RUSH: “Shut up!”
That’s what Senator Mazie Hirono (Democrat-Hawaii) is telling men to do. When women make any accusation of sexual misconduct, we are all required to believe them. Men need to shut up about it, because it’s men who are the perps. Men are predators at heart.
Women who come forward shouldn’t face questions, because women don’t lie. To question a woman’s allegations is to victimize her all over again.
To Senator Hirono, Steven Pagones should probably be in prison. He’s the former Dutchess County assistant D.A. accused of raping Tawana Brawley in the 1980s. It was a total hoax, advanced by Al Sharpton. Sharpton was never really held to account; his supporters paid off his share of the defamation suit.
To Senator Hirono, the Duke lacrosse players who were falsely accused of rape in 2006 should probably be serving time. As should thousands of other men who’ve been falsely accused.
But to Senator Hirono, innocent men are not entitled to defend themselves publicly, or to expect equal justice under law, simply because they’re men.
They have to “shut up and get up. Let’s do the right thing for a change,” and that’s what today’s Democrat Party has sunk to.
