thank you enough for what you have single handedly done to preserve our country and our freedom these past 15+ years. We need your continued unique influence. Please come back soon. You are in my prayers. God preserve and protect you.
Sincerely,

Rush,
I miss your show. You are incredible at what you do. You owe it to the planet to be at work and you owe it to the human race to be the best you can be. You have changed the world and made it a better place to be, and I expect you to get well and continue to do what you were born to do. I will continue to do what I was born to do. Be your listening audience.
God bless you and your wife. Thank you,

Rush,
My wife and I miss you. We will be looking forward to your return after you lick this problem you have. We want you to know that the USA needs you and so does the World. You have our prayers.

Rush,
My prayers are with you for a full recovery. Although we’ll miss you while you’re gone please know that we’re better and stronger for having listened to (and called) you all of these years. We are also better able to hold down the fort until you get back. Take good care of yourself. I’m looking forward to talking with you again!

Dear Rush,
Very few people in your listening audience and very few of your detractors truly understand your plight. Unless you have experienced it, I don’t believe its possible. You are certainly not alone.
I once thought myself a very strong willed man. I was arrogant enough to believe that I would never be addicted to a narcotic because of my self-discipline. I didn’t even have a legal addiction to caffeine, alcohol, nicotine or even Diet Coke. Yet here I sit addicted to morphine.
I, like you, suffer from neuropathic pain from a botched surgery. People who haven’t experienced this type of pain, even my treating physicians, truly have no concept of the debilitating nature of it. My pain feels like someone ripped the skin off my foot and calf and then urinated on my exposed flesh. Worse, since it is induced by nerve damage, it is an extreme irritant. Like ants crawling all over that exposed flesh and intermittently biting it. Sound familiar? Clinton does not understand your pain, but I do.
I don’t mean to commiserate. I only want to tell you that at least one other person out there understands.
You have long been someone that I have greatly admired and sought to emulate. You most certainly still are. I will pray daily for your recovery, partly selfishly, because I need to know that this addiction can be broken. Please afford me the opportunity to once again follow your lead. I, we, this country needs you healthy and once again firmly ensconced behind the golden EIB microphone!
Your brother and faithful follower in Jesus Christ,
Doug

Rush:
As a 12 plus year listener to your program, I appreciate your honesty and candor in admitting to your addiction. That could not have been easy. You are in my prayers and those of my family as you and Marta work through this very difficult time. I cannot imagine how difficult it will be for you to break free of this addiction and to know that the spinal pain you initially took the prescribed painkillers for will be waiting for you when you do break free. Please know that I will be here listening to your radio program in your absence, and when you return. I am sure my 20+ million fellow listeners will be doing the same.
Take care Rush, get better, and may God continue to bless you.

Rush,
Mega “Cuban immigrant, Roman Catholic, Conservative, NRA member, Limbaugh Letter” dittos. There’s more but that should suffice for you to understand that you are sorely missed by this listener. If you wish to “retire” for your health and family, that is your business and all of us fans will support you and miss you.
But don’t think for a minute that we don’t want you back. We do! But on your terms and only if your health permits it. By the way, did you hear Ann Coulter’s great line? She said it on several shows and it is as follows: “The way that liberals avoid the hypocrite label is by setting the bar so low that they can’t possibly go under it. Congratulations liberals!” Amen!
I’ll just add that as a long time listener, I never heard you once set yourself up as the “morality maven” or kick people while they’re down. You’re human, not a hypocrite.
Your devoted listener and fellow American,
George
Rush,
I wish I could find the words how much you’ve meant to me and my psyche over the years (August 1988 to now) – I trust you explicably – it is really something to be able to say that about another human being. I don’t use the word “hero” lightly – but I’m awfully tempted to use it now. Oh, yes, I know you would bark at me that you are not a “hero”, but this is MY e-mail, so I can say it – YOU ARE MY HERO! Now, don’t brush that off lightly or as something being “over-said” – trustworthiness in the light of what you are going through right now is not to be derided.
You asked for prayer and here it is – “Lord, our friend Rush is in great need at this time – you made him, you know him, and you are the great Provider. My plea is for Rush to have a heart that is quiet and at rest?.full of peace – and looking to you as the Great Physician. In the name of our Lord, Christ Jesus, I pray. Thank you Lord.”
Neil Cavuto had the nicest tribute to you – it sure brought a tear to my eye. Don’t underestimate the love we all have for you – and we’re sticking by you. Your departed family would be so proud of you. By the way, that brother David is another Limbaugh winner!
Marty

Hi Rush!
Glad to hear you are taking care of business and getting better. We all miss you out here in the “Country of Conservatism” and look forward to hearing you again. I get a real charge listening to you during my lunch via the internet. Good luck and listen to you soon!
Miss your insights on sports as well.

