RUSH: You know, ladies and gentlemen, this Syria stuff, I just have to say this is getting embarrassing. This is not how a great power operates. This is just rank amateur time, everybody involved... We're in the midst of total absurdity the way this is being dealt with, the unserious way it's being handled.
RUSH: He drew the red line. He defined it. He explained what would happen if somebody crossed it.
RUSH: A "surgical strike" on Syria will be automatically said to be an overwhelming success. Obama was in the Situation Room looking at his own heads-up display, watching the damage unfold on the big screens right in front of him! The pilots will offer the proof. There will be no questioning of it because it's Obama, who cannot fail.
RUSH: There are other things in the news out there and I, ladies and gentlemen, do not want to miss or have anything go by here.
RUSH: You see what I mean about this being embarrassing? I mean, we can all sit here and laugh at it, but here we have the supposed maverick of the Senate playing poker during hearings on whether or not to launch an attack of cruise missiles into Syria,
RUSH: He had no point he was trying to make. He was hoping that every word would make sense when it followed another word, and he was praying that it would end in a way that made sense to somebody. And it didn't.
RUSH: It just makes more sense to me to be optimistic and hopeful than defeatist and negative. That's not going to get us anywhere. It's not going to accomplish anything. It really isn't... We remain individuals and we all only get one life. I'll be damned if I'm going to let the Democrat Party ruin my life.
