Rush 24/7 Morning Update: Liberal Conundrum

by Rush Limbaugh - Jun 28,2019

RUSH: “Los Angeles Is Hemorrhaging Bus Riders,” says the L.A. Times. Over the last ten years, 95 million fewer trips have been taken on L.A. busses. They’ve lost 25 percent of their ridership.

Here are a few reasons. High rents are pushing low-income people to more distant areas, where they can’t rely on busses. The law allowing illegal immigrants to get driver’s licenses obviously means that more of them are driving cars, instead of taking the bus. Plus, says the Times, “a surge in the region’s homeless population has sparked concerns about safety and sanitation.” Translation: crime and filth on the buses is out of control. So residents are buying cars in record numbers.

That means that Los Angeles traffic is worse than ever. Which means bus travel takes even longer. Which means even more people prefer to drive cars. Which means California won’t be able to fix global warming by increasing mass transit use. Unless they can somehow force more people back onto the “hemorrhaging” busses. It isn’t going to make a difference to climate change anyway.

It’s a total cluster. It is a liberal conundrum of their own making and it just keeps repeating. There’s no way out.
