RUSH: Larry Flynt is back. From TheHill.com: “Larry Flynt is on the trail for any dirt on congressional lawmakers and government officials. The Hustler magazine publisher placed a full-page ad in Sunday’s Washington Post, offering upward of $1 million for any information about ‘infidelity, sexual impropriety or corruption concerning a U.S. senator, congressperson or prominent government official.'” Now, what’s unstated is that he will only use it if it’s a Republican. “The ad says sources with documented evidence would be paid if Flynt publishes the ‘verified story.’ He is asking for submissions by phone or email.” So he’s got a million dollars floating around for dirt on lawmakers. Why does it take a million dollars to motivate this?

Anyway, that’s what he’s doing.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Jackie, South Jersey, great to have you on the EIB Network. Hello.

CALLER: Hi, Rush. How are you today?

RUSH: Very good. Thank you.

CALLER: Thank you so much. Long-time listener, first-time caller. But earlier today you had mentioned that Larry Flynt has put up essentially a million dollars for what amounts to, you know, what appears to be a witch hunt.

RUSH: It would appear to be, yes.

CALLER: Yeah. I am originally from Larry Flynt’s hometown. That would be Magoffin County, Kentucky.

RUSH: Right. Near Cincinnati, isn’t it?

CALLER: It’s actually up in rural eastern Kentucky.

RUSH: Okay.

CALLER: And if you caught much of the news over the weekend, you’ll see that West Liberty, Kentucky, and Salyersville, Kentucky, were devastated by the tornadoes that went through there Friday night.

RUSH: Ah, yes, okay.

CALLER: Since Magoffin County is Larry Flynt’s hometown, I would think that he would be better served and I would love to challenge him to send a big portion of that money to his hometown to help rebuild it. People’s lives were destroyed, their homes are gone —

RUSH: That’s not gonna sell subscriptions to Hustler.

CALLER: You know what? I don’t really care about subscriptions to Hustler.

RUSH: Yeah, but he does. The last time we heard from Larry Flynt, I don’t know if you remember this, but the last time we heard from Larry Flynt he offered Anthony Weiner a job after Andrew Breitbart exposed him on that phone scandal.

CALLER: Well, that sounds about par for the course, but, you know, I think it’s time to look back at his roots and give his hometown a helping hand. So with that in mind, that’s the challenge that I’m issuing to Mr. Flynt.

RUSH: Well, thanks very much. I appreciate it. What Flynt is doing is committing a bit of a mistake. He’s going back to the same well. He did this once before, or maybe many other times. I think this is how he got Bob Livingston. Bob Livingston was named to be the new Speaker after Newt left, and I think it was Flynt who uncovered that Bob Livingston had been conducting affairs, had affairs, and Livingston resigned. And so Flynt, successful once, keep going back to it. After a while the situation requires something more, something newly creative, something a little bit different. He’s going back to the well here on this. And, of course, there may be something going on in Washington I don’t know about in terms of this, but it appears to be out of the blue. And of course we all know, folks, that it’s aimed at Republicans.
