RUSH: Carmel, Indiana. This is Brian. Thank you for calling, sir. Welcome to the EIB Network. How are you doing?

CALLER: Hi. I’m great, Rush. Thank you for taking my call.

RUSH: Yes, sir.

CALLER: So as we finally close the book on Barack Obama, former President Barack Obama, I think it’s safe to say that for his entire term you really lived in his head rent free, playing the trumpet.

RUSH: Yes.

CALLER: Is that something that was surprising to you or something you expected?

RUSH: Yeah. I’ve had people ask me if I was impressed, ’cause Friday night there’s Obama talking about me on Dateline, and last week he mentioned me, always as the guy who stopped him from succeeding. I was always the guy that prevented the Republicans from cooperating with him. He came into office telling the Republicans not to listen to me anymore, and he left office complaining that they still did.

But I’m surprised that he would say it, yes. I’m totally surprised he would say it. I mean, let’s be honest here, folks. He is the most powerful leader in the world as president of the United States, and I am a guy on the radio. In his world, I ought not even exist. I ought not be anything more than a pimple on a bull’s butt. But it obviously wasn’t the case, and that does surprise me, I have to admit.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I just saw something else. I want to revisit a prediction that I have made many times.

I realize the program’s growing by leaps and bounds, and we have people tuning in for the first time every day here. I just saw on CNN, with everything going on today… We have the inauguration of a new president. We have Barack Hussein O and Michelle (My Belle) now at altitude in a 747-400 on the way to Palm Springs. We have the parade coming up. We’ve had the luncheon following the inauguration. We had the Trump inaugural address, which is fodder for all kinds of Drive-Bys. We got the punditocracy going crazy. And on CNN they did a story and profile on Barack Obama’s new website.

Really? Barack Obama’s new website was front and center news on CNN today. Yeah, Barack Obama’s new website. And it just reminded me what’s gonna happen. You know, Obama said… He was asked by many in the media, “Are you gonna stay silent or you gonna speak up?” (impression) “Well, whenever I see our core values under assault — uh, when I see our common values and core values under assault — I’m gonna speak up.” Get ready for that, folks. Especially after the Trump inaugural today (chuckling), I think we’re gonna seeing and hearing Obama sooner than even we thought. It’s gonna be fascinating.
