RUSH: Well, folks, we are almost a year out from the 2020 presidential election, the Los Angeles Times Editorial Board has a dismal view of America. In an editorial titled “Undoing the Great Mistake of 2016″ — I wonder what that was — they complain the country is bitterly polarized. Wages aren’t going up fast enough. Income inequality is out of control. Homelessness is reaching crisis levels.

The American Dream feels out of reach to many. And even though unemployment is low, a dark anger and anxiety are gripping voters.

They’re not done. Colleges are in bad shape because of culture wars. Global alliances are coming apart. Climate change threatens our very existence. And for only the fourth time in history, the American president is being investigated with an eye toward impeachment. Things are bad, folks, really bad. They’re dismal. They’re rotten out there.

So, what is the point of all this doom and gloom? Well, according to the Times editorial board, Donald Trump is the reason for everything bad in America. He’s “the most dangerous president in modern history.“ He has “hoodwinked” people, and he must be driven from the presidency at the ballot box.

Now, a couple of quick points. Despite what you liberals think, President Trump’s election was not a mistake. It was largely a direct and long overdue answer to you and your lawless, ruinous socialism. And to prove to you it wasn’t a mistake… he he he… we’re going to do it again!
