Valerie Jarrett Campaigns from Pulpit

by Rush Limbaugh - Jan 16,2012

RUSH: By the way, here’s how this works. In Atlanta, Ebenezer Baptist Church, this is the day before Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, senior White House adviser Valerie Jarrett gave a political speech from the pulpit — Democrats can do that, you know — in support of her boss, Barack Hussein Obama, mmm, mmm, mmm, and congressional Democrats. Here’s just 11 seconds of what she said.

JARRETT: Teachers and firefighters and policemen, whose jobs are now in jeopardy because Congress — well, let me be specific — because of the Republicans in Congress.

RUSH: Teachers, firefighters, and policemen. When was the last time those were paid by the federal government? When were firefighters and policemen paid by the federal government? Well, yeah, the stimulus, but they gave the money to the states. Remember, they gave the money to California. They got an additional stimulus, California’s supposed to use it to hire teachers, and they didn’t. They used the money to give the existing teachers raises and pad the pension funds. They didn’t hire anybody new. But that’s not my point, really. So here’s Valerie Jarrett railing against congressional Republicans who will lay off teachers and firefighters and policemen.

Barack Obama is gonna fire 80,000 soldiers with defense cuts. Eighty thousand. So it’s okay, we’re supposed to applaud the regime getting rid of 80,000 soldiers, maybe shutting down an aircraft carrier, but, boy, we’re not gonna fire a policeman. What’s the difference between a cop and a soldier, really, when you get down to it? The glaring big difference is the soldier doesn’t kick anything back to Obama, not unionized. The teachers, the police officers, and the firefighters, whether they want to be or not, are unionized.
