RUSH: A pro-government mob broke into Venezuela’s congress armed with clubs. They beat opposition members bloody while government security stood by and watched.
RUSH: The scheduled protests are underway in Hamburg. Now, you may not be told this. These protests, they are ostensibly tied to the G20, the Group of 20. The supposed 20 economic powers on the globe are having one of their occasionally frequent summits here where they get together for photo-ops and dinner and this kind of stuff, and they're always protested. I don't care whether it's anarchists or who it is. They are bought and paid for, and they show up, and the riot police come out, and they water-cannon these people. It's as predictable as the sun coming up in the morning.
RUSH: You will be happy to know that there have been — it's ongoing, no decisions — discussions about eliminating CNN's credentials in the Trump press office.
CALLER: This is the first time I have called you, and everything you just said in the last 20 minutes I agree with completely, completely.
RUSH: It's really from the sixties onward that this current onslaught against this highly developed American culture has been waged. And it's been successful. And I've always claimed from the early days of this program that at its roots — you know, aside from the overthrow of the concept of America, aside from the socialist or communist desires and the ideology behind the protest movement of the sixties. The cultural aspect contained a fervent need and desire, and that was to redefine what was normal — and I've been making this claim since this program began.
RUSH: Do any of you people in the audience know the name Shirley Jones?
RUSH: See, I'm not like other people. I can't complain about the things that bother me, because I'm not allowed to complain.
RUSH: He's talking about Western civilization, Western values, American culture. This distinct American culture that resulted from our founding that is now under assault, not just from enemies around the world, but from enemies within. That distinctive American culture which has given freedom its greatest repository and chance in the world is under assault.
RUSH: I always love it when there are Rush echoes out there, folks. I love it when I find in the pages of major publications points that I've been making, and Mr. Gelernter wrote it. And it's fine; I'm happy to credit him.
RUSH: Trump is just masterful at tweaking these people, at playing them off of each other. He knows how to push their buttons. It's funny, because they're sitting there in these press conferences thinking, "This is the day we're gonna destroy Trump! This is the day we're gonna expose Trump. This is the day we're gonna prove that Trump is a poseur. We're gonna prove that Trump's a fraud." And every day it is Trump making fools of them, except they don't know that.
RUSH: No longer is this just gonna be a long list of stories that I might mention on the program. Now, you will get specifically the stories that I talk about on the program and a select list of a few others that I intended to get to but ran out of time. It's going to be more of a real-time base feature rather than just a generic list of places that I go to prep the show.
