RUSH: There’s a new Obama ad, ladies and gentlemen, that just started today, because remember, now, Obama, as the New York Times is reporting today that Obama ‘plans sharper tone as party frets.’ Story says that Obama’s message was ‘disrupted’ last week. Yeah? Disrupted by who? What message, by the way? You know, this is where they’re really in trouble. He has no message. He has no message of change. Change isn’t the message. He has no issue message. He’s lost the rubric of change anyway. He’s lost the aura of change. His was a total personality-oriented campaign. That’s peaked, that’s done with. The story says they’re trying to figure out ways to make Obama’s arguments newsworthy. There isn’t a way. The only way was to make him newsworthy by virtue of this whole messianic aura that he had manufactured for himself. He’s running a campaign of personality. There’s nowhere to go, and this ad illustrates it. There’s nothing Obama can say about himself. He can’t run an ad saying, ‘I’m going to do this. I’m going to do that.’ Oh, I guess he can say he’s the ‘coolness organizer’ now. He said last night in the forum he’s ‘going to make government cool again.’ What you going to make government deficits cool, again? What are you going to make cool about government, Obama? He’s gonna run around saying he’s gonna make government cool, have a coolness project?

So here is this ad about McCain and about the fact that McCain’s old.

ANNOUNCER: 1982, John McCain goes to Washington. Things have changed in the last 26 years, but McCain hasn’t. He admits he still doesn’t know how to use a computer, can’t send an e-mail, still doesn’t understand the economy, and favors $200 billion in new tax cuts for corporations, but almost nothing for the middle class. After one president who was out of touch, we just can’t afford more of the same.

OBAMA: I’m Barack Obama, and I approved this message.

RUSH: How empty is that? Here you’re this new guy; you’re the agent of change. What the hell change, Obama? Gonna run some ads telling us what you’re going to do, going to run some ads telling us what you have done? Sorry, can’t do either. As to this e-mail business, George W. Bush was an e-mail fanatic when he was the governor of Texas, and when he was campaigning, but gave up e-mail when he went to the White House. They’re subpoena-able. So it doesn’t matter. Presidents are not going to use e-mail anyway! They’d be sitting ducks for it with these hooting and hollering leftist freaks trying to get hold of everything that’s going on in the White House.
