Rush 24/7 Stack of Stuff

RUSH: No longer is this just gonna be a long list of stories that I might mention on the program. Now, you will get specifically the stories that I talk about on the program and a select list of a few others that I intended to get to but ran out of time. It's going to be more of a real-time base feature rather than just a generic list of places that I go to prep the show.

Rush 24/7 Morning Update: Compromise

RUSH: Yet another Obamacare repeal went down in flames thanks to Republican Senators John McCain, Susan Collins, and others. It should now be apparent to everybody that there never was any desire to repeal it.

NFL Backtracking: “It’s Not About the Flag! It’s Not About the Anthem!”

RUSH: Note how they’re backing away from this. “It’s not about the flag.” Why are they saying that? Because it’s hurting. It is not helping. It’s not promoting equality. It’s not promoting unity. It’s causing division. And division in a big, giant business does not lead to business growth.

Trump Considering Executive Order on Health Insurance

RUSH: Trump said he's considering an executive order on associations which would allow coverage and buying of insurance across state lines, which will fix a lot of Obamacare. The insurance companies are opposed to that, by the way. You would think the insurance companies would love that, just on the surface, but they don't like it.

It’s Embarrassing! Republicans Really Don’t Want to Cut Taxes

RUSH: I told you yesterday this is a populist tax plan, not conservative, and the Republicans are demonstrating they're not conservative. Trump is not. He isn't an ideological conservative… It sounds exactly like what Democrats would hatch up.

Hopeful Drive-By Mantra: “Trump’s Katrina”

RUSH: In addition to the media desperately trying to make everybody believe that Trump's voter base is abandoning him because of this return, the election last night in Alabama, they're all trying to say that San Juan and Puerto Rico is Trump's Katrina. They are attempting to establish a narrative that Trump doesn't care about people in duress.

A College Sports Scandal So Big It Got Rick Pitino Fired!

RUSH: This is gonna be deep and bad — and if this does have tentacles that reach college football, it's gonna turn the world upside down for a lot of people who have a purist view about athletics, college athletics and sports endeavors.

Rush 24/7 Morning Update: Banned

RUSH: As politically liberal as Canada is perceived to be, it turns out they do enforce their travel bans. They're serious up there.

Where Have You Gone, Rick Monday?

RUSH: We've gone from an entire country celebrating Rick Monday saving the flag to a thrice decorated Special Forces Army man in Afghanistan apologizing for standing up for the national anthem.

What Happened to the Conservative Movement?

RUSH: The "conservative movement," quote-unquote, has always been thought of to be a specific, certain thing with membership of specific, identifiable individuals. And it was always thought that there was unity within the conservative movement because conservatism is a set of principles and core beliefs and values — and if you ascribe to them, you're a conservative; if you don't, you're not. Well, that isn't the case anymore.

Why I Don’t Engage Emotional Liberals Like LeBron James

RUSH: I don't engage these people doing emotional things, 'cause it's a total waste of time. All that's gonna happen is that you upset the very delicate emotional place they created for themselves, where they think they're doing God's work.