Rush,
We have a large group of family (29 of us – our 3 children and their combined 21 grandchildren!) and we are all praying for your recovery and the ability to manage those recurring pains in your back and neck.
I do believe the foolish pundits who are so gleeful in their self-righteousness have forgotten the adage – ‘what goes around, comes around’ – [back to them, huh?]
We are thankful for you and your conservative principles. We have been 24/7 and The Limbaugh Letter since their inception and all of those issues of each of them have only helped to solidify our understanding of the ‘battle of ideas’ in which our US of A is embroiled.
We are confident that your steadfastness is being in treatment, and the steadfastness of our President in this time of the war on terror will redound to a good outcome in both situations.
May The Lord Bless You and Marta in these days.

Rush,
We love you and miss you terribly. I feel like I have known you, for so long.
We’ve listened to you, since 1988. This is the first time I have ever communicated to you.
Just want you to know, we the people out here in radio land are anxiously awaiting your return.
Keep the faith,

Hi Rush,
This is the first time I have ever emailed you although I regard you as an old friend after many years of listening to your show. Thanks for showing me how to be a better critical thinker (This has helped me with national issues, family issues, and my job as an ER nurse). Now is the time for me to offer encouragement to you. Chronic pain is such a difficult situation. However, do your best in rehab. I hope you can make pain medications a part of your past. My husband and I are praying for you daily. You have overcome many obstacles in your life, this one can be overcome, too. It is my hope to meet you and your wife someday. I was a ?stay at home mom? for 10 years while my husband worked hard at his job as an airline pilot at USAirways. Since 9/11 and a bad financial picture at USAirways, I chose to return to nursing. I have a critical care background but thought ER would be a nice change? and change it was!
Rush, do your best. Your are missed and loved.
Your friend, Julie

Rush,
There have been times, regretfully, when I couldn’t catch your show.
But like a good friend, you were always there when I got back to the
radio. Now, like a good friend, I will be here when you get back to
the radio.
I was beginning to wonder if you were human. I guess you are. My
prayers and thoughts will be with you through this thing, as I am sure
millions upon millions of your loyal fans’ will also.
Have a great day Rush,

Mr. Limbaugh,
I know you’re going to get hundreds of thousands of emails while you’re away, and you may not even get through enough of them to even get to this one. But in case you do actually get a chance to read this one, I really wanted to express my gratitude for your radio show, and all that you stand for. I can only imagine what you’re going through right now. I was born with spinabifida (mild case) and suffer from back pain myself on a somewhat regular basis. I know you’ll come out of this a much stronger, forward-looking person. I appreciate the honesty you showed on your program and look forward to your return. I’ll continue to pray for you and your family. You’re a true American that we all could take lessons from. Be strong, get well, and we’ll all be waiting for you when you return to your radio program! God Bless you and God Bless America!!!

Dear Rush,
I’m a huge fan of honesty, decency and morality and you fit that mold to a tea. You take care of yourself, get well and know that millions of people are praying for you, and I can tell you this, I’ve never seen prayer fail anyone.
God Speed your recovery,
Sandy from Michigan
Dear Rush,
I have been a listener for the past 10 years, however, this is the first time that I have attempted any communication with you. Rush, I am proud of you! As Americans we see so little integrity and therefore just automatically expect people to try and weasel out of responsibility. Thank you for not doing that Rush. I am praying for your speedy recovery and look forward to hearing you on the radio soon.
Sincerely,
Shelley
Hi Rush,
God Bless you!
Thanks for everything my friend.

