RUSH: Two people that President Trump fired from the Justice Department are trying to send Democrats a message. They are tamping down expectations that special counsel Robert Mueller will deliver the goods.

Meaning: bring any charges to get rid of Trump.

Vanity Fair interviewed former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara, along with the former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, who said it’s gonna be difficult for Mueller to prove any criminal conduct.

Yates said, “I know a lot of people are sort of putting all their hopes into Bob Mueller. But the fact of the matter is, he’s going to determine whether there’s proof beyond a reasonable doubt that felonies were committed, that crimes were committed that can be used for prosecution or impeachment.”

Mr. Bharara warns that Mueller “may not decide that there is an offense to be charged or referred to the House of Representatives for impeachment.” If that turns out to be the case, Bharara says he’ll respect that decision and people who are on one side of the fence should respect it too.

These two legal beagles know this investigation is just a fishing expedition. But let me tell you, their warnings are going to fall on deaf ears. If Mueller fails to bring charges, the die-hard Trump haters who wake up hating Trump every day, who eat, sleep, and dream of impeachment, are going to lose what’s left of their minds. Count on it.

This may be one reason why all the investigators are big time Democrats, to give an investigation with no results, some kind of credibility.
