The supposedly “nonpartisan” Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies has released a study. According to the Washington think tank, blacks are losing political power in the South.

RUSH: Another Republican debate tonight, one sponsored by the Heritage Foundation and moderated by Wolf Blitzer at CNN.  From what I'm being told, Wolf is rehearsing various retorts to Newt Gingrich.

RUSH: We predicted this, and you probably instinctively knew it as well: "The US economy grew at a slightly slower pace than previously estimated in the third quarter."

RUSH: Lo and behold, Obama held a five-minute press availability. What did he do? He went out and blamed the Republicans. Mission accomplished! That was the whole point of this.

CALLER: As a communications director, when news broke, my office called to tell me what was being reported. I was on my way back to the office from a meeting and when they said, "Media are reporting that the police were called because one little girl kissed a little boy," I was like, "You gotta be kidding me!"

THE HILL: "Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) slammed Republican members of Congress for including a measure that blocks stringent school meal standards and classifying tomato paste on pizza as a vegetable in a larger spending bill."

LA TIMES: "The victim's mother, Dawn King, revealed for the first time Monday that she had contacted school officials four days before the shooting in an effort to solicit their cooperation in toning down her son's behavior. ... She said she was told that her son had a civil right to explore his sexual identity."

RUSH: I don't like the thinking that says, "Let's let the country go to hell even further so that people will finally wake up and see what happens when the Democrats run things." What more do people need than to see what's happened to the country now?

RUSH: Obama sees a nation that has not gotten beyond its slavery past.  He sees a nation that has not gotten beyond its immorality, its racism, its sexism, its bigotry and homophobia.  He looks at this country and he's got a chip on his shoulder.