Rush,
Having had a family member with migraines experience what you are going through, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife every day. Our family worked hard to beat this, you’re strong and you will, too.
Karen
Rush,
I am proud of you entering the program to end your dependence on drugs. My deceased husband did that ten years ago; got clean; and lived many happy years. Way to go! I will be praying for you.
A devoted listener,
Nancy
Dear Rush…
I’ve been a listener since 1988 and I must say you have been, and continue to be, a very valuable teacher in my life. My wife, who voted for Herr Wilhelm der Schlickmeister not once, but twice, is now a Conservative and fan of yours as well as Sean Hannity. Thank you for helping me bring her around and may you return to the radio waves in victory over this drug
demon. And so I say to you:
May God bless you and keep you.
May God make his face to shine upon you and bless you.
May God turn toward you and grant you peace.
In Jesus’ name we join the millions of other prayers from across the fruited plains and around the world in hopes of your recovery. Hurry back to the air waves and Gurkha Perfecto dittos our friend, James, Lisa, Asher and Brynn

Dittos Big Guy,

Rush,
We are here to hold you up and carry you in our prayers. We pray for courage, the large measure of which comes from reason, but the larger portion from your voice inside shared in conversation with God. We are in daily talks with Him and know we cannot get through a single day without Him. Therefore, we are already networked with you and wish you commitment and courage. Get well, Rush, and come back. Save energy for yourself to heal.
Sincere regards,

Hi Rush,
I want you to know how much I admire you for taking this big step. No one is perfect
(although you?re close) we all have trials to overcome, and your an example on overcoming yet another thing. I miss listening to you and am looking forward to when you come back. Keep your chin up, ignore the stupid media, your listeners are the only normal people and we are behind you and think you?re awesome.
Take Care
Sally

Rush,
In response to your request I have put in a good word for you with the man upstairs. I don’t know how much clout I have with him, but anyway, I did it.
I have been a listener since Gulf War I. I am a subscriber to your website, and I keep copies of both of your books in my bookshelf. My point is, I am a big fan. It need not be said that when you return I will remain a big fan. Anyway, I just wanted to pass along my best wishes and my regards.

Rush,
There is no greater power. I am praying to St. Jude for you every day. St. Jude is the patron saint of the hopeless situations. This time your efforts for healing will work because our prayers together will be answered. If you believe and have faith, as I do, the power will come to you. We’re all pulling and praying for your recovery. October 28th is St. Judes’ Feast Day. He will connect to you and ease your pain.

Rush,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I will continue to listen now and always because you are the voice of reason. The one voice that is heard around the world and THEY know it! Hang in there Rush and get back on track, we’re all waiting for you, no matter how long it takes. Some things and some people are worth waiting for, you’re one of them!

Rush…
I am one of your loyal supporters and will always be. Get well soon and back on the air. We’ll be waiting for you.
I’m 74 years old and a conservative. There is nothing the “left wing” can do or say to sway my political leanings.
Your fill-in hosts are doing a great job but it’s not the same as having you there behind the EIB golden mike.
A faithful fan,
Gerald
Rush,
As a recent convert from the liberal left in general and the Democrat party in particular, I want you to know that you were instrumental in my conversion. Instinctively, I knew the liberal agenda was wrong for this country however, I didn’t think that there was really any chance of overcoming its inertia. You provided the force for change. For that I am grateful.
That being said, I just wanted to let you know that we?re in your corner and that we will be here waiting when you return to the airwaves.
God Bless,
Joseph

Maha,
My wife and I, and our kids are praying for you daily – and will continue to do so until you return. And when you return, we’ll be here waiting for you along with your other 20M listeners. We don’t have you on a pedestal, so you don’t have to worry about following off. You are a dear friend who we just haven’t met yet. Do what you need to for yourself and for Marta. May God strengthen you and Marta each hour of each day, through the good days and the bad ones yet to come, and lead you toward freedom and peace.
See you soon!

Rush,
I wish I could be more eloquent but words cannot express how important you are to all of us who love you. Prayers, courage and the love of your family (including your listeners) will help you to conquer this demon.
Be of good faith.
Carolyn
Rush,
My prayers and best wishes are with you and your family. You have made such an impact on me and others I know. You have only grown stronger over the years. Your self realization and personal battles only proves that. I anxiosly await your return to the “golden microphone”, and with God’s good graces, you will be an even more inspirational person than you are now to those you touch daily. Thank you and Ditto.

