Rush 24/7 Morning Update: Party’s Over

National teachers’ unions are prepping an assault on Betsy DeVos, Trump’s pick to lead the education department. According to the Washington Post, the unions are urging teachers to contact senators to tell them to vote against her.

Trump’s Cabinet Picks Don’t Need the Jobs

RUSH: The left has poisoned people's minds on what the private sector is. They poison people's minds on what success stories in the private sector are, and it's time that was brought to a screeching halt.

A Viewer Fed Up with Fox News

RUSH: To opine on it is just very, very tough. I'll tell you what, folks. It's one of the reasons why I have not made an effort to get to know personally all these people in Washington or anywhere else that I might end up talking about, 'cause once you get to know them, it does change.

GOP Congressman Supports Your Host on Sheets Byrd

RUSH: This morning on Washington Journal on C-SPAN, the guest is — and this is good, by the way — a Republican congressman from Alabama named Bradley Byrne. And, in the old days, this might have gone the other way, but it's a new day out there.

Keep It Simple: Repeal Obamacare, Grow Economy

RUSH: Now, the concept of repealing and replacing Obamacare, they're already starting to muddy the waters with this, which was predictable. They're making it much harder than it needs to be up on Capitol Hill.

Liberals Reject Reality

RUSH: When I say, "They don't recognize defeat," what I mean by that is that they do not think they lost. They do not think that what happened is real. Remember, as I said yesterday in a recent profundity, to understand modern-day liberalism you must understand that they reject reality. To them, reality is something that we have constructed to exclude them.

Democrats Know They Can’t Stop Sessions

RUSH: The Democrats, they're going through the motions here of insinuating that Sessions has been a bad guy. He's a racist. He's a pig. Middle name is Beauregard; can't trust people from the South with the name Beauregard. He probably was a plantation owner, maybe a Civil War general. Can't trust the guy. They're doing all this. They're fundraising. And they are doing what they have to do to appeal to the lunatics in their base. But they know they're not gonna be able to stop the nomination.

Rush 24/7 Stack of Stuff

No longer is this just gonna be a long list of stories that I might mention on the program. Now, you will get specifically the stories that I talk about on the program and a select list of a few others that I intended to get to but ran out of time. It's going to be more of a real-time base feature rather than just a generic list of places that I go to prep the show.
