More Evidence of Out of Control Judiciary

(AP:) "Federal authorities may prosecute sick people whose doctors prescribe marijuana to ease pain, the Supreme Court ruled Monday, concluding that state laws don't protect users from a federal ban on the drug. The decision is a stinging defeat for marijuana advocates who had successfully pushed 10 states to allow the drug's use to treat various illnesses. Justice John Paul Stevens, writing the 6-3 decision, said that Congress could change the law to allow medical use of marijuana."
Now, this...

Clarence Thomas Dissent Echoes Limbaugh

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Can I read to you what Clarence Thomas wrote? I've had a little bit of time here to read the decision. This is in the marijuana pot case that I led the program off with today. Clarence Thomas, writing the dissent here. "If Congress can regulate this under the Commerce Clause, then it can regulate virtually anything - and the federal government is no longer one of limited and enumerated powers." That's exactly what I said.

Why No Podcast Music, Rush?

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
I keep getting questions, "Why no music?" Let me go through this once again. Maybe we ought to prepare a little statement for the website on this. Um, those that we have reason to keep, keep and those we don't, let...

New Class Envy Term: "The Hyper-Rich"

All right, so we have a story here about the ever-widening gap between the rich and the poor based on one one-thousandth of the population: 145,000 taxpayers. "The average income for the top 0.1% was $3 million in 2002, the latest year for which averages are available. That number is two and a half times the $1.2 million, adjusted for inflation, that group reported in 1980. No other income group rose nearly as fast. The share of the nation's income earned by those in this uppermost category [the...