Dear Rush,
You and your loved ones have my support as you fight your addiction. You will make it Sir. I am keeping anyone that has medical contact, spiritual contact, and personal contact with you in my prayers for wisdom, strength, guidance, and an insight into helping you over come this difficult situation! You are a winner, and have helped to make me a winner.
Best of God’s blessing to you,
Sue

Rush,
First Ronald Regan, then you made me a proud american. You have changed this country more than anyone in my lifetime (since 1966). Thank God for you. I can’t wait for you to get back. God be with you through this.

Rush,
There’s no way to tell you how much you mean to the nation and especially those of us who wear the uniform every day. We love you more than you know and respect you more than ever! Without a doubt you’ll be back and stronger than ever. I can’t wait for that day in the very near future.
We’ll be praying for you!
Respectfully,
James, TSgt, USAF
Rush,
You have our support, continuing support, for you personally and you as a great radio entertainer and truth-sayer. We know you’ll be back in front of the golden EIB microphone soon. We will let our local station know of our support and that we continue to listen to the show and advertisements.

Dear Rush,
Our Best Wishes and prayers are with you (and for your family) for victory over the painkillers addiction and help for your pain. We GREATLY value and appreciate the incredible educational and informational service that you have provided and will continue to provide to the people of the USA. You also instigate a lot of hearty laughter, which is very “good medicine” – experientially and according to the Old Testament.
Please persevere through this tough time and continue to do so through many years of continued future EIB!
Sincerely,
Dave & Lucille

Rush,
I remember the first time I heard your voice. I was in an antique store in New Orleans and I couldn’t believe the outrageous comments I heard coming from the radio the owners were listening to. Who in the world is this blowhard Rush Limbaugh I thought. I wondered how they could stay in business if this is the kind of thing they allow their customers to overhear. I was so offended I left the store without buying a thing. Well, it’s more than 10 years later and I’m an admitted dittohead. While I’m still registered as a democrat (poor home training – what can I say?) I am purely republican at heart.
I can only imagine what you are going through now, but please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and I’m still here listening to your show in your absence. I, along with millions of other enlightened folks, anxiously await your return. Take the time you need to get well, and join us again stronger and wittier than ever!
All the best,
Brenda
Hi Rush…
Well, hey! You aren’t the only one with a problem… mine is Rush Withdrawals. I’ve listened to you since the first week you were on in Southern Calif, at least 15 years… AND I’M IN WITHDRAWAL… the other guys are good… BUT THEY AREN’T RUSH. GUESS I HAVE TO DO COLD TURKEY, BUT MAN THIS IS TOUGH.
So as you’re going through the bad times just think about the thousands of us out here who are doing the same thing.
Just know Rush you are loved, respected, missed, and treasured and if good thoughts will heal you’ll be fine in no time!
Love ya guy, best to Marta,
Becky
Dear Old Friend,
I just want to add my one little voice to millions of others to form a roar – WE LOVE RUSH, WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE RUSH AND WE WILL NEVER FORSAKE HIM! NEVER!
Hang on, Rush, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, you will get through this struggle. And we will be waiting for you. (Love to you, too, Marta. You’re a special lady.)
Alicia
Hi Rush,
Hang in there. We all can’t wait until you are back!
I went through drug rehab in 1980 and it saved my life.

Good luck and god bless,
Being a former drunk and druggie (17 yrs 10 months) I wanted to wish you a great big dittohead hang in there.
It may seem like a big pain at first, but it is well worth the effort. Don’t let “it” take you down as far as many of us did.
Rex

Hey Rush,
You probably don’t feel like reading much right now, and I don’t blame you. You have a rough few weeks in front of you. Step back, and let the professionals guide you, that is what they get paid for. You are not the first, and sadly not the last.
Beyond that, I wanted to share a little something from my life with you. I am in Law Enforcement, and have had to battle my demons too. They sneak up on you so stealthily it is unimaginable to anyone who hasn’t been there. I have.
In law enforcement, you create a self-image that you are unstoppable and beyond reproach. Sound a little familiar? Beyond that, you view those who do have problems as weak, worthless, and pitiful. I have battled alcohol and the resultant depression/anxiety for about 6 years now. Trying to keep it a secret, because what would happen to my career. After all, this is all I know? I would be ruined!
Not true. I remember how scared I was that I would lose “my edge” if I sought help. How I would be turned into one of these “losers” that I dealt with on a regular basis. There are losers to be sure – but on your show Friday, you PROVED you are not. You stood up and called it like it is – that is the Rush I have loved for, god, how many years now (we both are getting old). You have a tremendous amount of support behind you. From those who you know and those whom you don’t. At this point, that is probably little or no comfort. It will be soon.
I have sought help, and got help. It was not always easy, but I can say I am sharper now than I have ever been. There is no reason in the world to think you will be any different. I place you on a much higher pedestal than myself, but you know what you having this problem proves? The same thing a dear friend said to me when I got the guts to tell him what I had been going through. He shrugged and said, “Wow, you are human”. That was the long and short of it. You are human Rush, a very special and gifted one, but still human. That isn’t such a bad thing. Stay strong, give it a chance, give yourself a chance – you deserve it. We will all be here when you come back around.
Tom

