RUSH: There's a story in The Politico today, folks. Speaking of warfare, there are rumblings in the media and throughout the rest of the Democrat Party that Obama's class warfare rhetoric is starting to lose him the precious independents vote. I have a story here my formerly nicotine-stained fingers that The Politico is running an article that says "Obama Sparks Middle of Road Rage."
RUSH: Folks, this is a little Inside Baseball, but it's important because he who controls the language ends up winning the debate, and it might seem like a small thing, but I have learned and I have been given to understand that the "establishment Republicans" hate the term. They don't like being called "establishment Republicans," and they are trying to change the term to "establishment conservatives" and in the process co-opt the definition of "conservative" and conservatism.
RUSH: George in South Windsor, Connecticut, you're first on the phones. Great to have you here, sir, hello.
RUSH: This is Kevin in Brooklyn. Kevin, great to have you on the EIB Network. Hello.
RUSH: We are constantly getting questioned by people because people love our contests at Two If By Tea. TwoIfByTea.com is the website, the best iced tea in the country, the best bottle, the best label, and we sponsor the best organization to be associated with: Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation. We are going to be constantly running a little contest because we love them.
Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick was recently caught by the local media saying one thing and doing the exact opposite. Which is, of course, standard operating procedure among elected Democrats.
RUSH: Obama has cast himself as a warrior for the middle class.
RUSH: We go to the Orlando and Marty. Marty, great to have you on the program, sir. Hello.
CALLER: Hi, Rush. Dittos from Orlando.
RUSH: Thank you.
CALLER: On this Solyndra deal, when General Motors went through bankruptcy, the Obama administration totally disregarded the concerns of the bondholders of the investors, and at one point I believe Obama even warned them against being greedy. Yet when Solyndra was in financial trouble the Obama administration restructured their loan with special consideration given to the investors. Why the difference?
RUSH: Steve in Omaha. Great to have you, sir, on the EIB Network. Thank you for waiting.
CALLER: Yes, Rush. Tea Party and freedom lovin' dittos from the Heartland.
RUSH: Thank you very much, sir.
CALLER: It's an honor to speak with you.
RUSH: I appreciate that.
CALLER: Hey, you said something earlier in the show, Rush, that really gave me an idea. You said, "Whoever controls the language controls the argument," and that is so true.
RUSH: I told you about Steve Chapman. He's a columnist for the Chicago Tribune. A couple months ago he was talking about Obama in a very positive way -- his reelection, things he could do to facilitate that. Something's changed because this week Steve Chapman had a column joining a lot of thought that exists on the Democrat side that for the Democrat Party to be saved, Obama's gotta go.
"Once the Democrat Party has put you under its wing, you're in trouble."
