RUSH: Joe Biden, they say that he really turned that gaffe around in Columbia, Missouri, really quickly, really fast, Joe Johns said he’s really good at this, he’s really good at screwing up and then covering up, really good at screwing up and recovering. There’s nobody better at it than Joe Biden, that’s right, ’cause he’s got a lot of practice at it. He’s has decided now to incorporate the whole notion of get up and stand up into his stump speech. This is in Media, Pennsylvania, yesterday, at a campaign appearance.

BIDEN: Folks, don’t buy this malarkey, and don’t let your friends. Don’t tell me who’s on the side of middle-class people trying to make it. It is not George Bush and it is not John McCain. It’s time for America to get up. It’s time for you to get up. I’m ready to get up. Barack Obama is ready to get up. So let’s get up and change this nation now!

RUSH: What are we doing? What, are we sleeping in? What, are we laying down? We’re the ones that make the country work, buffoon. So he’s making this gaffe in Columbia, Missouri, and now a campaign theme.

BIDEN: Uh, uh, Chuck Graham, state senator is here. Stand up, Chuck, let them see you. (rimshot) Oh, God love you, what am I talking about. (rimshot) I tell you what, you’re making everybody else stand up, though, pal. (rimshot) I tell you what, stand up for Chuck! (rimshot)

RUSH: Stand up for Chuck! Chuck, stand up, let ’em see you, oh, my God, what am I talking about, oh, gee, you’re a great guy, Chuck, they love you out there, stand up and let them see you.