We’re pulling for you! You’re in our prayers and thoughts ? we don’t want to lose you, and just admire you more for your courage and honesty!! We’re die-hard fans from Sacramento and always will be!

Dear Rush,
You have touched my life and have been a major influence on the woman I have become today. I admire you for the man you are and there is no doubt in my mind you will overcome this addiction. Please stay positive and focused on the goal. Your 20 million family members are all praying for you.
Get well soon!

I’m not only loyal to Rush, I’m loyal to the institution EIB, thus, loyal to the speakers that are helping Rush through this trying time.
Please do your best Rush to hang in here with us! I am prayerful on your behalf and even more so prayerful for the continued success of what you’ve played a major role in promoting, conservatism. I’ve often thought of the impact of PROPHETS in biblical literature on their societies, their culture and politics and believed that in our time, Rush Limbaugh is a PROPHET, a voice in the wilderness, kind of an embarrassment to the elitists, but a refreshing voice to the thirsty and a filling voice to the hungry. If, God willing not, Rush, you should have to be gone from us even longer than 30 days, I’m confident that the work you’ve begun will be carried on by your spawn, Sean Hannity and others. But, for your well-being even more than my longing, to hear you every day, I am prayerful.
God bless you every step of your journey.
Bob
Rush,
Just a note to let you know I UNDERSTAND! I just hope you overcome this thing. I will be praying for you. The Lord Jesus Christ is fully able and EXTREMELY ready to help you. I am looking forward to the resumption of your “daily excursions into broadcast excellence”. Oh and by the way, thank you for taking responsibility for your actions- that’s being a real man!
Dave- Pittsburgh

Rush,
When you are on the air, I must say that my favorite things to hear you talk about is the things you enjoy doing, and the times that you have fun just being you. The political stuff is always secondary to who you are. You have a valuable thought process to be sure, but you are a terrific human being.
God bless you sir, and rest assured that you will have my “Human of the Year” vote, no matter what profession you are in and what you do, I like you for you. Keep positive and compassionate, and damn their torpedoes!
Michael
Rush,
I have been a listener since the 80’s & I will be here when you return. For now just focus on getting better, & we will hold down the home front for you & be here just as stronger, if not stronger just like you when you return!
God Bless you & God Bless America!
Get Well soon,

Dear Maha Rushie:
This is merely a bump in the road. You will grow stronger in the healing process and come back even more fierce, more influential, and more loved.
And we will be ready.
Cheers.

Rush,
In this most difficult time you and your family are facing. Remember this one important fact. True friendship is defined by those who are there when times are the toughest. I am with you my friend. I will keep you in my prayers for a speedy recovery. God speed Rush.
Regards,
Kevin

Rush,
Our prayers are with you. May God give you the strength you need to make it through these trials. I hope to hear you soon. Thanks for being such a strength over the years. After my religion, you alone have shaped my view about life more than anyone else. Thanks for your ideas.
All the best,

Rush,
Just wanted to let you know we are praying for you down in Nixa, MO.
All of us have our own addictions in one way or another? it is just harder to deal with when it gets laid out in the media.
Again this is just a note to let you know that, as my teens say it, “We’ve got your back” and so does God.. lean on Him and He will take care of all of this.
Thanks for all you do!
James & Myra
Rush,
I recall a relevant blues song, “Can’t Keep A Good Man Down”, by Tommy Castro, and a line in it that says: ‘…it’s not how many times a man gets knocked down, it’s how many times he picks himself up.’
Mark
Rush,
I have been listening to your radio program since 1988 and have grown to have a great respect for both your opinions and your ethics. I wish you a speedy recovery from the demon of addiction to prescription drugs. I also wish you a recovery from the pain that causes you to resort to the overuse of those drugs.
A faithful listener now and in the future,

