CALLER: Hello, Rush.
RUSH: Yes. Hi.
CALLER: Yes. I’m calling in regards to why thugs do what they do. We encourage abortion. We teach the thug to take his girlfriend to the abortion clinic. He goes and he aborts his own seed with his. Later on that night he sees a young man driving a Lexus. He pulls him out and shoots him. And you take him to court, then we ask him, “How can you do such a gross thing?” Well, the reason why he could do such a gross thing is because we taught him, abortion has taught him to kill his own seed. If you do not have respect for his own seed’s life, how can he have respect for others? We have been teaching this in the black community —
RUSH: Do you realize that it’s attitudes like this that are guaranteeing the Republicans losing elections? That’s what we’re told. We’re told the Republicans had better abandon this kind of talk, abandon this kind of social issue stuff, including powerful Republicans, people don’t want to hear it. They gotta forget it, just like forget about enforcing immigration laws. And at the root of all of this is that we are all being told to pay no attention to the culture coming unglued. We’re told to express our concern in other ways. But I don’t know how you disagree with that. He says abortion has made us insensitive to killing?
Abortion has certainly made us insensitive to pregnancy. That was Margaret Sanger’s idea. I’m not supposed to say that either. Margaret Sanger’s idea was to convince people in America to abort their own seed, as he put it. Well, Margaret Sanger was targeting the black community, yes, that’s right. That’s politically incorrect to say. There are people watching Lincoln, the movie today, or reading commentary about it, I mean, people, elected officials who have no clue that it was Lincoln and the Republicans who freed the slaves. There’s all this talk about — the story’s somewhere in the stack — some elected Democrat as part of the budget negotiations going on, if we don’t stop the Republicans, they want to take us back to slavery. They want to take us back to the days of Lincoln, is what this guy is saving.
Well, excuse me, Lincoln freed the slaves. The Republican Party, that’s Lincoln’s party, freed the slaves. But today the truth is obscured by a pack of lies. And the lie is that no Republican ever saw a slave that he didn’t want to own, even today. That’s what the elected Democrats are out there saying. It’s like Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood is all about family planning. Yeah, but not the kind you’re thinking about. It’s called the elimination of black families. That’s what Margaret Sanger was about. Now, she’s long gone, room temperature many, many moons ago. And now Planned Parenthood, what is it? Planned Parenthood, wow, does that not sound really nice? They’re gonna teach you to plan your parenthood, plan your family. They’re gonna teach you how to do it right.
No. We’re gonna teach you how to not have one, is what Planned Parenthood’s all about. How not to remain a parent once you become one. And, by the way, let us take care of it for 250 bucks. Your average liberal will not believe what I’m saying. Your average liberal is gonna chalk this up to mindless, racist, hateful speech, all of this is the truth. They don’t want to know the truth. It’s alternate universe time. It was F. Chuck Todd who was relaying comments. It was an Obama aide, it was not an elected official, it was somebody who works for Obama. F. Chuck Todd on today’s Joe Scarborough show said, “So I threw the Lincoln analogy at a close aide to the President last week, and he said, ‘You know, with this Republican — with the way politics of Washington are today, there’d still be slavery.’ That Lincoln wouldn’t have been able to navigate the polarization between the media… It was an interesting and depressing observation from this very smart White House aide.”
So here’s F. Chuck Todd of NBC/HBO — I just throw that in to rile ’em all up. F. Chuck Todd, NBC/HBO, telling us how smart this Obama aide is for realizing that with the Republicans and the way Washington is today, there’d still be slavery if not for the Democrats. “Interesting and depressing observation from this very smart White House aide,” who in truth doesn’t know what he’s talking about. But F. Chuck Todd doesn’t either ’cause F. Chuck thought it sounded brilliant. Because what? It fits the 50-year-old or longer narrative.

CALLER: Hi, Rush! The impetus for my call today was that Chuck Todd comment. I used to be a Democrat, but the Democratic Party today is not my party. It’s the progressive party.
RUSH: Let me repeat the Chuck Todd comment, for those of you who just tuned in or if you’re still dazzled by what we’re giving away in the Two If By Tea sweepstakes, and if your attention still not back to the program here. Let me tell you what happened. F. Chuck Todd was on Scarborough today, and he said, “You’re going to like this. Okay, Ellen. Take it away.
