RUSH: Here’s Isaiah in Arroyo Grande, California, he’s 13 years old and is a proud, happy reader of the Rush Revere series. Hello, Isaiah.
CALLER: Hi. I’m so glad to finally talk to you.
RUSH: Thank you very much. You’re waiting a long time, huh?
CALLER: I really liked the third book. I liked it the most out of the series, but they’re all really great. And my brother’s fifth grade class recently had a fundraiser to get 30 copies of the third book to read for their social studies.
RUSH: A fundraiser got 30 copies of the book for the class?
RUSH: No kidding. That’s incredible. What do you like about the third book better than the others? I know you liked the other two, I heard that, but what do you like best about the third one?
CALLER: I’m really interested in the American Revolution and what went on and stuff, and it was very informative compared to like a more biased view from different perspectives.
RUSH: Yeah. Thirteen years old here, the future of America right here on the EIB Network. Isaiah, that’s great. I appreciate it very much. In fact, hang on here. Is it your school or your class that say got the 30 copies?
CALLER: My brother’s class.
RUSH: His brother’s class.
CALLER: They bought it, but we’re hoping that other classes will be able to get them, too.
RUSH: Okay, well, hang on here so Mr. Snerdley can get your name and address. We’ll send some other things out there as well. I want to send the audio versions on CD of me reading all three copies, particularly if you like the third one, ’cause it, too, is the best, in my own estimation. So hang on, Isaiah, don’t go away.
