RUSH: Guthrie, Oklahoma. This is Carrie. Welcome. It’s great to have you here, madam. How are you doing?

CALLER: Thank you, Rush! First quick point is those kids at the border aren’t getting covered in foil. Those are actually Red Cross blankets they hand out in the kits when there’s a natural disaster. (giggles)

RUSH: Oh, okay. Well, I’m just going by Daily Caller story, it looked like tinfoil. They said tinfoil. I thought they were the thermal things, but if they say “tinfoil,” who am I to question the media?

CALLER: Yeah, they’re pretty thin. But my second point is, I don’t think enough people realize that what Trump is doing with NAFTA and the tariffs and all the so-called trade war is actually trying to fix the immigration problem at the same time. If we disincentivize the reason people want to come up here — you know, cheap labor for Americans and all that — then he’s actually helping in many different ways trying to solve the people wanting to come here.

RUSH: Yeah, that’s pretty deep asking people to figure that out without being told that.

CALLER: (giggles)

RUSH: No, no, no! I mean, you’d be amazed. The Pew Research people have this little quiz out there you can take. Koko, I don’t have a link right now. You can maybe find it. Ten statements. Five are factual statements and five statements are opinion. You’re supposed to identify which are opinion and which are fact, and the American people are bombing out on it. They do not know a fact when they read it and they don’t know opinion when they read it. I took the test just to see. I aced it of course because I would. But apparently most people are blowing this thing sky-high.
