RUSH: I mentioned to you earlier today RushLimbaugh.com has been revamped and reworked, and let me take a moment here to explain it, because there’s something that’s a big change. You no longer have to wait until 6 p.m. or 5-5:30 p.m. Eastern Time every day for the site to update. In fact, we’ve already got two entire transcripts of monologues and segments from today’s show up fully. It’s a new format of posting transcripts down the home page blog style, and they are updated as they are ready. No longer do you have to wait for the end of the day for the whole site to update. This has been one of my big bugaboos. Here we are, we’re an instantaneous medium — radio — but it’s a lot of work to transcribe this.

It was a little bit frustrating. It was nobody’s fault. It was just the nature of the beast. It was always frustrating — and actually getting it done by 5:30 or 6 p.m. Eastern Time was pretty miraculous, miraculous that it got done that fast — but now we are able to transcribe a lot of the program during the time the program is on and so there’s no longer any waiting until 5:30 or 6 p.m. Eastern Time for the whole site to be updated. There’s a revamped, daily Stack of Stuff for Rush 24/7 members. Now, this is posted every morning with all the stuff that’s used in show prep: Story links, video. Whatever’s out there, and important in the news is gonna be in there. There’s an enhanced and improved Rush Media Player — and the Essential Stack of Stuff?

Got rid of it. It’s now the Encyclopedia of Conservatism, and it’s housed on our website in what was formerly called the Essential Stack of Stuff; and it’s now open to the whole world el freebo. It used to be available only to members. But now through our enhanced search engine (we actually have one that works now) you can search by date, by keyword, and find everything we have published over the last decade. We actually went live with it on Thursday afternoon, Thursday night, and used the weekend to iron out some of the kinks and we’re still in the process of doing that. But some people have reported being unable to find the podcasts, archive location for various files of the program. We’re still putting it together and working on it, but I wanted to alert you to the change and tell you one of the high points the search engine revamp and on-the-fly updating of the site rather than having to wait until the end of the day. RushLimbaugh.com is the website address. Rush 24/7 is what you join when you become a subscriber, and there are super-duper extra specials there.
