RUSH: You remember eight years ago teachers across the country made their students sing songs praising the new president. The lyrics went like this: “Barack Hussein Obama, mmm, mmm, mmm.” And: “For all your great accomplishments, we all do say hooray! Hooray, Mr. President, you are No. 1!”

Well, teachers aren’t teaching those songs any more. There’s no “Hoorays” in schools these days when it comes to the president.

Lily Eskelsen Garcia, president of the National Education Association, says that Donald Trump is scaring children across the country to tears.

Ms. Garcia told the National Press Club last week that Trump creates fear in children, and that is unforgivable. She said that “for the first time in our country’s history — and I’ve talked to these teachers, she said — we have to comfort crying children because they are afraid of their president.”

The kids who are afraid, according to the NEA president, are: “Girls wearing hijabs, children named Mohammed, Alfredo, and Juanita, as well as transgender children who just want to use the bathroom.”

Now, Ms. Garcia, you know who’s responsible for scaring America’s schoolchildren? YOU! And your cohorts in your far-left teachers’ union. You’re the ones teaching kids lies about the president and everything else. You’re the one actually making them cry.

And the thing is they should cry once they figure out what a rotten education they’re getting from you and the NEA. I don’t blame them.
