RUSH: Orange, Connecticut, and Phil you are up first. Great to have you here, sir. Hi.

CALLER: Hey, it’s great to speak with you, Rush.

RUSH: Thank you very much, sir.

CALLER: I want to just touch on what I think some of these folks where the delusion comes from. I don’t think they’ve ever done anything for themselves. They talk about small business being the engine that drives the economy, and then they go ahead and drive a stake right through us. You know, you said you don’t know where the money comes from. I just bought a truck and I had a pay a $20,000 excise tax on. I’m pretty sure that paid for some roads. You know, the truck is equipped with emission controls for no improvement to the truck, but evidently the air coming out is cleaner than the air going in.

RUSH: You know, it’s an interesting comparison you make, and it’s wonderfully illustrative. Here they are out there providing lip service to small business, and you’re right: They do. They talk glowingly about all the work, all the jobs committed by small business, and Obama says repeatedly, “We’ve gotta do everything we can to help small business,” and then you find out what they really think, and we know what they really think. You think, Phil, that this woman doesn’t know anything because she’s never run a business. This is what she’s been taught. This is the danger of education, and this woman is now teaching it to students at Harvard. She is a law professor. This is what she was taught. Who knows what her parents believed. This is what Obama has been taught.

This is one of the direct results of losing control of the academy, as it’s said — or of “academe.” I think that’s a word that the elites love to use: The academe. Anyway, she’s been taught this stuff. It’s been drilled into her mind over and over and over, ask now she believes it. She doesn’t want incontrovertible evidence. She doesn’t want it. She “knows,” just like everybody else at the faculty lounge at Harvard. They “know.” You don’t know. Even you who run business, you don’t really know. You are part of the group of people unfairly benefiting from the sweat and labor of everybody else that you have working for you that you’re not paying enough, that you’re not treating well. It’s a mind-set that as a result of education. It’s no different than what Jeremiah Wright been telling the people who go to his church. Warren is a “visiting professor of commercial law” at Harvard. Commercial law!

Here’s Tom in Los Angeles. Tom, hi. Great to have you on the EIB Network. Hello.

CALLER: Mr. Limbaugh, it’s great honor to talk to you.

RUSH: Thank you, sir.

CALLER: Hey, between you and me, do you have a tip on Hank Haney? I could make a great project for him.

RUSH: Do I have a tip on Hank Haney?

CALLER: Well, how to meet him, how to become a project. You know, in my mind I swing like Luke Donald when I look at the video it’s more like Charles Barkley, so…

RUSH: Well, if that’s the case you are beyond help.

CALLER: (laughing)

RUSH: Haney would even admit it. They gave up with Barkley. Barkley had to start playing left-handed.

CALLER: (interruption) Yeah, well, he should go do something else, definitely, but he did work wonders on you. Regarding Warren the “red Herring” fascist out of Harvard back there. You know, her premise that she’s basing her rant on the government pays for everything and the roads?

RUSH: Right, and she’s dead wrong about it. Exactly right.

RUSH: Here’s J.R. in Southern California. Hey, J.R., glad you called, and welcome to the EIB Network.

CALLER: Thanks, Rush. It’s great to be on your show. It’s the first time I’ve been on. I’ll get to my point really quickly here. I’ve seen near 80% of the roads that are constructed in this country are not built by the government or under government money or, you know, tax money. It’s built by developers, people who build homes, they build developments, they build homes for people to live in, they provide directly —

RUSH: Yes.

CALLER: — infrastructure —

RUSH: But where were those people born? Those people were born in public hospitals, and that means if it weren’t for the government, they probably might not have survived birth. And of course, who gave those developers permission? Some branch of government had to grant them their permits. This is the way they think. If government’s been involved at any level, and of course the way they look at it, nothing can happen without government being involved, and public money is government money. They think money originates with government and that what you have is what their good graces have determined you’re gonna end up with.

CALLER: Well, there’s not much going on in Southern California, I can tell you that, and that’s because there’s not many developers doing anything in Southern California.

RUSH: Yeah. I tell you, folks, it’s terrifying in a way to hear this said so bluntly, so straightforward, knowing full well that this is what they believe. But in her mind, yeah, government allowed those developments to be built. It wouldn’t have been built. A developer wouldn’t have been able to move an inch of dirt without permission from the government. The developer owes government everything. Everybody owes government everything. I’m not kidding, you’re born in a public hospital, they own you. Any connection they can make to themselves and your life, they’ll make it in order to control you. Don’t take my word for it, just listen to what the woman said. This is gonna be reverberating for quite a while, and one of the reasons why is because so many people on the left are so ecstatic with her. They’re jazzed as they can be.

RUSH: Who’s next? Tim in Salem, Oregon. You’re next on the EIB Network. Hi.

CALLER: Hi. Rush, you’re a great teacher.

RUSH: Thank you, sir, very much. I appreciate that.

CALLER: I would like to answer Ms. Warren’s questions about business owners.

RUSH: Yeah.

CALLER: I started a business and had to provide the initial capital. I took the risk that the service would be accepted. I had to hire employees and pay their salaries from savings, and I provided additional funds to support growth — and I provided training, too. But the funds I provided represented 96% of my cumulative savings over 40 years. So I didn’t get a lot of those things from government. I put everything in it.

RUSH: Well, of course you’re right. But were I Elizabeth Warren, it would be easy to blow holes in what you’re saying.

CALLER: How so?

RUSH: Well, who set up…? Who regulates and who sets the interest rates for your savings account that allowed you to earn money? The government. Who is it that protected the bank and saw to it that your deposits were insured so that you didn’t lose it to marauding bands? Government. This is the point. Were you born in a public hospital? If so, they’ve got their hooks in you. This is the way this woman looks at you. You’re exactly right in your analogy; you’re a hundred percent right. Wealth created makes all rest of this possible in anything other than a tyrannical dictatorial society. As I said, you can build roads without capitalism. The Romans did it. They just used slaves. It can be done. But there’s no wealth generation created and there’s no private property. There’s no prosperity, period, obviously (except for the elites who run on the show). I’m glad you called, Tim, I appreciate it very much.