Rush,
I have listened to you for many years and found your show very interesting. I and my family wish you and your family all the best through this time in your life. I was just diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma last week and have been trying to deal with the news and put a plan into place with my recovery process. I know what it is to be in a very difficult position but you are blessed and loved. Good Luck and God Bless

Dear Rush,
I fully support your decision to tackle the challenge before you please know that I shall continue to listen in your absence. And I pray for you daily. I look forward to your mighty return and your “talent on loan from Gawdddd” to quote one greater than I. Hang in there sir and get better I miss my favorite professor. You have taught me more about politics than anyone. Thank You.

Long time listener, began in California 15 or so years ago. Now in North Dakota (God’s country). Keep up the good fight. We’ll be waiting and listening. God speed.

Dear Rush,
My mother is an Italian immigrant who cannot read or write English. However she just loves you and is consumed with your show. And so am I. She agrees and respects everything you say, and at family gatherings she lets my liberal uncles have it. I just wanted to let you know our thoughts and prayers are with you. We await your return because come Thanksgiving dinner she needs more ammo. Good Luck. We know you can do it!
Sincerely,
Valerie
Dittos Rush,
You are in our prayers Rush. Remember that, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Keep the faith Rush and know that there are many people that care about you and are praying for you. God bless you Rush!

Dear Rush,
My family and I are behind you 110%! God bless you in your battle. You are in our hearts, minds and prayers. We will continue to listen and look forward to your return with great enthusiasm!! No one can take your place!!! (We do love your “subs” too- but they are not the “all knowing, all seeing, Maharushi”)
God Bless and Godspeed to you and Marta,
Amy and Rob
Dear Rush,
Good luck with your recovery. I am praying for you and your family. I know that you will be able to handle this challenge and continue the pursuit of excellence and the truth. I have never seen such courage as you have demonstrated by making your announcement on the air. I truly appreciate this candor and honesty.
I know you have stated that you are not a hero or a role model, but I have to disagree. You have been my weekday companion for several years and have added much to the quality of my personal and professional life.
Thank you for everything. I am holding you in my prayers.
Michael

Hi Rush and the EIB network,
Of course I’m listening to your show. I will always listen to this show as long as it is around and as long as it tells the truth. There is no other show that is devoted to telling the truth like this show and filtering out the left wing liberal propaganda crap we see and hear from the major networks and newspapers. Keep up the great work.
Best of luck Rush! This is just another one of life’s hurdles you have to get over. If anyone can overcome this you can. I look forward to your return to excellence!
Sincerely,
Phillip
I’m still here Rush, listening everyday to your program. My heart goes out to you and you are in my prayers.
Hang tough, you can do it. I have the utmost faith in you.
One of your many, many listeners.

You do not judge the ones you care most for.
I am praying that God blesses you with a full recovery. I know how hard it is because my son-in-law has been through recovery. He has turned out to be someone to admire. Don?t worry, everything will be OK.

You have carried the torch for so long. It’s now being carried by 20 million until you return. God speed.

Rush,
You have been a part of my life since I was in 7th grade. I am almost 25 years old now. I cried the day you told us you felt like we are a big family. It is a weird experience to have invited a person into my home for so many years, listening to you like an old friend. Although we are not even actual acquaintances, I feel for you and your family as if they are my own. Please take care of yourself.
A loyal student of conservative studies.

Rush,
I have been a 24/7 subscriber for two years and also listen on WPHT in Philly. I know you can beat this thing and I am looking forward to your return. I watched on the dittocam the last day you were on the air. I remember what you said,” A Tiger is a Tiger”. You are my Tiger.

Mr. Limbaugh,
I am thinking and praying for you. Have a great day and a better cigar.

Dear Rush,
I am one of many millions of people who are waiting for the day when we hear your voice again on the radio. My day is emptier from not hearing your take on the day’s news. I freely admit that I need a daily shot of Rush common sense.

Hi Rush:
I am a professor of counseling at a local university. I teach a course in substance abuse counseling. My students are very concerned about you. In fact, we have discussed your situation in class. We all wish you well. I believe you will be successful and can be a role model for people in similar circumstances.

