ObamaÂ’s America: The Land of Victims Getting Even

by Rush Limbaugh - Oct 3,2014

RUSH: When Obama got back from Illinois and telling big whoppers about jobs and the economy to the students at the college there, he went to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Dinner last night and fired up the crowd about illegal — ah! — amnesty.

OBAMA: The moment I asked — and it won’t be taking place between the November elections and the end of the year — opponents of reform will roll out the same old scare tactics. I’m gonna need you to have my back! I’m gonna need you to have my back! Anything I can do can be reversed by the next president. We already know how powerful the Latino vote can be.

AUDIENCE: (applause and isolated hoots)

OBAMA: In 2012 Latinos voted in record numbers. But despite that record breaking turnout, only 48% of Hispanic voters it turned out. Fewer than half! Fewer than half! So the clearest path to change is to change that number. “Si se puede! Si votamos!” Yes, we can, if we vote. Si se puede.

RUSH: Was the crowd loud there or not? I… (interruption) It wasn’t? (interruption) Well… (interruption) Well, I know we’ve heard it, but this crowd I’m trying to gauge the response. (interruption) He was all fired up, and it sounded like a few loud voices? (interruption) Yeah, but it’s a big room, and maybe they didn’t capture the applause. Anyway, he wasn’t finished. Obama kept go. He’s all fired up here.

OBAMA: America isn’t Congress. America isn’t Washington. America is the striving immigrant who starts a business or the mom who works two low-wage jobs to give her kid a better life! America is the union leader and the CEO who put aside their differences to make the economy stronger. America is the student who defies the odds to become the first in a family to go to college, the citizen who defies the cynics and goes out there and votes, the young person who comes out of the shadows to demand the right to dream! That’s what America’s about.

RUSH: Folks, that… I’m telling you, that tells you everything you need to know — if you just listen to it — about how Barack Obama and people like him look at this country. “America is the striving immigrant who starts a business.” We’re gonna get a list of victims here. America is a list of victims. America is the land of the oppressed overcoming the evil majority.

That’s what America is. America is the schlubs of life getting even with the majority who would keep them down. That’s what America is. There’s no exceptionalism. There’s no optimism. There’s no greatness. America is the land of grievances! America is a land of anger being redeemed and grievance being rewarded. America is a land of victims taking control. The striving immigrant who starts a business, the mom who works two low-wage jobs to give her kid a better life.

That’s America!

America’s a stacked deck where women have to work two pitiful jobs that don’t pay anything just to give her kid a better life. (Why? ‘Cause her husband’s flown the coop for whatever reason.) “America is the union leader and the CEO who put aside their differences to make the economy stronger.” It’s always: America is the land of the weak and the put-upon and the victims and the discriminated against getting even!

“America is the student who defies the odds to become the first in a family to go to college.” What is defying the odds about that? We give away money to send people to college now! We’ve stigmatized going to college to the degree that people who have no business going to college want to go, and they get in! We’ve got nor colleges, universities, junior colleges, junior-junior colleges, vocational tech schools than ever.

We’ve got more educational institutions that are screwing people up than we’ve ever had before, and yet in Obama’s world, college education is way over there in the Emerald City, and it’s only for the Oz to determine who gets to go. So, a student on who defies the odds to become the first in a family of poor immigrant, retched oafs to finally overcome the obstacles that America represents in order to get someplace.

“America is the citizen who defies the cynics and goes out there and votes”? He forget to add “10 times.” What is this, “the citizen who defies the cynics and goes out there and votes”? You can’t live in a city where the Democrats aren’t sending some bus to pick you up to take you to some polling place! You don’t even need to that. You can mail in your vote. You can vote early. What is this?

“America is the young person that comes out of the shadows to demand the right to dream.” Demand the right to dream? You can dream and nobody even knows you’re dreaming! You don’t need the “right to dream” and here’s one more, if you can handle it.

OBAMA: Six years ago I asked you to believe, and tonight I ask you to keep believing not just in my ability to bring about change but in your ability to bring about change, because the end DREAMer is more than just a title. It’s a pretty good description of what it means to be an American! … That’s the spirit that’s alive in this room. That spirit is alive in America today, and with that spirit, no force on earth can stop us.

RUSH: “No force on earth can stop” you from what? So you see, folks, America is a really mean and lonely place that has to be overcome. America is a place that has to be conquered, ’cause the deck is so stacked against you.

And that’s just sick.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Here’s James in Evansville, Indiana. Welcome to the EIB Network. Great to have you. Hello.

CALLER: Hey, Rush, thanks. It’s an honor to talk to you. I’ve listened for years.

RUSH: Thank you, sir, very much.

CALLER: Yeah, just calling about Obama. I mean, I don’t know at this point, this late in the game, why anybody is surprised at his actions. I mean, he’s coming to town here, actually to Gibson County — he’s landing in Evansville — just to basically further the liberal agenda by exploiting a minority business.

RUSH: What do you mean, “exploiting a minority business”?

CALLER: Well, using it to further his goals, liberals’ and the Democrats.

RUSH: Well, he’s —

CALLER: He’s visiting Millennium Steel that is minority-owned by an individual that was a Vietnam vet. I’m sure he’s a fine, upstanding gentleman, but he didn’t need the government to build that that business, and I don’t see how that could have helped him.

RUSH: Doesn’t matter. The guy is an immigrant, and so Obama can use it. He’s setting the stage, he’s setting the table for his amnesty. He just told the Congressional Hispanic Caucus last night that it’s gonna happen. He promised it between after the election and the end of the year. He promised them last night. He said it’s gonna happen, and I’m telling you what he’s waiting on, folks.

Let’s see how many of you remember, because I mentioned it earlier in the busy broadcast week. (interruption) That’s right. The early thinking is that there’s gonna be a runoff in the Mary Landrieu Senate race, and he’s not gonna do anything on this until after that runoff is over and she either wins or loses, because there isn’t going to be any credit to anybody for doing this. The reason he’s waiting until after the election is so Democrats are not hurt by it, and the last Democrat is Mary Landrieu.

If she does indeed go to a runoff, and it looks like that race is going in that direction (polling data is indicating that), he’ll wait for that runoff election to take place, which will be after the November election, sometime in December, and then do it, whether she wins or loses. But he’s not gonna do it before the runoff so as not to add an extra onus or obstacle to her reelection.

But, James in Evansville, I think there’s one thing if you want to have a little fun with people that live there. You say Obama’s coming out and he’s gonna celebrate and exploit this immigrant business — you need to tell everybody, “He didn’t build that. He didn’t build Millennium Steel. He didn’t build that. He didn’t build that. No entrepreneur built what he built. That immigrant didn’t do diddly-squat.

“He wouldn’t have had a chance if Obama and the libs hadn’t built the roads that enabled him to take the material to the factory to be built, if they hadn’t put the water lines in, if they hadn’t put the gas lines in, if they hadn’t run all the infrastructure. He didn’t build that!” You need to tell people, James, that are heading out to this thing today, that they need to shout! When Obama starts praising this immigrant for building this business, there needs to be a shout from the audience, “Wait! I thought you said he didn’t build that.”
