CALLER: I wanted to call and thank you because you were a big influence in my decision to join the Army, sir. I’ve joined the Army and I’m going to basic training soon, and you helped me realize what a great country we have, sir, and I just wanted to call and personally thank you for being such a good and big influence for me.

RUSH: Where you are going to basic?
CALLER: I’m going to Fort Sill, Oklahoma. I’m going to be in the artillery department. I’m going to be a cannon crew member, so I’ll be firing off the big cannons, leveling houses, sir, pretty much.
RUSH: All right, you and Sarah Palin.
CALLER: Yes, sir. Thank you, sir. I love that family, and I’m very happy to hear that she has a son in the infantry as well, sir.
