RUSH: I have a couple more sound bites I want to squeeze in here. Mark Milley, who is the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. This was Thursday, National Defense University, delivered a prerecorded video commencement address.

MILLEY: As many of you saw the results of the photograph of me at Lafayette Square last week, that sparked a national debate about the role of the military in civil society. I should not have been there. My presence in that moment and in that environment created a perception of the military involved in domestic politics. As a commissioned uniformed officer, it was a mistake that I learned from.

RUSH: Deep state not gonna give up. Now, to put this in perspective, I want you to listen to a sound bite from Richard Grenell, the former ambassador to Germany and the guy who declassified all those transcripts from Adam Schiff’s stupid little hearing. He was on Tucker Carlson a week ago tonight. And he talked about these kinds of things, these generals and military people disowning Trump.

GRENELL: We have a real problem in Washington, D.C., because it’s a system that is no longer really Republicans and Democrats pushing against each other to create a good policy. It’s no longer a fight between Republicans and Democrats. It’s a fight between Washington and the rest of America. It’s musical chairs from one agency to another. There’s no outside thought. There’s no outside perspective when someone like Donald Trump comes in and says, “Why are we doing it this way?” They attack him because he’s breaking the system. He doesn’t play by their rules.

RUSH: Exactly, folks. This is what pushback looks like. I’ve always told you. And Trump is the one guy doing it. And they don’t like it. They don’t know how to put up with it, but they know that they hate Trump and they want to get rid of him. And Grenell is pointing out, like Colin Powell, all these others, Mitt Romney running around joining the Biden campaign when they would never, ever, do that except for their hatred of Trump, it’s because Trump is still pushing back and trying to drain the swamp, meaning he’s still succeeding.