CALLER: Okay. That being said about my past, I have never in my life seen a more clueless, unsavvy party than the Republicans. They have absolutely no strategic or communication skills. And, in my opinion, from 2007 on when Obama came on the scene. This isn’t about their inability to articulate their ideas. The biggest, most overwhelmingly problem is the media. The media plus the entertainment/fashion industry.
If they’re not biased, they’re not interested in debating ideas or putting everybody’s ideas out there. You know, they’re basically what you always talk about. They’re an arm of the Democratic Party, and I think that the Republicans have missed the boat. They allow the lies to be repeated, repeated, repeated, so the low-information voters just repeat those things as gospel.
RUSH: Okay, look, there’s no question that she’s right. The low-information voters believe all of this stuff. This guy that F. Chuck Todd talks about? I guarantee you, people watching that network are running around today believing that Obama is saving this country from slavery again by denying the Republicans their way.
CALLER: But, Rush, it’s all over the over the place. I mean, there’s no difference today between the news anchors and Joy Behar and Jon Stewart and Tom Hanks. It’s all the same, it’s pervasive, and what I found the most offensive is that it’s about our country. It is not about Barack Obama. It is about our country. I really think that the Republicans do not understand that they have to fight against the media. Forget about Barack Obama. They need to… They need to…
RUSH: No, wait. Ellen, hang on just a second. They understand it. They just don’t think they can. There’s no mystery about what the media is, and the Republicans clearly understand. The mistake they make is believing that they can change the media’s mind or make the media like them or make the media not criticize them, rather than attempt to defeat the media. They will not, in any way, do that.
CALLER: Well, I think that’s going to be the end of the Republican Party then. I really believe that. Because, you know, when they start with their questions, their suppositions about Obama’s “balanced plan,” where is the Republican who says, “Show me a balanced plan. Show me! Where is his balanced plan?”
RUSH: Well, now, wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. There is one. It’s Paul Ryan’s.
CALLER: Exactly. (laughing) Exactly.
RUSH: Well, now, why are you laughing?
CALLER: Well, why? Because the media portrays it as Obama’s.
RUSH: No, they don’t. They portray it as racism, sexism, bigotry, poverty, homophobia. They lie about it. Look, it’s one thing… Ellen, for 25 years I’ve had people call here and complain about the media. “What are you gonna do about it?” If you’ve got the answer, you could become a trillionaire.
CALLER: Yeah. I’d be taxed too much. (chuckling) I think —
RUSH: Are you telling me that you would oppose an income of a trillion dollars because of the tax rate?
CALLER: No. (giggling) No, no. Not me.
RUSH: No. Of course not.
CALLER: The thing is that I think these people have to be challenged. They cannot let those lies stay out there. They cannot repeat that stuff like Chuck Todd did today. The Republicans are allowing these statements to be perpetuated.
RUSH: Yeah?
CALLER: So the stereotype continues.
RUSH: Yeah.
CALLER: I think it’s getting worse.
RUSH: Yeah, they’re counting on people like me to refute it.
CALLER: But I don’t even think it’s to the point now —
RUSH: Except I’m not a trillionaire yet. (laughing)
CALLER: (laughing) I don’t even think the people, especially the moderate to low-information voters who really have no clue about the issues and what’s happening… You can’t even get to them because the media doesn’t allow it. So I think I really —
RUSH: Wait a minute. Now, it’s… (sigh) I know exactly what you’re saying and why. The problem with reaching a low-information voter… I’d ask myself, “If I had a room full of ’em, okay, what would I do? What would be the first thing I did? What would be my plan to try to talk what I believe is sense into them?” I don’t know what it would be until I actually got in the room and started talking to ’em. But I guarantee you it wouldn’t be long that I’d be throwing my hands up in total frustration and say, “It’s not even worth it.” I don’t know. It’s an interesting point that you raise. I fantasize… Folks, I shouldn’t say this, but I sometimes think about buying an hour of national TV and making a televised speech to the nation.
And then I think, “Okay, what would I say? How would I start it?”