Rush,
Dittos from Texas, home to such great Americans as the Bush’s and General
Franks. As Christians, my wife and I believe that when Jesus said that you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free, He was including in that statement people like you would keep us informed of the truth regarding our politicians and that would keep us free from being led down the wrong path by the insanity of liberal thinking.
We also wanted to let know you are in our prayers and believe you will soon be once again filling the airways with your words of wisdom and truth.
Gary and Sandy
Rush,
We would like to let you know how great a role you have played in our lives. We have been on board since KFYI in Phoenix has carried The Rush Limbaugh Show. We look forward to your return and you are in our thoughts.

Dear Rush,

Rush,
I was fortunate enough to be listening to you on the first day of your first national broadcast…I also had the delight of taking my elderly mother to watch your television broadcast in New York which was one of the highlights of her later years (she has since died). You are “The Man”, and I am proud of the outpouring of support I have seen from my (our) conservative community for you. I “ditto” that support…and I CAN’T WAIT to have you back in the saddle again.
With much love for what you have done…

Rush,
I’ve been listening to you since the Gulf War, and want to let you know how much I and my family appreciate you for the unique way that you serve our country, and for inspiring many others to follow in your steps. We will always listen as long as you are there (until all of America agrees with you!!!) I really enjoy all of your sit-ins, but there is no true replacement for the one and only Maha Rushie. Get well and come back soon. We love you, and God bless you!

Rush,
My whole family and I have enjoyed listening to you for over ten years now ? beginning when I was in college and now as a home-schooling mother of three children. We are praying for you daily, and we are willing to wait as long as it takes for you to resume your place in front of the EIB microphone.
God bless you.

Dear Rush,
I pray for your complete recovery often. I really want you back on the air, and America needs you now more than ever. I know what you are going through is extremely difficult, but it can be done by a determined mind and with the help of God.
Keep up the good work, and God bless every minute of your day!

Rush,
Keep on getting better Rush! Keep on getting stronger, your audience members certainly are! Your critics will not know what hit them when you return, and I can’t wait for that. Any weenie can kick someone when there down and can’t respond and that’s exactly what some of these folks are doing, by the way how many monuments have been erected for the great critics of our time, ZIP ZERO Nada, adopted home town dittos.
Your friend David
Dear Rush,
We pray that you are doing well. You have been a special person in our lives since 1986 at home and in our car on trips. It was so refreshing in 1986 to hear someone who shared our beliefs. Our hearts go out to you and your family. Looking forward to hearing you again in a few weeks.
Love Ya,
Linda and Bob
Dear Mr. Limbaugh,
I just want you to know that my husband and I are just waiting for you to return to the airwaves. You have the support and appreciation of many in this country. What inspires me most about your program is you make people think. It seems there are so few today who will think for themselves in order to see past this ridiculous rhetoric we hear from the Left, the hypocrisy and “double standard” they hold. Know that all of us who listen to you daily will still be here to listen when you return.
Our prayers are with you.
Warmest regards,
Charlene
Tucson, AZ
Hang in there Rush,
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I have been listening to you every chance I get for years.
I think of you as a friend and value your insight on many of the complicated issues we are facing today.
When my daughters were in high school and college they didn’t understand why I liked to listen to your radio program. They wished I would change to their favorite radio station. They were die hard liberals, especially in college.
Now that they are young adults they are beginning to realize that you just may be right on many issues.
Best wishes
Carol
Rush,
We’re still with you. We’re praying for you and we really miss you. However, your subs are doing a great job and we thank them for being there for you and all of us. We enjoy them, too, but nobody compares to you, Rush. You’re family! We’re looking forward to your healthy return.
Love & Prayers, Harvey & Mary

Rush,
Still enjoying the show but waiting patiently for your inevitable return. Do well and remember we support you and your family.

Rush,
I realize support will be counted in numbers, yet I will thank you personally anyway. Last year I met a wonderfully conservative man and discovered that I’m not crazy. I’m just beginning to get what’s going on. Thank you Rush for continued education. I am truly empowered for the first time in my life and refuse to believe anymore that 2+2=5. Other women hate me. I’m proud. Keep spreading the truth…they hate that!
God Bless.
